WHO WE ARE
Launched in December 2016 by UlomaOgba and Dr. Hauwa Balami, GGAC is anon-profit organization committed toprovide comprehensive support forthe education of girls between theages of 10 and 19 years from low-income families as well as tosystematically develop the schools inthe communities in which it works.
Headquartered in Abuja, GGACcurrently supports 40 girls (10-19years old) in 2 schools in Abuja andMaiduguri.

STEM PROGRAM FOR SCHOOLS

Technology is important for us!
We want to improve girls’ knowledge of and skills
in basic science, technology and engineering of
satellites and renewable energy and in maths.
By providing STEM lessons, demonstrations,
field trips and letting girls meet and shadow
women in STEM careers, we are working to
change pereceptions and raise the interest of the
girls in this area.

CODE-HER-FUTURE PROJECT
• Objective: To address the challenges of youth unemployment and livelihoods of amarginalized group of women
• Strategy: Train a select group of Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) women to becomecertified coders.
• Beneficiaries: 100 young women living in 2 of the 12 IDP camps in the Federal CapitalTerritory, Abuja.
• Impact: Equip the women with the skills to improve their employability; create opportunities to link them directly to potential employers or support them to collaborate amongst themselves and become established entrepreneurs; benefit Nigeria’s economy by cultivating new talents who can work in the technological field.
