Millennial connection to multitasking: Are podcasts the new flare-ups?A report curated by Spotify suggests young people are opting for more diverse audible content.Millennial life is chaotic and filled with work pressure, stress and deadlines, off course. So, a case study made by Forbes reports that Gen Z and Millennial listen to far less radio than their parents or grandparents did. They listen to podcasts instead. Now, what are podcasts exactly? They are an increasingly popular method for them to stay connected to their world of interests. They help them derive meaning into their everyday mundane lives which give them the bare minimum space to be productiveor have time for themselves. While driving or finishing a run or a walk, youngsters prefer to consume information

to utilise the little amount of time they have to themselves apart from work targets.

Recent studies from LinkedIn show that 42% of those between the ages of 18-34 listen to podcasts at least once a week. And the percentage is even greater for parts of the next generation (12-17 year olds)

*The draw of podcasts for millennials*:

1. Podcasts are easy and efficient: And millennials certainly appreciate that. It takes no more than a phone and earphones to listen to one. Plus, hands-free listening is a fait accompli.

2. They are informative: Gen Z wants to

have it all. They want to know how to's about topics that interest them and podcasts bridge the gap.

3. Getting news on the go has become

Millennial connection to multitasking:Are podcasts the new flare-ups?

10MAY 2022

attractive for millennials: And it's not even JUST the headlines. They want to dive deeper into those events and issues. Podcasts have that in-depth understanding which makes them more consumer-friendly than music.

4. Millennials have an on-demand mentality: Meaning, if they want information about something, it's immediate. Despite having their favorite music artists and live streaming shows, they always reach out to podcasts their co-workers have suggested.

5. Motivation as a bridge: Millennials want to listen to the stories the world has in store for them by sitting at their home.

Apart from the information, it's the struggle and relatability in the content that seems appealing to the generation nowadays.Since more of the "social-media content" is about 'relatability,' podcasts pave the way for looking beyond just that.

Here's how the media is taking this:

Age-old organisations which specialised mainly in long-form content like articles are now understanding the importance of podcasts for millennials and have upped their game.

1. The New York Times now has a podcast team that focuses on news and editorialising.

2. PBS has just launched a new podcast division.

3. The Wall Street Journal actually introduced podcasts at the end of 2015 and continues to expand its offerings.

Listening is something that fits the millennial lifestyle. Whether it?s earbuds while at the gym or downloaded podcast content while driving, the ears can engage. And if millennials can get their news, information, or entertainment while they are otherwise engaged, all the better.

Being a Gen Z teen, I confirm that podcasts are now the new normal, apart from masks and sanitizers. The flare-up which they've gained in the past 2 years is phenomenal and research-worthy. A few background checks on the data from 2020-22 and surveys suggest that music has been opted out of mainstream for a population ranging from 14-37 year olds.

Thank you for reading.

11 YOUR SPIRITUAL REVOLUTION

I was aware of Intimate Alien?s posts for a long time before reaching out to Rachel Archelaus saying I thought her story might liven up the website, and would Intimate Alien like to do an interview? I had no idea how important a move I was making. While I was waiting for an answer, I looked into Intuitive Art, the divinatory technique devised and explicated by Archelaus in a masterfully written self-published book (Sephyrus Press, 2017) and video instructions and online classes. Her systematization of the little-used human faculty of intuition in a few smart steps was amazingly versatile and efficient and gave

demonstrable, easily accessed utility to the same wild energy I?d been juggling for years as spontaneous writing or whatever names I called it by from season to season, metamorphic prose or subconscious fiction or my ectoplasm.

