2. General Organoleptic and Health Characteristics
Riceshallbesafeandsuitableforhumanconsumption.Riceshallbefreefromabnormalflavours,colours,livingordeadinsects,insectfragmentsandmites.
TheproductshallbepreparedandhandledinaccordancewiththeappropriatesectionsoftheCodexAlimentariusCommission,CAC/RCP1-1969GeneralPrinciplesofFoodHygiene(Adopted1969,Amendment1999,Revision1997and2003).
RiceshallcomplywiththemaximumresiduelimitsforpesticidesestablishedbyCodexAlimentariusCommission.PesticideResiduesinFoodandFeed,commoditydetailsGC0649–Rice.
