This project will facilitate young people to become familiar with the meanings ofnames as a part of religious identity. Two or three groups of young people fromdifferent religions will be invited to get to know names that are associated withcertain religions. Profiles of the associates of the Prophet and the saints will bedisplayed and each participant will adopt names of figures from other religions.

3 AKSARA [LETTERS]

Some written letters are often identified with certain religions. From the Arabiclanguage course for foreign workers, we know that Arab letters and languageare not solely concerned with the Islamic religion. It is also used in daily life.This project brings many different kinds of written letters from various culturalbackgrounds, such as China, Arabia, Korea, India, Japan, and Java, tointroduce them to the public so that language and letters are seen as more thanpart of a particular religion or belief.

Visitors will be able to have their names written in these letters and learn how towrite them. If you bring a white shirt, you can silk screen several words usingthese letters on to the shirt.

songs Ilir-ilir and Gundul-Gundul Pacul . He also designed the takwa outfit. Thecity landscape that centers around the alun-alun (open field) with two banyantrees in the middle and the great mosque on the west side is his concept.

As part of this project of syncretism, these children’s songs will be performed on

the Transjogja city bus. The passengers will be entertained by the children’schorus and they will be invited to sing along.

5 PICNICTime: Sunday, December 11 and 18, 2011

This event invites kindergarten children (5 and 6 years old) from variousreligions to join in picnics at places of religious worship. In each group, two orthree children will serve as guides in each place. This event does not involveadults. The next week, the children will tell stories about their picnic experience.Parents will be invited to listen to the children’s stories about their experiences.
