Seeing and talking to people out and about, either in the streets, shops, at work, in church or other places to socialise.

Mainstream Education & Housing

• Segregated education in special schools makes it difficult to be independent.

• Segregated living in intentional communities reduces choice and autonomy.

Living in our own homesWe all agree that living in our own home is important. Like everyone else, we sometimes need help from other people.

Families• We disagreed about how important families are.

• We agree that families do not need to be giving direct support.

• Helping to manage support is important.

• Living in the same local area as your family can help connect you to your community.