In the late 1940s, Jack Kerouac promoted the spontaneous method of prose composition, ?don?t stop to think of words but only to see the picture better,? which humble approach was further permuted by Bob Dylan?s Tarantula in 1966. This presupposed the cut-up and fold-in experiments of the more scientifically minded William S. Burroughs, inspiring

Spontaneous Mind,Now and Then

12MAY 2022

some of the science fantasies of Robert Anton Wilson, which built further on WSB?s concept of enforced randomization. More recently, the writings of Mark Leyner and the postnormal vignettes of Benjamin Weissman have given example of what comes of taking the subconscious as muse, albeit each with a different degree of contamination or seasoning form its author?s conscious personality. As a footnote, this reporter has lately discovered the ?Handspring? writings of New Directions Press founder James Laughlin, which are another prime example of creative writing reflecting a natural habit of mind. Your reporter calls these kinds of writing humble because they are exercises in surrender, submissions to the muse not crafted, canny inventions or productions of the conscious intellect.

In my own Nature?s Monster are collected writings derived from the unplanned activity of this reporter's own wildest mind. My membership in an online writing group with an emphasis on brevity coupled with a natural inclination to humor on my part combined to enact the new form, to which I?ve given the names, ?metamorphic prose?

and ?subconscious fiction?. A lay knowledge of psychology and the occult coupled with a friendly spirit of inquiry suggests to even the most casual observer that something more is going on here with these unconscious compositions than mere creativity, perhaps a distillation or divining of some kind, since it writes itself.

?All fiction is subconscious ficiton.? Other writers tried chilling me out when I raved about m y discovery.

Sure, but your reporter was more of a vessel for the stuff in that book. He knew exactly what was happening the, but the stuff came

through him, not from him. I?ve been writing spontaneously for more than twenty-five years, and while I?ve developed a deliberate voice alongside, the pieces

collected in Nature?s Monster are most reflective of my essence as a vessel for creativity itself in comparison to my other literary efforts, which, though heartfelt, are limited by their very intentionality. There is a seemingly limitless abundance of inspiration available when I write without thinking, as opposed to crafting and meticulously creating, which is a far slower,

13 YOUR SPIRITUAL REVOLUTION

more deliberate process, fraught with ego and desire.

In a famous interview with Morley Safer, Bob Dylan made the statement that many of his early lyrics were channeled right out of that creative wellspring by means of "a different, penetrating kind of magic" he now felt unable to access. I have felt himself connected to what I presume to be the same motherlode of artful words as long as I?ve been seriously writing, and I believe it will only run out when or if I fall out of alignment. Inspired writings by Kenneth Patchen, Gregory Corso, and Jack Kerouac were my own first models, at the expense of any conventional craft I might otherwise have cultivated at the time. Bukowski and Fante and others came later with form. I can write either way, but the stuff I?m calling subconscious fiction is the raw crude of my creative instinct, sourced from somewhere past my ego.

My recent experience writing the partial biography of lifelong psychic medium and channel of post-corporeal and inter-dimensional beings Rachel Archelaus has given me the opinion that this kind of communication is nothing less than a graduated form of the same willingness enabling spontaneous prose or art or music. In other words, the idea of originality is a limited conscious mind construction, and rather than being authors of anything, we are all vessels designed for recycling from food to feelings to thoughts. And how could it be otherwise, in this universe of

self-replication? This kind of overt distillation from the motherlode is less actively present in some creative fields than others? comedy, for example, seems more an art form of its time, because of the need for mentioning current events? and, wherever it occurs, is certainly tempered by the artist?s approach to creation? but it?s

universal.

The contamination or seasoning by personality of which I speaks: Mark Leyner?s writing was of interest to this spontaneously writer but seemed to lack any occult aspect. It was long on abstraction, but something about the form weakened the jokes on their way to the punchlines, as if taking too long to get there. Benjamin Weissman?s stuff was shorter and faster, which caused me to favor it, despite having long protested the dumbing down of the modern attention span. In a recent review of Weissman?s writing, I described the shorts in dear dead person and Headless as having something in

common with the ?automatic writing?

