Dewan Gubernur Bank IndonesiaBoard of Governors of Bank Indonesia

Sesuai Undang-Undang Bank Indonesia,

pimpinan Bank Indonesia adalah DewanGubernur yang terdiri dari seorang

Gubernur, seorang Deputi Gubernur

Senior, dan empat hingga tujuh orang

Deputi Gubernur, yang menjabat selama

lima tahun dan dapat diangkat kembali

pada jabatan yang sama untuk satu

periode berikutnya. Dewan Gubernur

diusulkan dan diangkat oleh Presiden

dengan persetujuan Dewan PerwakilanRakyat Republik Indonesia melalui

mekanisme fit and proper test. Khusus

Deputi Gubernur, pengusulan nama calon

oleh Presiden didasarkan pada

rekomendasi Gubernur.

As mandated by the Bank Indonesia Act,

the leader of Bank Indonesia is the Boardof Governors which comprises of the

Governor, Senior Deputy Governor, and 4-

7 Deputy Governors, each of whom

respectively hold the position for five year

and can be reelected to the same

appointment in the subsequent period.

The Governors, the Senior Deputy

Governor, and the Deputy Governors, shall

be nominated and appointed by thePresident upon the approval of the House

of Representatives of the Republic of

Indonesia through fit and proper tests.

Especially for the Deputy Governor, the

nomination by the President shall be

based on the recommendation of the

Governor.

Rapat Dewan Gubernur (RDG)

RDG merupakan forum pengambilan

keputusan tertinggi dalam menetapkan

kebijakan-kebijakan Bank Indonesia yang

bersifat prinsipil dan strategis.

Pengambilan keputusan dalam RDG

dilakukan secara musyawarah untuk

mufakat. Apabila mufakat tidak tercapai,

Gubernur berwenang menetapkan

keputusan akhir. Undang-Undang Bank

Indonesia mensyaratkan jumlah minimal

RDG yaitu sekali sebulan untuk RDG

Bulanan dan sekali seminggu untuk RDG

Mingguan. Salah satu keputusan penting

yang dihasilkan RDG Bulanan adalah

penetapan BI rate. Keputusan ini segera

dipublikasikan di media massa dan

website Bank Indonesia (www.bi.go.id).

The Board of Governors Meeting

(RDG)

RDG represents the highest decision-

making forum used to determine Bank

Indonesias principal and strategic policies.

RDG decision-making is conducted

through deliberation. If consensus is not

reached, the Governor of Bank Indonesia

will have the final decision. The Bank

Indonesia Act stipulates that the minimum

number of RDG held once a month for the

Monthly RDG and once a week for the

Weekly RDG. One of the most important

decisions deliberated at the Monthly RDG

is the announcement of the BI rate. This is

immediately published through the mass

media as well as Bank Indonesias own

website (www.bi.go.id).
