  • PENDAHULUANPengertian Hidrologi : ilmu yang menjelaskan tentang kehadiran dan gerakan air di alam ini meliputi berbagai bentuk air dan perubahan-perubahan bentuknya.Jumlah air di planet bumi : 1400 x 1015 m3. Air laut/asin : 97 %Air tawar : 3 %24 % berupa air tanah0,3 % terdapat di danau-danau0,065 % sebagai butir-butir air atau lengas tanah0,035 % ada di atmosfir berupa awan, kabut, embun, hujan dll0,03 % berupa air hujanJumlah air tawar yang dapat digunakan langsung oleh manusia sangat terbatas

  • Daur/Siklus HidrologiDaur/Siklus hidrologi adalah gerakan air laut ke udara yang kemudian jatuh ke permukaan tanah lagi sebagai hujan atau bentuk presifitasi lain dan akhirnya mengalir ke laut kembali.Skema daur hidrologi dapat digambarkan sebagai berikut :

  • Proses daur hidrologiAir laut menguap karena adanya radiasi matahari, dan awan yang terjadi oleh uap air, bergerak di atas daratan karena didesak oleh anginPresifitasi karena adanya tabrakan antara butir-butir uap air akibat desakan angin dapat berbentuk hujan atau salju yang jatuh ke tanah membentuk limpasan (run off) yang mengalir kembali ke lautBeberapa diantaranya masuk ke dalam tanah (infiltrasi) dan bergerak terus ke bawah (perkolasi) ke dalam daerah jenuh (saturated zone)Air dalam daerah ini bergerak perlahan-lahan melewati akwifer masuk ke sungai atau kadang-kadang langsung ke lautAda empat macam proses dalam daur hidrologi :PresifitasiEvaporasi dan transpirasiInfiltrasi dan perkolasiLimpasan permukaan (surface runoff) dan limpasan air tanah (subsurface runoff)75 % terdapat di kutub (salju)

  • Fungsi Hidrologi dalam Rekayasa SipilPembuatan bendung pengelakBila seorang kontraktor membuat bendung pengelak, maka ahli hidrologinya akan menyarankan untuk membangun pada ketinggian tertentu sehingga hanya akan dilampaui pada kala ulang tertentuMerencanakan jalan yang melewati bangunan persilangan (gorong-gorong, jembatan, talang, sipon dll) perlu diperhatikan dimensi bangunan tersebut.IrigasiDalam merencanakan bangunan irigasi perlu diperhatikan kebutuhan air irigasi, ketersediaan air sungai, debit banjir dll.

  • EVAPORASI DAN EVAPOTRANSPIRASIFaktor-faktor meteorologi yang mempengaruhi evaporasi :Radiasi matahariPerubahan dari keadaan cair menjadi gas memerlukan input energi berupa panas laten untuk evaporasi. Proses tersebut akan sangat aktif jika ada penyinaran langsung dari matahari.AnginAgar proses evaporasi berjalan terus, lapisan jenuh harus diganti dengan udara kering. Pergantian ini dimungkinkan jika ada angin. Jadi kecepatan angin memegang peranan penting dalam proses evaporasi.Kelembaban udara (humaditas) relatifJika kelembaban udara naik, kemampuan menyerap uap air akan berkurang sehingga laju evaporasi akan menurunSuhu (temperatur)Jika suhu udara dan tanah cukup tinggi, proses evaporasi akan berlangsung lebih cepat dibandingkan dengan jika suhu udara dan tanah rendah.

