Descriptive Report of ,
“INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY”
Date: 21/06/2020
Keeping in mind the Prime Minister’s appeal for observing the International
Yoga Day in schools and Colleges, Satish Pradhan Dnyanasadhana College has
organised a YOGA Workshop on 21st June 2018 to train the students of the college.
1 Maharashtra Girls Battalion NCC also instructed that the NCC cadets should
perform asanas and learn new ones. 30 cadets and 1 ANO from the girls unit
participated in it. Yoga disciplines our life and is essential to lead a fit and peaceful
life. Due to lockdown the yoga workshop was conducted on Zoom Meeting. The
cadets were benefited by the various asanas and performed Suryanamaskar,
meditation, Halasana, Bhujanasana, Salabhasana, Dhanurasana, etc. The program
was from 7 am to 9 am on online platform. After the yoga session ANO Lt. Radhika
Mukherjee ma’am guided cadets with the benefits of yoga and healthy diet.

Descriptive Report on,
“Corona Virus Awareness”
Date: 22/06/2020
The NCC Battalion has asked the Units to conduct the above activity as per the
guidelines given by Government. With respect to the given awareness topic, online programs
conducted on zoom meeting. 28 Cadets participated & were as follows:
A) Preamble -
On 27th of August 2020, all the NCC Girl Cadets of 1MAHGirls BN from Satish Pradhan
Dnyanasadhana College participated in the online program organized by MYGOV and read
the PREAMBLE and took an oath to abide by it. E-certificates were provided to every cadet
who got themselves registered on the MYGOV website and read the Preamble. Videos of girl
cadets reading out preamble bilingually in the NCC Tracksuit were made and shared on Social
Platforms to make everyone aware about the importance of the Preamble.
B) Pledge –
On the very same day pledge were taken by all cadets to render his/her service for
#FIGHTAGAINSTCORONA. E-certificates were provided to every cadet who registered on
the MYGOV website and took the pledge. The screenshots of the pledge taken were posted
and shared on all the possible social media platforms by the cadets and the ANO respectively
and reports were prepared and shared with the 1MAHGirls BN NCC.

Descriptive Report on,“International Anti-Drug Day”
Date: 26/06/2020
The International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking is a
United Nations International Day against drug abuse and the illegal drug trade. It
is observed annually on 26 June, since 1989.As we all know it has become
necessary to fight against consumption of drugs because it is affecting the future
of our country. "Health for justice, justice for health" was the theme for
International day against drug abuse and illicit trafficking in 2019. To spread
awareness about how drug addiction can be harmful NCC cadets made posters,
banners, pictures for the online anti-drug drive. There was Participation of 25
Cadets. Students were motivated and encouraged by college ANO Lt. Radhika
Chirivella Ma’am for taking such a great initiative. All the cadets posted on social
media regarding the same. College faculty conducted lecture on how to avoid
drug use and its disadvantages.

Descriptive Report of, “Celebration of Guru Poornima.”
Date: 05/07/2020
Guru Purnima (Poornima) is a tradition dedicated to all the spiritual and
academic Gurus, who are evolved or enlightened humans, ready to share their
wisdom with very little or no monetary expectation, based on Karma Yoga. It
is celebrated as a festival in India, Nepal and Bhutan by the Hindus, Jains and
Buddhists. The festival was revived by Mahatma Gandhi to pay tribute to his
spiritual guru Shrimad Rajchandra.[7] It is also known as Vyasa Purnima
marks the birthday of Ved Vyasa. All of this knowledge was imparted on 5th
of july regarding Guru poornima by ANO Lt. Radhika Mukherjee, and few
senior cadets on online platform. 20 Cadets attended the lecture and also gave
speeches on importance of Guru in their lives.

Tree Plantation
Date:19/07/2020
Trees are not important they are essential for living. They provide us oxygen,
filter carbon dioxide, prevent soil erosion, maintain the ecological balance and
many more. Also, they provide us food, shelter and many useful things. Tree
plantation is required to sustain life on Earth. Due the Corona outbreak this
activity was conducted by 30 Cadets at their own place. Otherwise every year,
NCC Girls Unit of Satish Pradhan Dnyanasadhana College takes an initiative to
plant more trees and spreading awareness regarding the same. But this pandemic
cannot stop us from taking a step towards protecting our nature. So all cadets with
their family members planted trees. Importance of planting trees was shared on
NCC Official groups as well on Social Media Accounts.

