PROFESSIONAL WORK CATEGORIES
QUALIFICATIONS
a. CIVIL ENGINEERING
Requires engineering expertise in planning, designing, permitting, bidding, and
construction administration services in connection with Civil Engineering, as well as
knowledge of current rules and regulations of local, state, and federal agencies regulating
the industry, including the Department of Environmental Protection, the South Florida
Water Management District, the United States Environmental Protection Agency, the
United States Corps of Engineers, and any other governmental authorities having
jurisdiction over the same. The firm must employ at least one professional engineer,
registered with the Florida State Board of Professional Engineers, having training and
experience in this general area.
b. STRUCTURAL SYSTEMS ENGINEERING
Requires engineering expertise in planning, designing, permitting, bidding, and
construction administration services in connection with structural design and building, as
well as knowledge of current rules and regulations of local, state, and federal agencies
regulating the industry. The firm must employ at least one professional engineer,
registered with the Florida State Board of Professional Engineers, having training and
experience in the area of Structural Systems and Structural Engineering.
c. CONSTRUCTION ENGINEERING INSPECTION
Requires engineering expertise in inspecting, planning, permitting, bidding, special
inspector services, threshold inspector services, and construction administration services
in connection with multi-discipline design, as well as knowledge of the Florida Building
Code and the related current rules and regulations of local, state, and federal agencies
and jurisdictions regulating the industry. The firm must employ at least one professional
engineer, registered with the Florida State Board of Professional Engineers, having
training and experience in the area of Construction Engineering Inspection.
d. ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS ENGINEERING
Requires engineering expertise in planning, designing, permitting, bidding, and
construction administration services in connection with electrical systems as well as
knowledge of current rules and regulations of local, state, and federal agencies regulating
the industry. The firm must employ at least one professional engineer, registered with
the Florida Board of Professional Engineers, having training and experience in the area of
Electrical Systems and Electrical Engineering.

e. MECHANICAL SYSTEMS ENGINEERING
Requires engineering expertise in planning, designing, permitting, bidding, and
construction administration services in connection with mechanical, plumbing, and fire
protection systems as well as knowledge of current rules and regulations of local, state,
and federal agencies regulating the industry. The firm must employ at least one
professional engineer, registered with the Florida Board of Professional Engineers, having
training and experience in the area of Mechanical Systems and Mechanical Engineering.
f. TRANSPORTATION ENGINEERING
Requires engineering expertise in planning, designing, permitting, bidding, and
construction administration phases of services in connection with transportation
infrastructures, traffic studies, warrant studies, and signals. The firm must employee at
least one professional engineer, registered with the Florida State Board of Professional
Engineers, having training and experience in the area of Transportation Engineering.
g. SURVEYING AND MAPPING SERVICES
Requires surveying experience in the preparation of Boundary, Site, Topographic and
Right-of-Way Surveys, and Sketch and Legal Descriptions in conformance with the Florida
Minimum Technical Standards. The firm must employ at least one land surveyor,
registered with the Florida State Board of Land Surveyors, having at least one year of land
surveying experience acting as responsible in charge. The Consultant must employ and
enlist sufficient staff to undertake the requirements normally associated with this type of
work and must document the availability of proper equipment to perform this work.
h. ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN
Requires architectural expertise in planning, designing, permitting, bidding, and
construction administration phases of service in Architectural Design. The firm must
employ at least one architect, registered with the Florida State Board of Architecture and
Interior Design. Additionally, the firm must have knowledge of current rules and
regulations of local, state, and federal agencies regulating the environment and all land
use and building code provisions, including the Department of Environmental Protection,
the South Florida Water Management District, the United States Environmental
Protection Agency, the South Florida Building Code, and the United States Corps of
Engineers.
i. LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT (INCLUDES LAND PLANNING)
Requires expertise in land planning, designing, permitting, bidding, and construction
administration phases of service for Landscape Architecture. The firm must employ at
least one landscape architect, registered with the Florida State Board of Landscape
Architecture. Additionally, the firm must employ sufficient personnel to provide services
normally associated with this type of land planning services.

j. ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENTS
Requires engineering expertise in planning, designing, permitting, bidding, and
construction administration phases of service for Environmental Assessments, as well as
knowledge of current rules and regulations of local, state, and federal agencies regulating
the environment and all land use and building code provisions, including the Department
of Environmental Protection, the South Florida Water Management District, the United
State Environmental Protection Agency, the South Florida Building Code, and the United
States Corps of Engineers.
k. GEO-TECHNICAL SERVICES
Requires engineering expertise in connection with Geotechnical Analysis. The firm must
employ at least one professional engineer, registered with the Florida State Board of
Professional Engineers having demonstrated experience in the activities normally
associated with this work. The Consultant must employ and enlist sufficient staff to
undertake the requirements normally associated with this type of work and must
document the availability of proper equipment to perform this work.
l. PLANNING SERVICES
Requires planning expertise in connection with Land Development Regulations and
Comprehensive Plans for site planning, architectural design, urban design, landscape
review, etc. The firm must have knowledge of the City’s Comprehensive Plan and Land
Development Regulations, as well as, the current rules and regulations of local, state and
federal agencies regulating all land use and building code provisions. Additionally, the firm
must employ sufficient personnel to provide services normally associated with land
planning services.
m. GEOGRAPHIC INFORMATION SERVICES
Requires Geographic Information Services (GIS) expertise and experience in GPS mapping,
data collection, GIS database manipulation and management. May require expertise and
experience in aerial and LIDAR imagery acquisition, manipulation and management.
n. DRAFTING SUPPORT SERVICES
Provide drafting support services to the city as needed to accommodate and support
multiple disciplines. Proficiency in all current and recent releases of AutoCAD, BIM, and
Revit.
o. ACOUSTICAL ENGINEER
Provide testing, measurement, reporting, and analysis of product and materials; control
of noise related to transportation systems; control of noise from building systems;
environmental noise control within and near buildings; vibration and seismic control;

to testify as an expert witness for City during Code Enforcement Special Magistrate

ASSIGNMENT OF WORK PROJECTS
For each professional work category, the City has made multiple awards to the responsive and responsible highest-ranking Proposers whose qualifications were determined by the Evaluation Committee as being the most advantageous to the City.
Work projects will be assigned as follows:
1. Projects will be awarded based on qualifications and availability, at the sole discretion of the City, per work category. There is no guarantee of work to any firm.
2. If the highest-ranked firm is not able to perform the work on the City’s
initial request, the next highest-ranked firm will be offered the work. 3. The City may also consider whether a firm is currently working on a City
project, possible conflicts of interest, or other reasons that the City deems in its best interests, in the assignment of work projects.

FEE SCHEDULE EFFECTIVE DATE – JANUARY 1, 2015
Expenses: In addition to labor, WANTMAN bills for the following project related costs at a contractually agreed markup: printing; conference calling charges; document review, permit or recording fees paid on behalf of CLIENT; shipping; bid advertisement; specialty materials, software or equipment rental; sub-consultant fees; costs of project related employee travel including meals, lodging, airfare and miscellaneous travel costs such as tolls, parking, etc; mileage for all company-owned vehicles (trucks) will be charged at $0.85/mile; employee owned vehicles used for transportation related to the Project will be charged at the prevailing federal mileage rate allowed by the IRS at the time the travel occurs. WANTMAN also bills for the cost of internal reproduction and the use of specialized equipment related to subsurface utility vacuum excavation, mobile scanning (LIDAR), and hydrographic surveying. Rates Are Valid Through December 31, 2015
