INTRODUCTIONi. The Kerala State Self-Financing Pharmacy College Managements Association (KSSPCMA) has decided to
conduct a separate selection procedure for admission to M.Pharm and Pharm.D. (PB) courses 2017-2018, in the member colleges except for NRI seats and seats that may be set apart for allotment by the state, by individual Colleges.
ii Theselffinancingcolleges listed inthisprospectusconduct2yearsPostGraduatecourse inPharmacy(M.Pharm) and 3 Years Pharm.D (Post Baccalaureate) course as per the syllabus of the Kerala University of Health Sciences, Thrissur.
iii. Thisprospectusissubjecttomodification,additionordeletionasmaybedeemednecessarybytheassociationand subject to the Judgments of Honorable Courts of Law.
iv. TheprospectuscontainstherulesandregulationsapplicabletotheseatstobefilledbytheManagementsoftheself-financingPharmacycollegestotheM.PharmandPharm.D.(PB)coursesfortheyear2017-2018for the colleges who are members of KSSPCMA.
v. Each college will have its own policies of reservation and the same will be stated in page allotted for the college.
COllegeS AND NUMBeR OF SeATSi The details of the member colleges offering Pharm.D. (PB) and M.Pharm courses with the specialization
offered by the college and number of seats are given in the annexure-I.ii The maximum number of seats in each college is as per the sanction obtained by each college from AICTE
/PCIandaffiliationfromKeralaUniversityofHealthSciences,Thrissur.iii. The government and the respective managements are in the process of negotiation for seat sharing. The
currentunderstandingisthatthemanagementsmaypermittheGovernmenttofillup50%ofseatsforMPharmCourse.Hencethisprospectusisfortakingofthebalance50%seats.Incasenoagreementisarrivedat,thecollegeswillfilluptheentireseats.Seatsthatmayremainunfilledbythegovernmentalsowillbefilledbythecollegesconcerned.
Fee STRUCTURe The Annual tuition fees now proposed by all the member colleges is Rs. 2,07,000/- (Rupees Two lakhandseventhousandonly)forthefirstyear,Rs1,85,000/-(Rsoneeightyfivethousandonly)fortheSecond year for M.Pharm and the annual tuition fee for Pharm. D (PB) will be as that of PharmD course, ie, Rs 190000/-(Rupees one lakh and ninety thousand only). In case the Fee Regulatory Committee decides on any lower fees, the matter will be taken up before the Honourable High Court and the ultimate fees will be as per the directions of the Honourable High Court. If the fee collected is in excess and any such directions, the same will be refunded or adjusted towards future fees.
Fee for NRI students The fee for NRI student Rs.3,52,000/-(RupeesThreelakhfifftytwothousandonly)forthefirstyear, Rs 3,30,000/- (Rs Three lakh theirty thousand only) for the Second year for M.Pharm for the M.Pharm course and Rs. 3.0 lakhs per annum for Pharm.D (PB) course
Discontinuation of the course and payment of liquidated damages Ifanycandidatediscontinuesthecourseafterclosingofadmissionson14/08/2017asnotifiedbytheKeralaUniversityof Health Sciences, Thrissur or such other date as could be decided by the competent authority including the court of Law, the candidate has to pay liquidated damages to the tune of full fee of the course. Students shall apply for theTCandCertificatesafterclearingallthedues.

course in an institution approved by AICTE and PCI.
Pharm.D. (PB): A candidate who has passed the B.Pharm degree examination of KERALA UNIVERSITY OF HEALTH SCIENCES or an examination equivalent thereto of any other University recognized by the Kerala University of Health Scienceswithnotlessthanatotalof55%MarksforB.PharmDegreeexaminationshallbeeligibleforadmissionto Pharm.D. (PB) course.The candidate should have undergone B.Pharm in an institution approved by AICTE and the PCI. Candidates who have passed their B.Pharm course from Universities outside Kerala will be eligible for admission only if their qualifying examination is recognized by the Kerala University of Health Sciences, on the date of application/allotment.Thecandidateshallfulfilleligibilitybeforelastdateofapplication.
(iii) Nationality Candidates must be citizens of India.
HOW TO APPlY
Application forms
The Application form together with the information brochure can be obtained from any of the member colleges of the association, offering M.Pharm and Pharm.D. (PB) Course, listed in the annexure I, on payment of Rs.1000/- (Rupees One thousand only) for each course, by cash A candidate needs to buy separate application forms for M.Pharm and Pharm.D. (PB) course and the application obtained from college cannot be used to apply to another college. At the same time a candidate can apply to as many colleges as he/she prefers. Submission of Application Form
Filled application form together with all the required documents should reach the concerned college onor before 07-08-2017.
List of self attested copies of following certificate / documents to be submitted with the application.1. 12th/10thcertificateinproofofthedateofbirth(CopyofSSLCorequivalent).2. Mark list of qualifying examination3. GPATScoreCard4. Caste/CommunitycertificateandIncomeCertificatetoproveeligibilityforreservationinthecaseof