Descriptive Report on Celebration of, “Kargil Vijay Day”
Date:26/07/2020
Kargil Vijay Divas 2020: Named after the successful 'Operation
Vijay’, Kargil Vijay Divas is a day when the country pays homage to
the Kargil War heroes and celebrates victory over Pakistan in the Kargil
War. India will observe the 21st anniversary of Kargil Vijay Divas on
July 26. In the memory of our brave soldiers a program was organised NCC
unit of Sathish Pradhan Dnyanasadhana College. 30 cadets and 1 ANO
organised it on Online Platform (Zoom Meetings), Timing was from 10 am
to 12 pm. A lecture was arranged where seniors gave brief information
about the war. Cadets also prepared posters for this special day. Kargil war
was fought on 3rd may to 26th July 1999. It was about how we captured the
TIGER HILL, DRASS region, etc. Various gallantry awards were earned
by our soldiers such as Param Vir Chakra, Mahavir Chakra. There is a
Kargil war memorial built in Drass region. The day was successfully ended
by singing our National song and a salute to our soldiers.

Descriptive Report of Celebration of “Independence Day”
Date: 15/08/2020
The Independence Day is celebrated on 15th August every year to
commemorate India's freedom from the British Rule in 1947. Satish
Pradhan Dnyanasadhana College even happened to celebrate this
auspicious day by hoisting the flag at the college with all NCC Cadets and
ANO readily participating even during the outbreak of pandemic by
abiding all the necessary rules and regulations put forth by the Chief
Minister of Maharashtra and also extra care was taken by 1MahGirlsBn.
Keeping the pandemic in mind only few cadets were allowed with all the
personal safety measures taken on the day. The flag was hoisted by the
Chief Guest at 08.00 hours, then National Anthem was sung and then NCC
song was sung after. With all this the day ended and at 1700 hours the flag
was brought down by following all the necessary rituals.

Descriptive report of the activity, “Fit India Movement”
Date: 27/08/2020
Fit India Movement is a nation-wide movement in India to encourage people to remain
healthy and fit by including physical activities and sports in their daily lives.[1] It was
launched by Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi at Indira Gandhi Stadium in New
Delhi on 29 August 2019 (National Sports Day).
Fit India was founded in 1993 by Shri Suparno Satpathy and was incorporated as a
company in 2000.
The campaign has a "Fitness Pledge" that reads, I promise to myself that I will devote time
for physical activity and sports every day and I will encourage my family members and
neighbours to be physically fit and make India a fit nation.
This was divided in two parts: Fit India Run & Fit India Workshops.
1} Fit India Run –
Fit India Movement conducted Fit India Freedom Run from
15th August – 2nd October 2020 to encourage fitness and help us all to get freedom from
obesity, laziness, stress, anxiety, diseases etc. The concept behind this run is that “It can be run
anywhere, anytime!” You can-
• Run a route of your choice, at a time that suits you.
• Break-up your runs.
• Run your own race at your pace.
• Track your kms manually or by using any tracking app or GPS watch. All 31 Cadets participated in this Run.

Fit India Workshops: Period : 18th August 2020 to 10th Sept 2020
With the aim of making fitness a priority for all citizens, also encouraging various fitness skills
through 6 Workshops. NCC Girls Unit of Satish Pradhan Dnyanasadhana College organized 6
Online Webinars for Cadets from all the colleges. It was conducted on Zoom Meetings once in
a week from 18th Aug. to 10th Sept 2020.
1} Shobha Pillai: Fitness Coach
Shobha Ma’am taught us Aerobics, yoga & Zumba. 25 Cadets attended the seminar. It was a
live session so cadets were allowed to do the exercise with the tutor. It was conducted on 18th
August 2020, from 8 am to 9 am.
2} Shankar Pillai: Fitness Coach
Shankar sir is a fitness and wellness coach. He taught various fat & calories burning
techniques. 30 Cadets attended the seminar. It was a live session so cadets were allowed to do
the exercise with the tutor. It was conducted on 24th August 2020, from 8 am to 9 am.
3} Prachi Dalal: Fitness Coach
Prachi Ma’am is a Zumba and fitness Trainer. She has her own Training centre named Dalal’s
Health & Fitness Centre. She is a super enthusiastic person, cheered up every cadet attending
the session. 40 Cadets attended the seminar. It was a live session so cadets were allowed to do
the exercise with the tutor. It was conducted on 29th August 2020, from 5 pm to 6 pm.
4} Dr. Amit Kaur: Naturopath
Dr. Amit Kaur Puri is a Scientist, ethno botanist, Naturopath, Environmentalist, Author &
Poetess. She gave various remedies for hairfall, acne problems, weight loss, etc. It really was
and informative session. 50 Cadets attended the seminar. It was conducted on 31st August 2020,
from 10 am to 11 am.
5} Suresh Haldbandge: Yoga Expert
Mr. Suresh Sir is Academician & Yoga expert. He taught cadets Suryanamaskar & Yoga for
physical, Mental & Emotional Fitness.57 Cadets attended the seminar. It was a live session so
cadets were allowed to do the exercise with the tutor. It was conducted on 4th September 2020,

Date: 07/12/2020
The online program of Poster Making was held on 28th of October
2020. NCC Cadets from 1MAHGirlsbn of Satish Pradhan Dyanasadhana
College readily took interest in the online poster making program and
prepared posters in creative ways of the due condition that is the
PANDEMIC to help create awareness on the Social platforms. They paid
tribute and dedicated the posters to all the front line workers through their
drawings, paintings and messages. The posters were posted on social
Medias by the 40 cadets as well the ANO to create awareness and as an
initiative to appreciate all the front line workers for all their help in the
fight against corona.