14MAY 2022

phenomenon in that the writing felt unplanned, seeming more like an automatic function. The same observation is a fair statement of their author?s attitude to the pieces collected in Nature?s Monster, one of highly respectful disassociation from something that may or may not have been derived from the Overmind in some way, for which he takes no conscious responsibility for having wrought.

By using the double-blind of diverting your attention to the goal of a joke and writing quickly instead of with forethought, trick your mind into accessing a part of itself unrequired by conscious thought and possessed of an unusual fecundity of imagery and humor compared to anything written with ego. The human computer is a diamond mine of realizations and solutions belonging to all of us, intaking information constantly, whether we?re paying attention or not, and with the use of subconscious fictionalization? Intuitive or subconscious writing? one can hack into this boundless resource and distill the approximate ideal form of most requirements if we allow it.

Intuition has played a central role in everything I?ve done in life so far. I have literally followed my nose through experience for 49 years, adhering to a self-devised flow, which has often seemed to join a selfless flow or feeling of natural progress toward my ever-changing wants. Taking advantage of intuition means a breakthrough in life management. Removing the ego as middleman. Any danger of falling into the same old personality-based impasses time after time is greatly lessened or removed entirely. Open yourselves to what art would come through you as opposed to making any of the other

proclamations from a settled point of gathered authority, and it never runs out. Writer?s block is obviated through abnegation of control, inspiration flows like music. Crack the safe of your own subconscious mind and hotwire your future by giving up control.

15 YOUR SPIRITUAL REVOLUTION

BEYOND CRITICAL THINKING

According to Wikipedia: ?Critical thinking is the analysis of facts to form a judgment. The subject is complex; several different definitions exist, which generally include the rational, skeptical and unbiased analysis or evaluation of factual evidence. Critical thinking is self-directed, self-disciplined, self-monitored, and self-corrective thinking. It presupposes assent to rigorous standards of excellence and mindful command of their use. It entails effective communication and problem-solving abilities as well as a commitment to overcome native egocentrism and sociocentrism.?

Socrates, a classical Greek (Athenian) philosopher, is considered to be the father of critical thinking. According to Wikipedia: ?The earliest documentation of critical

thinking are the teachings of Socrates recorded by Plato.? Socrates is the inventor of the ?Socratic method,? which is a method used to stimulate critical thinking, still used for scientific research today.

It is generally accepted that humans use only a fraction of their mental potential, somewhere around ten to fifteen percent. Not commonly known is that within the uncharted territory of the mind is a faculty that the ancient Vedic texts identify as ritam bhara pragya. (Vedic texts are the most ancient records of human development and experience.) Ritam bhara pragya is the highest faculty of intellect? that intellect which knows only the truth. A Ritam bhara pragya is spontaneous, automatic knowing, about which operates from that universal

17 YOUR SPIRITUAL REVOLUTION

all-knowing level of the mind. This highly developed form of intuition is a special state. It is a state that is very clear, and in this state, knowledge is only filled with truth.

Everyone is born with the faculty of ritam bhara pragya, but its functioning lies dormant in most people, only to surface once in a while as a sudden flash of insight or as a vision. Usually, it is received as a warning on an as-need-to-know basis; it is an innate survival mechanism. Ultimately, by practicing certain traditional meditation techniques, this celestial realm becomes established as part of one?s normal thinking, and then one gets to know whatever one desires to know. Until then the flashes of ritam bhara pragya come to an individual sporadically and spontaneously without any intent. We have all had this experience to one extent or another. A mother suddenly feels the need to check on her child and in doing so saves it from harm. Or, when interacting with someone, you automatically know of their deception or sinister intent. How often have you read about individuals who had an overwhelming feeling to buy a lottery ticket or to play certain numbers, and who have won as a result. Sometimes the insights come as a dream: that is how the shape and

structure of DNA as a double helix came to James Watson; Dmitri Mendeleev saw the Periodic Table in a dream; and Jack Nicklaus cognized his winning golf swing in a dream. Many very successful businessmen have continual insights that guide them in their decision making; they appear to shoot from the hip, or just be lucky. But, in fact, they are periodically tuning into their latent ritam bhara pragya.

