Coral reefs have a variety of very important role in the coastal environment, both in terms of biology and ecology. Recovery and rescue efforts should be done through the creation of artificial reefs (Terumbu Karang Buatan/TKB). Purpose of making an artificial reef is to get a package of technologies that can be applied to restore the condition of coral that have been damaged. Besides artificial reefs to provide benefits as a provider of spawning area (spawning ground) and a fish farm (nursery ground), reducing the fishing pressure on the natural reef habitat. Role of Artificial Reefs (TKB) placed on Kotok Island and Harapan Island, Thousand Islands is expected to create optimal water conditions so as to improve the economy of coastal communities both production and productivity of society itself. Artificial Reefs (TKB) placed on Kotok Island and Harapan Island is pyramid shaped with a size of 60 x 60 x 60 cm made of cement and placed at a depth of 10-13 meters. The study was conducted in May and October 2011. The results found that the types of biota tacks tend to be higher in comparison to Kotok Island and Harapan Island. Where the number of types of biota tacks on Artificial Reefs (TKB) 6 months of age ranged from 9-16, and grew to 11-30 components on an artificial reef 11 months of age. Artificial Reefs (TKB) at the age of 11 months are in the early phases of coral is formed. In the Artificial Reefs unit (TKB) found Kotok Island parent with long snapper ± 35 cm are expected to do the spawning
