R.B. Narayanrao Borawake College, Shrirampur has organized A One Day Seminar on
„Introduction to Intellectual Property Rights‟ on 17th Sept. 2013 in association with Internal
Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) and Intellectual Property Right Cell (IPR). 210 teachers and
students participated for Seminar.
The purpose of this seminar is to develop the confidence of students, who come from
deprived sections of society and the rural vicinity.

In the seminar Academia and Industry got together to discuss the problems and
opportunities for overall with respect to patent and law. As a key note speaker Hon. Dr B. B.
Kale, Director, MET, Pune, threw light on „Intellectual Property Right‟. He observed that, IPR
plays a key role in almost every sector and has become a crucial factor for investment decisions.
In today‟s globally competitive environment, intellectual property has placed itself on a
high pedestal in the context of economic growth and is becoming increasingly important.
Intellectual Property (IP) is the fuel that powers the engine of prosperity, fostering
invention and innovation.
He mentioned the key challenges of IPR: such as- economic offences should be
rectified; next, there should be a „Think Tank‟ or a group, which could bring a common
platform. To organise leading discussion and facilitate a well-informed policy decisions in
accordance with India‟s socio-economic-political needs. He, also, discussed on- Intellectual
Property, need to promote and protect intellectual property, Patent System, IPR‟s use for Society,
Trademark, Geographical Indication, Copyright and role of World Intellectual Property
Organization.
The event started with the welcome address event started with the welcome address of
Hon. Principal Dr D. K. Mhaske. He explained the rationale and the aim of the seminar. The
event was coordinated by Dr D. D. Patil. All the faculty members with M. Sc Organic Chemistry
and M. Sc. Analytical Chemistry Students were present for this function. The students actively
participated and involved in the discussion session. Finally Prof. A. K. Deshmukh proposed vote
of thanks.

Rayat Vidnyan Parishad
Three days „Rayat Vidnyan Parishad‟ was organized by R. B. Narayanrao Borawake
College, Shrirampur in collaboration with Homi Bhabha Center for Science Education (TIFR),
Mumbai and Rayat Shikshan Sanstha Satara, on the occasion of 125th
Birth Anniversary of
Nobel laureates Dr. C. V. Raman on 28th
Feb. to 2rd March, 2014.
The conference was inaugurated by Padmabhushan Dr. Raghunath Mashelkar on this
occasion Hon. Adv. Raosaheb Shinde, Chairman Rayat Shikshan Sanstha, Satara, Hon. Dr. Anil
Patil, Hon. Ramchandra Bhogale, Hon. Shankarraoji Kolhe, Hon. Ramsheth Thakur, Hon. Sau.
Meenatai Jagdhane and other dignitaries were present on this auspicious occasion.
The main aim of the organization of this Parishad is to discuss new trends in education
and promote collaboration, discussion and sharing of knowledge, experience and inculcating
expertise in teachers on emerging trends in science education and to promote the scientific and
research temperament amongst college and school students and teachers. In this conference
teachers and students from different colleges and schools presented their research works, through
oral presentation, poster presentation, scientific toys, scientific fairs, experiments etc. Selected
Padmabhushan Dr. Raghunath Mashelkar Inaugurating Rayat Vidnyan Parishad
research papers were published in proceeding of the conference. A special issue of Jadan-Gadhan
was published on this occasion. The following issues/topics were discussed in the conference.

The conference aimed to focus on the high school students and teachers and to make them
acquainted with the new innovative constructive approach of teaching science.