In the absence of ritam bhara pragya, the individual uses

ordinary intellect, reason, analysis,

discrimination and logic to make decisions. When using these usual rudimentary approaches to problem solving, many bits of data are taken into consideration

one after another and

analyzed as to their use and potential

impact. For some complex issues these

methods to solve problems may take weeks, months, years, even decades before producing a solution. Such rudimentary approaches to problem solving are filled with fickleness, emotions, outside influences and confusion; therefore, they result in poor or incomplete decisions, bad consequences and suffering in life.

On the other hand, in the elevated ritam bhara pragya state an automatic knowing takes place. There is no sequential

18MAY 2022

consideration of facts and circumstances. In this highly developed ritam bhara pragya state the individual mind is expanded and in tune with a universal mind, an all-knowing mind. When faced with a problem, or situation, the individual simply draws upon this vast storehouse of knowledge, and spontaneously obtains the solution as an intuitive insight or a vision.

In his book, ?Modern Man in Search of a Soul,? C. G. Jung postulates the existence of an all-knowing cosmic mind. He states: ?It is a fact that the unconscious contains subliminal perceptions whose scope is nothing less than astounding. . . Great and enduring civilizations like those of the Hindus and Chinese built upon this foundation and developed from it a discipline of self-knowledge which they brought to a high pitch of refinement both in philosophy and in practice. . . We are inclined to assume that, in the last resort, all knowledge comes from without. Yet today we know for certain that the unconscious contains contents which would mean an immeasurable increase of knowledge if they

could only be made conscious.

And, Nikola Tesla believed that the universe included a huge reservoir of knowledge that anyone could tap into if they only knew how to properly attune their mind to this knowledge base. He said that all thought impulses came from outside of the brain: ?My brain is only a receiver; in the Universe there is a core from which we obtain knowledge, strength and inspiration. I have

not penetrated into the secrets of this core, but I know that it exists.

There are traditional meditation techniques which have the purpose of unfolding one?s awareness, to markedly improve intuition and eventually access that unused portion of the mind, ritam bhara pragya. Thereby, one can spontaneously know anything. Ritam bhara pragya is not a hypothesis? I can attest to that. I have been practicing a form of mantra yoga for over fifty years. As a result, my awareness has expanded to where I often have experiences of ritam bhara pragya. Here are two examples:

(1) In 1991 I was working for the United States Postal Service as a Budget and Financial Analyst. Every month the finance staff met to share information and to update each other on their respective department?s activities. The meetings concluded with one of the staff members giving a presentation about some financial topic of personal interest. When it was my

turn to give a presentation, I spoke about investing and how the securities business operated. At the conclusion of my speech, I paused briefly. Then I blurted out a bold assertion, ?Mark my words! The new postal facility at Castaic will be destroyed by an earthquake before I ever move there.?

The Postal Service had a new building under construction at an industrial park in the city of Castaic. It was located about twenty-five miles north of their district office in Van Nuys. Upon its completion all operations were to be relocated to this new building. Construction was scheduled for completion

19 YOUR SPIRITUAL REVOLUTION

in two more years, by the end of 1993. The move to Castaic would add considerable mileage and inconvenience to the commute for hundreds of employees.

I reflected upon what I had said. I was just as shocked for having so authoritatively spoken out, as was my audience at hearing my prediction. I did not plan to say that, it just came through me. There were no significant earthquakes in the area for over a decade. So, when I made my confident prediction, it was met with smirks, frowns and ridicule. Some time passed and my prediction was forgotten.