“Slogan Writing Competition”
Date: 08/12/2020
Under the mission SWACCH BHARAT ABHIYAAN launched by the
Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi throughout the length and breadth of
the country as a NATION WIDE NATIONAL MOVEMENT. With respect to
the movement launched, online programmes were conducted to create awareness
and promote the mission nationwide. On 8th of December 2020, all the NCC Girls
Cadets of 1MAHGirlsbn from Satish Pradhan Dnyanasadhana College
participated in the slogan writing activity held on the topic SWACCH BHARAT
ABHIYAAN. Slogans can express the importance of cleanliness more effectively
than by explaining through oral communication. By cleaning the surrounding we
are not only contributing towards the nature but also towards our own health to
make our lives more qualitative and sustainable. The program was conducted
virtually and all the 40 participants drew slogans and even prepared posters and
published them on the respective social media platforms.

“ESSAY WRITING COMPETITION”
Date: 09/12/2020
Swachh Bharat mission was launched by Government of India to solve the
problem of sanitation and waste management in India. By inspiring from the
mission on 9th of December 2020, NCC Girl Cadets of 1MAHGirlsbn from
Satish Pradhan Dnyanasadhana College organised an essay writing activity on
various topics like Indian National Army, Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, Make in
India, Corona Virus wherein active participation of the cadets was seen. It was
conducted virtually and our 35 cadets wrote an essay and published it with the
help of online platform. Through those essays the cadets explained various
essential points which influenced everyone and which can be implemented in our
day to day life and help to make a small offering to the environment.

Swachh Bharat Awareness
Date: 15/12/2020
Swachh Bharat Mission, Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, or Clean India Mission is a country-wide
campaign initiated by the Government of India in 2014 to eliminate open defecation and
improve solid waste management. Phase 1 of the mission lasted till October 2019.
a) CLEANLINESS DRIVE IN COLLEGE:
Our College organized cleanliness drive under swacch bharat abhiyan. The main purpose of
this program was to create awareness among students regarding cleanliness and its benefits.
Even our ANO Lt. Radhika Mukherjee was an essesntial influence in this drive. The sweepers
of the college had to be the observer of our work. Total 42 cadets participated in this activity.
b) CLEANING SURROUNDING NEAR HOME:
The main objective of this project was to provide clean neighbourhood for our locality, so the
people living in my locality organized themselves into a number of teams and took up the
cleaning work. Cadets also wrote and circulated articles to create awareness regarding
cleanliness. Total 42 cadets participated in this activity.
c) Swacch Bharat Awareness through Social Media: 15/12/2020
Our honourable Prime Minister hoping to channel a reinvigorated sense of civic virtue called
all the members of society to join in on the campaign. He chose to kick off this drive with a
social media campaign, in which he issued challenges to a veritable list of who’s who, urging
them join in the task of reinventing the nation’s image of itself. So NCC Girls Unit of Satish
Pradhan Dnyanasadhana College took initiative to encourage those around us.

POEM WRITING
Date: 13/12/2020
On 13th of December 2020, poem writing activity was held virtually by 1MAHGirlsbn
for all the NCC CADETS wherein all the Girl Cadets from Satish Pradhan
Dnayanasadhana College actively participated and wrote poems on the topics given.
Topics given to them were
1) Indian National Army
2) Make in India
3) Swacch Bharat Abhiyaan
4) Corona Virus.
Our 40 cadet chose anyone topic from the above list given and expressed their views through
the poems and shared the copy to the ANO which further was shared with the Battalion.

Celebration of Republic Day
Date: 26/01/2021
On 72nd Republic day flag hoisting program was organised by NCC
unit of Sathish Pradhan Dnyanasadhana College. Principal, College faculty,
students, NCC cadets gathered on ground by 6:30 am, the program started by
7am. 44 cadets participated in the program. Parade began with drum music in
background, followed by a graceful Lezim Dance performance of NCC girls and
boys’ cadets. National anthem was sung by college choir group. Even NCC song
was sung by cadets. Principal praised the students for organising such a great
program. Speeches were given by faculty, students about why we celebrate this
auspicious day and when it started. Everyone was feeling patriotic and proud. The
program ended by 9 am with GHOSHANAS i.e., declarations
of Vande Mataram and Bharat Mata Ki Jai!!