„Intellectual Property Right: An Introduction and Information‟ on 16th Dec. 2014 in association
with Intellectual Property Right Cell (IPR). Around 250 teachers and students participated for
Seminar. The event started with the welcome address of Hon. Principal Dr. D.K. Mhaske. He
introduced the aims and objectives of the seminar.
The purpose of this seminar is to develop the confidence of students, who come from
deprived sections of society and the rural areas.
Speaker: Dr Avaramuthan, Senior Scientist, Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO)
As a key note speaker Dr Avaramuthan, eminent Scientist from Indian Space Research
Organisation (ISRO) enlightened the audience on „Intellectual Property Right: An Introduction
and Information‟. He explained the Importance of IPR laws and Measures of the development at
national and international level. He observed that, IPR plays a key role in almost every sector
and has become a crucial factor for investment decisions.
During the special session „Interaction with students‟ relevant queries were raised by the
students and the delegates. The interaction was very relevant and meaningful.
The event was coordinated by Dr D. D. Patil. All the faculty members with M. Sc
Organic Chemistry and M. Sc. Analytical Chemistry Students were Present for this function.

conference.

Seminar on „Nanobasics and its Applications‟ was organized by Department of Physics, of R. B.
Narayanrao Borawake College Shrirampur on 18th and 19th January, 2016. 360 teachers and
students were participated in the seminar.
The objective of the seminar is to provide a forum to bring together a galaxy of renowned
scientists, teachers and major research groups working in the field of Nanomatrials to cross
fertilize ideas, knowledge and experience on the theme, which encompasses the areas of
Nanomatrials basic concept of thin film technology, synthesis of functional materials, ferrite and
ferroelectric material, Nano magnetic materials, Nano-biotechnology and Nano-materials in
coating.
At the outset Hon. Principal Dr K. H. Shinde welcomed and introduced the aim and
objectives of the Conference. The Programme presided over, President, Hon. Mrs Minatai
Jagdhane, Member, Managing Council, Rayat Shikshan Sanstha Satara. She focused the need of
IPR for the point of view of students.
On first day the resource persons were Dr Sanjay Dhole, Dr Mahendra More, Dr
V. L. Mathe and Dr Shailendra Dahiwale from Department of Physics, Savitribai Phule Pune
University, Pune, who talked on „Nanobasics and its Applications‟. They threw light on
„Nanotechnology‟ is helping to improve or reform many technologies and industrial sectors. It is,
also, applicable for Information technology, homeland security, pharmaceutical industry,
transportation, energy, food safety, environmental science, and many others.
For second day the resource persons were Dr K. M. Jadhav, Dr. Ramphal Sharma from
Department of Physics, Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad and Dr
D. R. Shengule form Department of Physic, Vivekananda College, Aurangabad.
14 faculty members and research students presented their scholarly research papers. 19
faculty members from different colleges, 09 faculties from our department, 08 research students
and 61 students were present for this seminar.
The event was coordinated by Mr S. K. Karpe. All the faculty members with M. Sc
Organic Chemistry and M. Sc. Analytical Chemistry Students were Present for this function.

NAAC Sponsored National level Seminar on “Innovative Strategies in Teaching, Learning
Process” at R. B. Narayanrao Borawake College, Shrirampur on 26th & 27th August, 2016
Prin. Dr. K. H. Shinde addressing in inaugural function of NAAC sponsored two-day National Level Seminar
organized by IQAC.
The Internal Quality Assurance Cell of R. B. Narayanrao Borawake College, Shrirampur
was organized a two day National Seminar on “Innovative Strategies in Teaching, Learning
Process” on 26th and 27th August, 2016.
The seminar was inaugurated by Dr. B. H. Zaware, the Principal of New Arts Commerce
and Science College, Ahmednagar. Speaking on the occasion he emphasis on the innovative
techniques in teaching learning process and also on enhancement of quality of higher education.
Dr. B. V. Jugale, the Ex- Director, IQAC Shivaji University, Kolhapur, Hon. Bapusaheb Patare,
Principal Dr. K. H. Shinde, Principal Dr. L. D. Bhor, Dr. P. V. Badadhe, IQAC coordinator were
present on this occasion.
The Seminar was scheduled in five technical sessions. The 1st session was addressed by
Prof. Dr. B. V. Jugale on Innovative teaching learning processes. Dr. Vishnu Patil IQAC
coordinator, Devgiri College, Aurangabad lead the discussion on topic Role of IQAC. In 3rd
session Prin. Dr. Sambhaji Patare highlighted the Role of Principal and Management in the
process NAAC Reaccreditation.
Dr. R. N. Karmalkar, IQAC coordinator S. P. Pune University who delivered the
interactive lecture on Globalization and Higher education.
The 5th plenary session was addressed by Prof. Dr. B. D. Bhole on Innovations and Best
Practices. Session 6th witnessed the paper presentation by participants. The valedictory function
was presided over by Hon. Prakash Nikam Patil. Dr. Praveen Saptarshi, Eminent professor, Dept.
of Environmental Science, S. P. Pune University was the chief guest, he spoke on Inclusion and
Quality Expansion in Higher Education in India.
The two day National Seminar was attended by more than 80 delegates from different
parts of the country and 46 full length research papers were published in the scholarly journal
having ISBN. The vice Principal, Dr. S. P. Cholke summed up the events of the seminar while
Mr. G. C. Wagh proposed the vote of thanks.