SeleCTION PROCeDURe
Preparation of Common merit list and allotment of candidates:

applicants with eligibility as mentioned above.Remainingseatswillbefilledfromamongtheapplicantsfulfillingeligibilitycriteriaonthebasisofmark
obtained in B.Pharm Course (Aggregate of IInd, IIIrd and IVth Year B.Pharm). There is no separate mark for the interview.
Reservation of seats1. Reservation of seats if any will be as mentioned in annexure of respective colleges.2. MinorityInstitutionswillhavethefreedomtofixappropriatereservationtotheircommunity.Details
are available in the respective annexure of the respective colleges.
Fee concession Fee Concession will be given as decided by the individual managements / Institutions.
PUBlICATION OF RANK lIST A common rank list separate for M.Pharm and Pharm.D (PB) of all the candidates eligible for admissionwill be published on the Notice Board of the Concerned institution.M.Pharm: In case of tie, considering the specialization in M.Pharm, applied for, the percentage of marks obtained
inthespecificsubjectofthefinalyearB.Pharmwillbeaddedtothetotalpercentageofmarks(Percentageaggregate of IInd, IIIrd and IVth Year B.Pharm) , so as to calculate the rank. Eg:- If more than one student who have applied for M.Pharm Pharmaceutical Chemistry gets same percentage for B.Pharm, the percentageofmarksforPharmaceuticalChemistryinfinalB.Pharmwillbeaddedtothetotalpercentageof marks to calculate the rank. If a tie still exists, the age of the candidate will be taken into account. The elder will be preferred to the younger.
1. PharmD. 2. Furnishing false information/ particulars would result in the forfeiture of the candidature as well as cancellation of admission to the course and in addition, it will attract the relevant provisions of Criminal law of the land.
3. Seatslyingvacantafterthedatefixedforthecompletionofadmissionwillbetreatedaslapsedseatsandcanbefilledupbytherespectivecollegesfromamongtheapplicationreceivedfromtheeligiblecandidates.
4. Allotment to the individual colleges will be made by the association on the basis of preferential options of the candidate
ADMISSION PROCeDURe1. Originalsofallcertificates/documentsenclosedwiththeapplicationshouldbesubmittedatthetimeof
admission to the respective colleges.
2. The candidates shall pay full fees at the time of admission.
3. TheresponsibilityoftheassociationandtheOfficeoftheControllerofSelectionandAdmissionsarelimitedto the conduct of the selection and admission procedure, publication of the ranks secured by each candidate, preparation of the common merit list and allotment of thecandidate to the respective college.
4. PhysicalFitnessCertificate,EquivalencyCertificate,MigrationCertificate,ConductCertificateandTransferCertificateetcinoriginalshouldbesubmittedatthetimeofadmissiontotherespectivecolleges
REFUND/ ADJUSTMENT OF FEEFeerefundwillbeaspertheagreementwithGovernmentofKeralaifanyorasperPCInorms.
In case of SC/ST candidates, they should remit their fees to the concerned colleges at the time of admission
andthesamewillberefundedincasetheGovt.paysthefeestothecollege.

OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION/ POINTS1. No request for the change of selection processes will be entertained, nor the President will entertain
enquiries with regard to date of Publication of the Rank / Results.
2. IfanycandidatediscontinuesthecourseafterclosingofadmissionsasnotifiedbythePresident,the
candidate has to pay liquidated damages to the tune of full fee of the course.
PROHIBITION OF RAggINg3. Ragging in any form which includes harassment by word, action, gestures, intimidation, coercion, physical
or mental insult/ assault, teasing etc, which are capable of causing mental/Physical stress or moral
torture or agony to other students or staff inside/ outside the premises of the college or the hostel etc
is strictly coming under the word Ragging and is prohibited in all the member colleges. All the member
colleges are committed to abolish ragging in their campuses. Hence any student who indulges in any
form of ragging will be subjected to the penal action as per provisions of law. Students and parents shall
furnishanaffidavitatthetimeadmission,totheeffectthatthestudentshallnotindulgeinanyformof
ragging.
4. Use of Mobile Phone by the students is prohibited in all colleges of the association. Any violation will lead
todisciplinaryactionasdeemedfitwillbetakenbythecollegeauthorities.
5. Every student is required to assure strictly to the code of conduct and discipline of the institution to which he/she is admitted.
6. Theapplicationformshallbefilledafterreading&understandingofthisprospectus.

National College of Pharmacy is managed by KMCT trust under the chairmanship of Dr K Moidu, a leading philanthropist in Malabar region. The college was established in the year 1996 and approved by Pharmacy Council of India and All India Council for Technical Education. The institute is affiliated to the Kerala University for Health Sciences, Thrissur. College offers various courses such as D.Pharm, B Pharm, Pharm D, Pharm D- Post Baccalaureate, 2- Year M Pharm in (Pharmaceutical Analysis-18, Pharmaceutical Chemistry-18, Pharmaceutics-18, and Pharmacy Practice-18). The annual intake of the Institute for B Pharm course is 100 students. College laboratories and classrooms are well equipped with the most modern equipments and teaching aids. Library is equipped with over 5000 books, National and International journal of repute, CD ROMs and computer with internet facilities. The Institution conducts frequent seminars on latest developments in the pharma field for the benefit of students. Students are given hands on training in pharma research to meet the industrial needs. The Drug Information Centre and Patient Counseling Centre attached to the KMCT Medical College Hospital is managed by the National College of Pharmacy. The Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Pharmacy is promoted by Rajiv Gandhi Educational Charitable Society. The Institute is situated at Trikaripur in Kasaragod District. The Society is delivering humanitarian services to people and undertaking various socioeconomic, educational and cultural activities. The novel venture of the society; ‘ The Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Pharmacy’ was started to open new opportunities to the students seeking pharmacy education. The Institute offers an under graduate course in pharmacy, the institution has the envision to crest the capacity, creativity, moral leadership, righteousness and revolutionary drug discovery among the student community.
The College is located at Meeliyat about 1 km towards western side Trikaripur town, Kasaragod District of Kerala in South India. SCOPE OF PHARMACY COURSE
Basically the course offers Graduation and Post graduation in Phar-
maceutical Sciences which is the minimum qualification accepted for a
registered pharmacist in most of the developed countries. This course
teaches students how to prepare and dispense Medicine and make the
students to convey the drug related information to the public. This course
enables graduates to clear doubts about the prescriptions given by the
