Article 2

The Parties agreed that the Jcint Reseai'ch Center shail conduct

activities including:

1. ioint research and deve!o1Jn;811t; J •

2. trainings, workshops, seminars;

3. exchange of researchers and academic staffs;

4. transfer c~ f technology; and

5. encouraging cooperation among highe1· educaton institutions

and private sectors.

Article 3

For implementation of the act:vities stated 1n this MemorandtlfTl of

Understanding , the f'J!inistry of Resea1 c.h, Technology and Higher

Education of the Republic of Indonesia and the Ministry of Science

and Techr.o!o9y of the Peopie's Repuhiic of China sholl designate a

Co·Jrdinator.

Article 4

China shall provide a funding for co-establishing the Joint Resear~h

Center, and the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher

Education of the Republic of Indonesia shall provide necessary

support !n the use of space and facilities.

Article 5

Tt:e Parties :11ay encourage, facilitate, aPd where appropriate,

coordinate the development of contacts and cooperation between

government agencies, higher education institut1ons, resear0h

conte;-s, private sectors and other entities as mutually aoreed L;.y the

P~rt1es.

Article 6

Ccordinators for undertaking programmes or projects undei- t;is

Memorandum of Unde1standing .

2. The conclusion of thoss implementing arrangements sh8il be !n

accordance with p!·evailing le1ws, regulativns and p;-ocedures \:;f

the respective countries.

Article 7

1. The protection of intel lectual p··operty rights will be m accordonce

with the prevailing laws and r·egulations rn the

countries.

2. The ownership of all intellectual property 1ights held by a

Coordinator or other entities involved 1n the cooperation prior to

entering into this Memorandum of Understanding and disclosed in

connection with this Memorandum of Understanding shall remain

with the Coordinator or entities vvhich disclosed it.

4. Th0 ownership and utilization of any copyright and relaterJ rights

resulting from cooperation under this of

underst2nding wil! be set out in specific arrangements between

the Coordi'lators or other entities in--..tolvec in this spec:fic areas of

cooperation. Such arrangements will take into full consideration

the equitable distributioll of ownership b3sed on t!~e contribution

of the Coordinators or other entit!es.

Article 9

With the written consents of the two Parties, the articles of this

Memorandum of Understanding can be modified .

Article 10

Article 11

occurred before the termination .

Bersama ini disampaikan bahwa Bapak Wakil Presiden telah menghadiri kegiatan the 2nd Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation (BRF) yang diselenggarakan di Beijing, Tiongkok pada tanggal 25-27 April 2019. Turut hadir dan menjadi salah satu delegasi Indonesia adalah Bapak Menristekdikti yang juga diundang untuk memberikan opening remarks pada salah satu agenda thematic forum kegiatan BRF.

Salah satu hasil dalam kunjungan tersebut adalah penandatanganan perjanjian kerja sama antara Kementerian Riset, Teknologi, dan Pendidikan Tinggi (Kemenristekdikti) dengan the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) yang berjudul Memorandum of Understanding on Co-establishing Indonesia-China Joint Research Center on High-speed Railway Technology between Ministry ofTechnology, Research and Higher Education of the Republic of Indonesia and Ministry of Science and Technology of the People's Republic of China. Sebagai informasi, dengan mempertimbangkan kondisi pada saat acara penandatanganan dan kendala teknis yang dihadapi, naskah perjanjian dalam Bahasa Indonesia dan Mandarin belum dapat ditandatangani. Saat ini Kemenristekdikti bersama dengan MOST RRT sedang berkoordinasi lebih lanjut untuk proses penandatanganan secara circular.

Sehubungan dengan hal tersebut, kami mohon Saudara berkenan untuk menerbitkan Certified True Copy untuk naskah perjanjian terlampir. Selain itu, kami turut sampaikan lembaran kertas perjanjian yang tidak digunakan kepada Kementerian Luar Negeri (Kemlu).
