Pollution spoiis our environment in many ways. The air
we breathe, for ixample, is constantly polluted by smoke and
by chemicals such as carbon monoxide in the exhaust fumes
of cars and other kinds of motor vehiclos.
The polluted water of rivers. lakes' and seas endangers
the lives of living things e.g. animals and human beings. A
good ilusffation ofthis is the oil released from tankers at sea.
