1. Kepayang or in Latin, Pangium edule is one type of tree whose seeds have been used as oil since ancient times by ancestors in the upper reaches of the Kab. Sarolangun.

2. This petroleum oil is almost destroyed as time goes by. Though this kepayang oil is very beneficial for health because it has a high content of omega 3, anti-oxidant compounds include vitamin C, iron ions, carotene, saponins and polyphenols.

3. From the research it is known that 100 grams of kluwak contain 273 calories, 13.5 grams of protein, 14 grams of vegetable fat, 40 mg of calcium, 100 mg of phosphorus and 8 mg of iron. Kepayang oil also contains 0.10 IU Vit.A, 0.15 mg Vit.B and 30 mg Vit.C.

4. For this reason, ancestral heritage needs to be preserved as one of the increasing income of rural communities in the working area of Limau FMU.
