SIMPLE PAST TENSE

(1) Kapan digunakan?

• Saat kita membicarakan peristiwa di masa lalu yang terjadi pada waktu tertentu.

• Berikut ini ekspresi yg digunakan: yesterday, last night, a month ago, last week, yesterday afternoon, etc

(2) Contohnya??

• S + V2

• I played football yesterday.

• Chika sat in the classroom.

• I was sick last month.

(3) Kalimat negatif

Tambahkan did not = didn’t untuk membentuk kalimat negatif

S + did not + V1 I did not see Yulia this morning. Joni did not go to church last Sunday. Udin did not watch TV last night.

(4) Kalimat tanya

Tambahkan“Did” sebelum subjek. Dan “ ? ” di akhir kalimat

Did + S + V1

Did you have breakfast this morning?Did you wash the dishes last night?Did you bring the umbrella?

(5) To Be

Statements:“I / He / She / It” was very good.“You / We / They” were very smart.

Questions:Was “I / he / she / it” very good?Were “you / we / they” very smart?

Negative sentences:“I / He / She / It” was not very good.“You / We / They” were not very smart.