Department of Chemistry of R. B. Narayanrao Borawake College Shrirampur on 11th March,
2017, under Quality Improvement Programme of Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune. 212
students from including our college participated for symposium.
The objective of the symposium is to bring together academic scientists, professors,
researchers and students to share, the innovative ideas in Nanobasic Sciences.
At the outset Hon. Principal Dr K. H. Shinde welcomed the chief guest and introduced
the aim and objectives of the symposium. The Programme presided over, President, Hon. Mrs

A one Day Work shop on „Intellectual Property rights: A New Age Challenge‟ was
organized by IQAC and IPR Cell, of R. B. Narayanrao Borawake College Shrirampur on 28th
Feb 2018. At the outset Dr P.V. Badadhe, IQAC, Co-ordinator welcomed and introduced the aim
and objectives of the workshop. He spoke on „India‟s Ranking and Present Status in the IP Index
and world scenarios regarding IPR‟. Principal Dr. K.H. Shinde presided the over the function
Dr. Shivaji Pawar, delivering lecture on Drug design and IPR
Resource Person of this Seminar, Dr Shivaji Pawar, Senior Scientist, Wockhardt Ltd,
Aurangabad, emphasized on „Drug Design and Intellectual Property Right‟. He also explained
how to file the patent, requirement for filling Patents, types of Patents, recent scenario in Drug
Design in Indian pharmaceutical industries and enforcement of IP rights in India.
Prin. Dr. K. H. Shinde, expressed his views on copyright, trademark, and IP protection
act.
All the faculty members and M. Sc Organic Chemistry and M. Sc. Analytical Chemistry

Research‟ was organized by Department of Library, R. B. Narayanrao Borawake College,
Shrirampur, dated on 23rd
September, 2016.
At the outset Mr A.B. Anandkar, Librarian, R. B. Narayanrao Borawake College,
Shrirampur, welcomed and introduced the aim and objectives of the workshop.

The objective of the workshop was to identify the different types of library
Recourses and to inculcate ethics of research amongst researcher.
Resource Person, Mr Santosh Chaturbhuj, Librarian, Maharshi Parshuram College
of Engineering, Velneshwar, Tal: Guhagar, talked on „Library E- Resources and Ethics in
Research‟. He mentioned the various types of plagiarism which are commonly committed
by the researchers and the strategies to be adopted to prevent it.
Hon. Principal, Dr K. H. Shinde, R. B. Narayanrao Borawake College, Shrirampur
was the President of the inaugural function. He talked on different types of library
resources and how to inculcate ethics of the research amongst researchers.
40 faculty members were present for the seminar. The event was coordinated by
Mr A. B. Anandkar. Finally Dr P. V. Badadhe, IQAC Coordinator, proposed the vote of
thanks.
