Short Description of English for English for Special Purpose (ESP) on Information Technology

The teaching-learning class for this semester implements the ‘Practice, Produce, and Production (PPP)’ instructional sequences which concentrates majority on speaking skill. It is how to improve the ability of the students to comprehend and develop their speaking skill, particularly on how to conduct a presentation related to information technology besides the other three skills in English. There are terms, grammar skill and specified vocabulary that they shall acquire to the goals. The materials consist of how to convey ideas to others, how to describe things and their use, how to describe process of such activity and etc. The exercises significantly look on to role play within group or pair work. The aim is to give chances to students to enable them to implement the knowledge that they have received in terms of fluency development thus they could bring it to the real world.

The Purpose of the StudyAfter taking part in this class which concerns more to English for Specific Purposes (ESP), it is expected that at the end of the teaching-learning sessions the students are able to produce grammatical and correct English in their utterances. The lessons particularly highlight the knowledge and exercises of how to communicate well in English in regard to their major. Significantly, through this class the students are hoped to improve their speaking skill. Learning Materials:01
