K K R R C C I I 2 2 0 0 0 0 5 5 Kontes Robot Cerdas Indonesia 2005 Robot Pemadam Api (Fire Fighting Robot) 14 & 15 Mei 2005 Balairung Universitas Indonesia Depok i Sambutan Direktur Jenderal Pendidikan Tinggi Kemajuan Ilmu Pengetahuan dan Teknologi yang terjadi dengan cepat akhir-akhir ini menyebabkan banyaknya produk-produk industri yang semakin canggih yang tersebar secara luas dimasyarakat dunia.. Salah satu tujuan dari pendidikan tinggi adalah untuk menumbuhkan, mengembangkan dan menguasai IpTek melalui mahasiswa dalam rangka meningkatkan kemampuan, harga diri bangsa serta taraf hidup masyarakat secara luas. Sehubungan dengan itu, saya menyambut baik diselenggarakannya Kontes Robot Cerdas Indonesia Tahun 2005 (KRCI-2005) dengan harapan KRCI-2005 mampu menjadi wahana untuk mendorong kemampuan kreativitas mahasiswa menggunakan ilmu pengetahuan yang dipelajarinya dalam membuat suatu sistem dalam bentuk desain robot cerdas yang ditujukan untuk menemukan dan memadamkan api lilin yang diletakkan dalam suatu bentuk lapangan menyerupai bangunan rumah tinggal. Diharapkan KRCI-2005 yang untuk kedua kalinya diadakan ini selain mampu mendorong kemampuan mahasiswa peserta kontes, juga dapat berperan sebagai hiburan bagi masyarakat serta wahana sosialisasi teknologi maju bagi masyarakat secara luas. Kontes ini juga diharapkan menjadi penunjang kegiatan KRI-2005 yang akan diselenggarakan secara bersamaan dengan KRCI-2005 ini. Dalam kesempatan ini, Direktorat Jenderal Pendidikan Tinggi mengundang seluruh perguruan tinggi di Indonesia untuk berpartisipasi dalam KRCI-2005 ini. Selamat berpartisipasi, semoga dengan KRCI-2005 kita dapat secara lebih cepat meningkatkan penguasaan teknologi maju serta meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan tinggi di Indonesia.