On the morning of April 23, 1992, a 6.1 magnitude earthquake struck in the vicinity of Joshua Tree. Then, on June 28, a 7.3 magnitude earthquake, the largest earthquake to hit California in forty years, and the largest earthquake recorded in the world that year, struck in Landers, about one hundred and ten miles east of Los Angeles. Later that same day, a second earthquake, at a 6.2 magnitude, struck near Big Bear Lake, about twenty miles west of the initial shock. With attention back on earthquakes, I reminded my co-workers of my prediction: ?Mark my words! The new postal facility at Castaic will be destroyed by an earthquake before I ever move there.? Because I cognized the earthquake from the level of ritam bhara pragya I knew without a doubt that my statement about a coming

earthquake would be proven to be correct.

By the end of 1993 all of the administrative employees at the Van Nuys postal facility were relocated to the new Castaic facility; but unexpectedly my department?s relocation was delayed for three months.

The following January 17, 1994, at 4:31 a.m. a powerful 6.7 magnitude earthquake struck in the San Fernando Valley, near the town

of Northridge. A minute later it was followed by a 6.0 aftershock. Damages were wide-spread and extended some fifty miles

around from the epicenter. Key traffic artery links and freeways were severely damaged, cutting off freeway access for hundreds of thousands of commuters. Toward the north, the Highway-14 and Interstate-5 interchange was severely damaged. Fifty miles south, entire sections of

the Santa Monica Freeway collapsed. The cost of the damages was estimated at about thirty billion dollars. The new administrative offices at the Castaic postal facility were destroyed. Office employees who transferred to the Castaic facility had to salvage their belongings from a mess of strewn and disarrayed trashed cubicles, desks, filing cabinets and computer equipment. It took nearly a year and well over one million dollars to make the repairs. The office that I was to occupy had its concrete floor split open by eight inches and

the crack ran through the entire length of the building. My prediction stated two years

years earlier proved to be precisely correct.

(2) I was having lunch with my friend Charlie along with our mutual friend Ranvir (not his real name). Ranvir was on tour in the United States to follow-up on pledges that he had received to finance a Western-style restaurant he planned to open in Rishikesh for tourists who did not care for Indian food. After some small talk, we got down to business. Charlie handed over his check to Ranvir. As I pulled out my check and was about to hand it over to Ranvir, I instantly knew that he was very sick and was going to die. Ranvir was middle-aged and appeared to be in excellent health. Yet, I knew for sure that he was going to die soon. What could I do? I could not warn him about his health; my comments alone could worry him to death.

All I could do is to live up to my commitment and hand over my check. Three months later I learned that Ranvir died of a heart attack. His partner asked if my funds could be donated to charity in Ranvir?s name. I agreed.

Ritam bhara pragya is not just for prognostications. It is truth filled intellect regardless of the topic or the time, be it past, present or future. In reality time does not even exist. There is no past or future? everything just is. We are just moving into it. Time is a mental construct. In the words of Albert Einstein: ?The distinction between the past, present and future is only a stubbornly persistent illusion.

21 YOUR SPIRITUAL REVOLUTION

?Well, open up your mind and see like me??Open up your plans and, damn, you?re free?

?And look into your heart and you?ll find love, love, love, love?

This is how my alarm wakes me up. Poking me with a soothing ?Jason Mraz? melody. ?Today is a big day!? I say this to myself every morning.

Bright sunlight is peeping through the white and celeste blue curtains. These peace lilies swinging next to my bed often help me get rid of the morning blues. These are some of my favorite books that are always kept beneath my floral table lamp. My window is adorned with a little lavender and a lady palm. My morning starts with watering them. Also, the freshly shopped stuff in those fancy shopping bags is placed close to my bed. An additional therapy to get away from the blues.

Plants are like the little beings scattered all around my home. I remember my parents were very fond of gardening. There were 48 kinds of plants in our backyard, and they had taught me their names when I was just a six-year-old girl. Seeing my budding interest, they gifted me three little plants. An anthurium, a succulent, and asparagus. They were totally my responsibility. I used to call them my best buddies and would kiss them good night. Since then, my love for plants has kept growing.