  • TRANSPIRASIProses pengangkutan air dari daerah perakaran (rootzone) suatu tanaman dan diangkut sampai ke daun dengan membawa karbondioksida (CO2) dan menguap ke atmosfirEvapotranspirasi : proses penguapan dari seluruh tubuh air, tanah, tumbuh-tumbuhan dan permukaan bumi seperti es dan salju serta transpirasi dari vegetasi.Jumlah air yang hilang dari tanah oleh evapotranspirasi tergantung :Adanya persediaan air yang cukup (hujan dll)Faktor-faktor iklim ( suhu, kelembaban, dll)Tipe dan cara kultivasi tumbuh-tumbuhan tersebut

  • PENGUKURAN EVAPORASI DAN EVAPOTRANSPIRASIAtmometer : alat untuk mengukur evaporasi dari permukaan basah yang dibakukan (standardized wet surface).Macam-macam atmometer :Atmometer Piche : terdiri atas gelas yang diberi skala, bagian bawahnya diisi dengan air. Diantara gelas berskala dan bagian bawahnya diberi sehelai kertas filter yang ditekan terhadap suatu piringan (disk) Atmometer Livingstone Merupakan bola porselin berpori diisi dengan air untuk memberikan muka evaporasi.

  • Panci EvaporasiDibuat untuk meniru (stimulate) kondisi evaporasi permukaan air bebasPanci evaporasi dapat dipasang :Di atas permukaan tanah - Ditanam dalam tanah Mengambang di air

  • Prinsip Pengukuran PenguapanPenguapan diukur dengan panci penguapan Type A yang merupakan standar pengukuran yang disarankan untuk digunakan oleh World Meteriological Organization. Penguapan netto diperoleh dengan cara menambah dan mengambil air dari panci penguapan yang berbentuk silinder dengan tujuan agar muka air didalam tabung penenang tetap sama tinggi dengan titik tinggi pedoman (fixed point). Alat-Alat dan BahanTangki penguapan Type A merupakan suatu wadah yang berbentuk silinder yang memiliki tinggi 25 cm, diameter dalam 120.7 cm. Terbuat dari besi yang digalvanisir atau baja monel yang dilengkapi dengan tabung penenang yang terbuat dari pipa besi diameter 3 inci dengan tinggi 20 cm . Didalamnya diisi besi runcing untuk menentukan titik tinggi pedoman dalam mengukur posisi air didalam panci penguapan. Dalam panci penguapan diisi air hingga mencapai ketinggian 5 cm di bawah bibir panci (rim) dan diharuskan tidak boleh lebih dari 7,5 cm di bawah bibir panci (rim). Panci penguapan ini diletakkan di atas punggung kayu dengan ketinggian 15 cm dari dasar tanah dengan tujuan untuk memberikan sirkulasi udara di bawah panci.

  • Mengukur radiasi MatahariPada stasiun pencatat meteorologi dilengkapi dengan radiometer untuk mengukur gelombang pendek radiasi yang masuk dari matahari/angkasa dan radiasi netto yang dipantulkan.Radiasi yang dipantulkan merupakan penjumlahan dari radiasi gelombang pendek dan gelombang panjang

  • MENAKSIR EVAPOTRANSPIRASI DENGAN RUMUS EMPIRISMetode ThornwaiteMetode ini dikembangkan di Amerika Serikat di daerah beriklim sedang. Penampung 3 dihubungkan dengan alat penulis yang dapat membuat grafik pada drum pencatat 4 yang diputar dengan pertolongan pegas jam. Jika pencatatannya menjadi d = 10 mm, air dalam penampung akan tersedot keluar oleh sifon 5 sehingga penampung menjadi kosong yang sekaligus membawa alat penulis ke posisi nol.

  • c. Cara Isohiet

    Peta Isohiet digambar pada peta topografi dengan interval 10 sampai 20 mm berdasarkan data curah hujan pada tiap titik pengamatan di dalam dan sekitar daerah yang dimaksud. Luas bagian daerah antara dua garis Isohiet yang berdekatan diukur dengan planimeter. Demikian pula harga rata-rata dari garis-garis Isohiet yang berdekatan yang termasuk bagian-bagian daerah tersebut dapat dihitung. Sehingga curah hujan daerah dapat dihitung dengan rumus :
