DINDING SEL

MEMBRAN PLASMA
Robertson trilaminar membran disebut UNIT MEMBRAN

Page 7
SIFAT KHAS MEMBRAN PLASMA
Mampu melaksanakan transportasi air

Membran Sel Terbuat Dari Fosfolipid
A PhospholipidA Phospholipid
Page 9

BILAYER FOSFOLIPID
Fosfolipid dapat membentuk:
BILAYER
-2 layers of phospholipids with
hydrophobic tails protected inside by the hydrophilic heads.
The PHOSPHOLIPID
BILAYER is the basic
structure of membranes.

STRUKTUR MEMBRAN SELFosfolipid
Kepala Hidrofilik (mengikat air)
-Attracted to the water POLAR
HYDROPHOBIC tails (water fearing)
-Not attracted to the water NON-POLAR
Phospholipids can form BILAYERS
-2 layers of phospholipids with
hydrophobic tails protected
inside by the hydrophilic
heads.
The PHOSPHOLIPID BILAYER is
the basic structure of membranes.

Fluid mosaic model
Cell membranes also contain proteins within the phospholipid bilayer.
This ‘model’ for the structure of the membrane is called the:
FLUID MOSAIC MODEL
FLUID- because individual phospholipids and proteins can move around freely within the layer, like it’s a liquid.
MOSAIC- because of the pattern produced by the scattered protein molecules when the membrane is viewed from above.

Membranes are important to cell structure and function.
The plasma membrane
– surrounds the cell’s cytoplasm
– separates the cell from its environment
– regulates what moves in and out of the cell

PROSES MASUK DAN KELUARNYA SUATU BAHAN DALAM SEL
1. Difusi
2. Osmosis
3. Transportasi aktif
4. Endositosis
5. Fagositosis
6. Pinositosis
Page 20
Review: Substances pass through membranes in several different ways:
Diffusion
Osmosis
Facilitated Diffusion
Active Transport
Exocytosis and Endocytosis
}Forms of Passive Transport;do not require energy
}Require energy as ATP.
Page 21
DIFUSI
Membutuhkan bantuan enzim (enzyme controller permeable)
Page 22
Concentration Gradient
Diffusion is the net movement of molecules from a region where they are highly concentrated to a region where they are less highly concentrated.
Page 23
Diffusion stops when molecules are evenly distributed.
Page 24
Diffusion can occur through membranes.
Page 25
OSMOSIS
Page 26
Osmosis is the diffusion of water through a semipermeable membrane.
Page 27
Solute molecules
Solvent Molecules•Think of an example of a substance that could be a solvent.•Think of an example of a substance that could be a solute.
Page 28
What would happen to a cell placed in pure water?
90% water
10% solute 100% water
What would happen to a cell placed in a 20% salt solution?
90% water
10% solute
Cell’s are about 90% water.
80% water
Page 29
Transport proteins are embedded in cell membranes
Facilitated diffusion is a passive method that uses transport proteins.
Molecules move along a concentration gradient.
No energy is required.
Page 30
TRANSPORTASI AKTIF
Membran plasma permeabel selektif
Dibutuhkan energi
Contoh : Pompa Natrium – Kalium (sodium pump), mekanisme transportasi aktif dari molekul glukosa
Page 31
Glucose transport across intestinal epithelium2 transporters kept separate by tight j(x)s
Page 32
Direct active transport: The Na+-K+ pump (a P-class pump)
Page 33
Active transport uses transport proteins to move some types of molecules against a concentration gradient.
Active transport requires the cell to use energy.
Page 34
ENDOSITOSIS
Endositosis :
1. Fagositosis
2. Pinositosis
Page 35
Exocytosis and endocytosis also require energy. These processes involve rearrangement of the membrane.

FAGOSITOSIS
Contoh : sel Protozoa (Amoeba)
Proses fagositosis terjadi dengan cara aktif
Sel amoeba ke sasaran membentuk pseudopodia melingkupi sasaran membentuk vakuola dicerna
Page 37
PINOSITOSIS