Here is a slice of my life that I would like to share with you all. Do you know what my day looks like? I work for a media house, and my workplace occupies most of my day.

A Sl ice of Li fe-From a Neighbor

22MAY 2022

I take care of my loved ones, including my plants and my pet. I love to look good and make sure to spend enough time in front of the mirror before I step out of my house. I love eating, but mindfully. I am a regular yoga practitioner and jogger, especially after I realized how helpful it could be. In addition to all these, an ardent coffee lover,

a reader, a movie lover, a traveler and a party girl describe a lot about me. Hanging around with my friends has always been my favorite past time.

Like many humans, I too have a cranky boss, a good friend who often acts like my mother, a pretty girl who comes up with a dozen beauty tips every day, a funny boy in my office who has an earmark on a new girl every next time, a food lover who is always up for a party and a coffee house owner who happily welcomes me to his cafe like any other regular customer. I mostly interact with this squad.

No wait! There is one more person.

Mrs. Batliwala, My dear neighbor. Our front doors are face-to-face, so we often have closed our doors on each other?s faces. Our balconies are adjacent, but we do not choose to look at each other. She greeted me with a hateful look almost every time she saw me. The reason? I do not know.

The last hateful look was when she saw my

friends entering my place at 10 pm. I called my friends for a night?s stay. That was the best Friday I?ve had in a very long time. That day, I got promoted. We partied hard the whole night, and I was all set for a super-lazy Saturday. A little after noon, all my friends slowly slauthered out of my apartment. I tried to regain my sanity. I then went to a daily-needs outlet just outside our society. I got milk, wheat bread, jam, a couple of cream buns, mango juice, cheese slices and a few eggs. My drooping eyes,

highly hangovered hair and a thoroughly wrinkled night suit, adding to my sluggishness, were telling the story of the party we had last night. As I was entering the building, my dear neighbor was watching me from her balcony. Another hateful look.

?Never mind!? I whispered to myself.

I jumped onto my cosy couch with my nouvelle cuisine. A triple decker bread omelette sandwich graced and garnished with melting cheese slices from all sides, a cream bun and a whipped cream coffee with a failed meringue look but good taste. Oh! My grand nosh-up. A good holiday brunch should be accompanied by a Damien Chazelle movie. So, ?Whiplash?. I was watching this masterpiece for the second time. Equally entertained, involved, moved and inspired when I watched it for the first

23 YOUR SPIRITUAL REVOLUTION

time.

I was thoroughly socked with emotions when the movie ended and effortlessly slipped into a deep sleep. I woke up to the amusing sound of a hawker. It was a quarter to 5. I sat straight onto the couch. I looked around my messy yet beautiful living room. The sound of birds, a soothing breeze from the balcony, an approaching sunset and the most comforting thought was that the next day too was a holiday.

I stood straight. After a few rounds of yawning and stretching, I walked towards the balcony. It was a happy evening. I had a sudden urge to join the children playing on the ground. The slides and swings were full. A dozen of them were waiting for their turns, while some encircled the hawker for a candy-floss.

Serendipity! I whispered to myself and softly touched the lilies that were smiling on my balcony. I stood for a while, enjoying the sunset and caressing my plants. I thought of

Fotsy. My beautiful cat, who often keeps

shuttling between my place and my friend?s place, whichever of us is available, as we cannot travel with her. Often, my bestie insists on keeping her on weekends. Fotsy easily gets along with her family.

I was thinking of her paws in my hands, her furry embrace, her cute little ears, and then, I heard something. Something painful. I tried to hear more clearly. It was coming from the adjacent balcony. From Batliwala?s. I went over to look into her side and saw her seating on a cane sofa.

She was there, covering her whole face with her palms and sobbing uncontrollably. I

kept looking at her. Not because I pitied her or I wanted to console her, but I saw myself in her. I could relate to the way she was feeling. There was a time when I cried so hard that I had to stop crying to breathe well. I was looking at her, lost in my own thoughts. Suddenly, she looked up and saw me. Her eyes were drained of tears. She simply took her glasses and went inside her house.

