When you consume, you may also put poison in your stomach!
Or, have you ever felt the cheese or instant noodles are eaten like the taste
of plastic? The situation was caused by chemicals from food packaging has been
absorbed into it. Thin clear plastic that is easy elastic attached (clingfilm) used to
wrap foods may contain plastic softener (plasticizer) which easily pliable and sticky.
Poisons can enter the stomach through food and beverages. Who would have
thought if the beverage and food containers are not only accommodate the food
you enjoy doing, but also bring toxic to your body? Look at your food containers, if
the container is white, shaped foam, and flexible, that's the cork (Styrofoam) -
source of poison for your body.
Research conducted by four countries (UK, Australia, New Zealand, and
Taiwan) since a few years ago found that the plastic softener ingredients soak into
the foods such as cheese, cakes, baked foods, instant noodles and meat that ispacked with cork and container clad with clingfilm.
Before the 1990s, research focused on finding potential bad chemicals that
interfere with health on a scale of parts per million (ppm). The researchers find the
dose which would harm our health when absorption is higher.
Each chemical has a certain level that would not bode ill. At that time,
accepted the supposition that a certain level (in size ppm) does not show adverse
effects, so it is not fair to examine it in a smaller scale. This assumption has been
proven wrong. Intruder system is very low hormone levels are even able to give a
bad impact. The scientists when it is difficult to examine the chemical
concentrations at a lower level in the size of parts per billion (ppb).
Now scientists have succeeded in measuring the chemical concentrations in
the lower scale is in ppb level and even up to the level of parts per trillion (ppt).
Results, levels of chemicals in a low level even would disrupt endocrine function,
especially in the fetus and the developing baby.
In September 1996, Consumer Organizations of Ttaiwan declare cork that is used as
a container of instant noodles dissolving styrene (contained in plastic materials and
can cause cancer) into the noodles when boiling water was poured. According totheir study, nearly 80% of instant noodles contains more than 400 ppm styrene.
Plasticizer of thin plastic and other containers will seep into the food touching
it directly. Moreover, if the food are oily and fatty foods, or cooked at high
temperatures (as in the microwave). Some foods that easily impregnated plasticizer
are cheese, butter, baked foods, mayonnaise and meat. Softener materials that will

be more absorbed into the food is heated or left for days in a plastic package.
Of course, if consumed continuously will have a negative impact on our
health, where we could have been exposed to various diseases, including
mutagens, diarrhea, respiratory infections and the most dangerous is the cancer.
Then, are we going to let this continue to happen?
[In conclusion]
Talking without doing something, of course only be in vain. What we must do
is find a solution to reduce the use of plastic materials and if possible, replace
plastic with a safer material. So that nutrients and vitamins that we eat will not be
polluted by plastic forming material.
