Sejarah SMA Cendana Pekanbaru

SMA Cendana berdiri dibawah naungan Yayasan Pendidikan Cendana (YPC ) yang dulu bernama YKPI yang didirikan agar anak-anak pegawai CPI dapat menuntut ilmu dengan lancar & tidak perlu keluar Camp untuk menuntut ilmu.Sebelumnya SMA Cendana bernama SMU Cendana Pekanbaru.

Bangunan SMA Cendana sebelumnya terletak di Rumbai Plasa kemudian pindah ke Kompleks Enau dimana digabungkan dengan SD dan SMP Cendana Rumbai, lebih kurang 10 tahun lamanya akhirnya SMA Cendana mempunyai sekolah sendiri yang berdiri dengan megahnya.

• CHAIRMAN : Leads every MPS meetings, makes the decisions, and supervises the other MPS members’ work

• HEAD OF 1ST COMMISSION : Helps chairman in doing his duty, takes care of

religion, social, and environment . Also supervises 1st and 2nd deliberation councils

• HEAD OF 2ND COMMISSION : Helps chairman in doing his duty, takes care of

arts, culture, human resources, and tourism. Also supervises 3rd and 4th deliberation councils

• 1st DELIB. COUNCIL : Collects the students’ aspiration / opinion / information (especially from the 11th and

12th graders) and delivers them to the teachers and other MPS members during MPS meetings

• 2nd DELIB. COUNCIL : Collects the students’ aspiration / opinion / information (especially from the 11th and

12th graders) and delivers them to the teachers and other MPS members during MPS meetings

• 3RD DELIB. COUNCIL : Collects the students’ aspiration / opinion / information (especially from the 10th graders) and delivers them to the teachers

and other MPS members during MPS meetings

• 4TH DELIB. COUNCIL : Collects the students’ aspiration / opinion / information (especially from the 10th graders) and delivers them to the teachers and other MPS members during MPS meetings

• Extracurricular formation (ex: CEC, Science Club, CAC, sports, Paskibra, Sispala, etc)

• Community formation (ex: B2S (Bike 2 School) and Breakdance)

• Ask the school to give tolerance about the school’s rules, such as allowing shoes with white patterns, allowing uniform to be worn untucked, changing the women’s uniform from short skirt into long skirt

• Helps students to solve their problems, especially school problems

• Delivers the students’ aspiration to the school leaders/teachers.
