Mass media denotes a section of the media specifically designed to reach a largeaudience. The term was coined in the 1920s with the advent of nationwide radio networks, mass-circulation newspaper and magazines. However, some forms of mass media such as books andmanuscripts have already been in use for centuries.

Mass media includes Internet media (like blogs, message boards, podcasts, and videosharing) because individuals now have a means to exposure that is comparable in scale to thatpreviously restricted to a select group of mass media producers. The communications audience

has been viewed by some commentators as forming a mass society with special characteristics, notably atomization or lack of social connections, which render it especially susceptible to theinfluence of modern mass media techniques such as advertising and propaganda.

ErosionErosion is the removal of solids like sediment, soil, rock and other particles in the natural

environment. It usually occurs because of the movement of wind, water, ice; by down-slopemovement of soil and other material under the force of gravity; or by living organisms such asburrowing animals, in the case of bio erosion.

Erosion is a natural process but in many places it is increased by human land use. Poorland use practices include deforestation, over-grazing, unmanaged construction activity and roadbuilding. Land used for the production of agricultural crops generally experiences a significantgreater rate of erosion than that of land under natural vegetation. This is particularly true if

ploughing is used, which reduces vegetation cover on the surface of the soil and disturb both soilstructure and plant roots that would otherwise hold the soil in place. However improved land usepractices can limit erosion, using techniques such as terrace-building, conservation ploughingpractices and tree planting.

A certain amount of erosion is natural and, in fact, healthy for the ecosystem. Forexample, gravel continuously move downstream in watercourses. Excessive erosion, however, does cause problems, such as receiving water sedimentation, ecosystem damage and outrightloss of soil

Octopus (Plural Octopus) is a kind of mollusc. Octopus live in many places in the ocean, especially in coral reefs. There are many different types of octopuses, but they all have eightarms.

They eat mostly fish and small crabs. Some species of octopuses also eat other octopuses. The octopus is also called the devil fish. It has a special ink pouch that is uses to darken thewater when it feels like it is in danger. Many biologist think they are the most intelligent of theinvertebrate animals.

Unlike most other cephalopods, most octopuses have only soft body with no internalskeleton. They have no protective outer shell like the nautilus, which is another type of anima. What is more, they have no sign of internal shell or bone, like cuttlefish or squid. A beak, similarin shape to a parrots beak, is their only hard part.

Because of this, it is very easy for an octopus to squeeze through narrow opening betweenrocks when it wanders in an ocean. An octopus has three hearts. The octopus is capable tosqueeze through a hole as big as his eye, this gives an idea about how flexible and slippery thisanimal can be.
