Personality Profiling
One of the most important factors in determining the career that isright for you is the understanding of your personality, also referred toas characteristics or attitudes. Research has shown that people mostsatisfied with their jobs are those individuals who are working in fieldsthat closely match their personality, interests, skills, values and goals.
A good career planning process always begins with self-assessment,which can reveal your characteristics, interests, values and skills. It willalso define your strengths and your weakness. Looking for a matchbetween these and the work you are considering is the most importantstep you can take before you write a resume or begin the search for ajob. In fact, when the time comes to write your resume and prepare fora job interview, you will find the task easier if you have completed theself-assessment process first!
OCS is offering four different personality profiling inventories to aidyour self-assessment process. These inventories, administered by thecareer counsellors, will help you to define your personality style orinterests related to work and help you to think about how your valuesor interests might match some specific career fields.
If you are not too certain which inventory to choose, you can refer tofollowing table that shows you a comparison of the four differentpersonality profiling instruments. Please make an appointment to seethe respective administrator if you are interested to do a profile.

DISC
DISC provides an insight into your style and likely trends of yourbehaviour. It does this by evaluating four key factors of an individualsbehaviour: Dominance, Influence, Steadiness and Compliance. The realpower of DISC comes from its ability to interpret the relations between
these factors. For example where a highly Dominant person has anequally high level of Influence, they will behave quite differently to anequally Dominant individual without that Influence.
Using this information, DISC can be used to describe your generalapproach, including yuor motivations and dislikes, strengths andweaknesses, and some of the basic assumptions you make about otherpeople. It can also predict how you will react to a specific set ofcircumstances.

(MAPPTM)
MAPP is an extremely flexible instrument for recruitment, careercounseling, job profiling and leadership development. It providesinsights into your natural motivations, preferences and talents forwork. When your job matches your true motivations, work seemseasier and is more fulfilling. Based on your preferences in theassessment, MAPP appraisals spell out the job content andenvironment that you will find personal job satisfaction.
The Worker Trait Code lists nine factors as essential criteria for any
