KATA PENGANTAR
Membuat dunia sendiri merupakan hal yang menyenangkan. Di dalamnya
kita bisa meletakkan aturan dan logika yang kita inginkan. Oleh karena itu,
penulis tertarik dalam merancang set dan properti dalam stop motion karena
membuat sebuah dunia yang belum pernah ada adalah hal yang menyenangkan
dan dapat memainkan imajinasi lebih dalam.
Perancangan set dan properti menarik untuk dipelajari karena dalam
merancang set dan properti melibatkan banyak pengetahuan baru yang tidak
dipelajari oleh penulis sebelumnya.
Banyak hal yang penulis dapatkan selama mengerjakan tugas akhir ini
seperti bertanggung jawab dalam melakukan sesuatu dan bersabar dalam
menghadapi masalah yang ringan maupun berat. Walaupun menemui masalah,
penulis beserta kelompok tetap menjaga emosi tetap stabil agar tidak terjadi
perpecahan selama mengerjakan Tugas Akhir.

ABSTRAKSI
Pada Tahun 2013, animasi stop motion berhasil mendominasi 3 nominasi Oscar. Animasi stop motion tersebut berjudul Frankenweenie, Paranorman, dan Pirates! Band of Misfits. Dua nominasi lainnya jatuh pada animasi 3d Wreck-it Ralph dan Brave yang menggunakan teknologi modern. Dalam stop motion, unsur cahaya, ruang, dan tekstur yang digunakan adalah nyata, sehingga menciptakan ilusi terhadap audiens. Berdasarkan fenomena tersebut penulis tertarik untuk merancang environment yang akan menjadi set dalam stop motion Runrun. Untuk melakukan perancangan yang baik, penulis akan melakukan riset, mencari referensi, dan melakukan observasi terhadap set dan properti dari stop motion yang terlebih dahulu dirancang.

ABSTRACT
In 2013, stop motion animations dominates and has been success in Oscar nominee. There are Frankenweenie, Paranorman and Pirates: The Band of Misfits. Wreck-it-Ralph and Brave is another movie for Oscar nominee for animation, and they are using modern technology in 3D animation. With using stop motion technique, we could have a real object such as light, spaces and texture, and then would create illusion that audience can see. This act we can called “ Mise en Scene”. From the event that explained above, writer have interest to plan the environment that will be use in stop motion animated movie called “Runrun”. Research, reference, and observations is required to make a great plan toward the program that already made for set and property from Runrun’ movie