I turned and entered my living room. That same living room felt so dull. It felt different. Why so? I wondered. Just a minute ago, it was full of tranquility. Have I lost it somewhere on the balcony? I turned and went back to my balcony.

The sun is yet to set, the children are still playing around, and my lilies are still smiling. A few minutes ago, this was a beautiful evening.

?No! It is still a beautiful evening.? I said to myself.

I stood at that same place and watched around. Everything was the same. Then how can I allow myself to go there again, to the place in my mind where I hate being? I will not allow myself to feel that again. I kept gazing at the setting sun and said, ?No, I cannot let myself get engulfed in the darkness again. I chose me.?

I waited for the beautiful sunset and watched the sky change its colors. The birds chirped as they were returning to their nests.

I cleaned up my living room. Placed everything in its proper place, I sat down at my dining table with a piece of paper to write a letter.

24MAY 2022

Yes! A letter to my dear neighbor, who hates to see me.

However, I chose to write to her because of the love I have for myself.

Dear Mrs. Batliwala,

I saw you crying in the balcony. I use to cry that way, two years ago, when I had the most difficult time of my life. I am a divorcee and have been living alone for the last two years. Maybe that is the reason you do not like to see me around. I work hard and I enjoy life with my friends. Either you like me or you do not like me. I honestly do not care. But at any point of time if you are in need of anything, you can bang on my door??. Anytime!

Your Neighbor

I slipped the letter from beneath her door and took a deep breath of relief, hoping she would be fine.

I often wonder what saved me from those challenging and deadly times. When people used to look at me with pity in their eyes, when I had no one around from my family. What held me strong?

Two Years Ago

My life was only about anger, disgust, resentment and frustration. Thinking of those times still brings chills to me. The

sleepless nights, the unanswered phone calls, the regrets and those fights. I kept revisiting the past to figure out when, how, and what went wrong.

I didn?t step out of my room for four days, and then on the fifth day, when I peeked into the balcony, my plants were drooping. I took the watering can and ran towards them.

I watered them carefully, silently apologising for the last few days. There was a flock of pigeons waiting for the grains. I used to feed them twice a day. I zooped to get the grains for them. How can I forget them? Those hungry pigeons reminded me of my responsibility towards them.

Whatever it is I am going through, I am still the same to them. I threw my fist of grains and they were just all around me. Eating their favorite food after four long days. Suddenly, I felt hungry. I ordered my favorite food and went on to continue with the series I was watching. Returning to normal was not as difficult as I thought it would be. Thanks to those drying plants and the waiting pigeons.

They kept me busy, or perhaps I tried not to sit idol because those thoughts kept coming to me. I tried to get in touch with new people who were unaware of my past to escape that pitiful gaze. I started learning new things. I started making new mistakes. I realised when it is impossible to ignore something; we must accept it. To move on.

Since that day, I have placed those tiny, pretty plants everywhere in my home.

I got a pet. I named her Fotsy. She was not very comfortable with me initially. I tried to hold her in my arms. She looked afraid. Her

25 YOUR SPIRITUAL REVOLUTION

face would always be turned away, as if she hated to look at me in the eyes. I tried to hold her tight to express my love. She suddenly pulled her forelimbs away and jumped out of my embrace. Oh poor! I scared her completely. She ran towards the balcony and stood staring at the sparrows. I watched from the living room. My next task was to search for the videos on YouTube, ?How to befriend your new pet slash new cat.?

It took me six sincere days to make her feel comfortable and happy in my house, and then one day she fell asleep in my arms. From that day, we were not friends but a family.

Back to the moment

Is it easy to get back to a normal life after being shattered?

No.

Is it that difficult to choose a normal life after being completely shattered?

Also, No.

I can surely say this, especially when peace lilies, asparagus, rosemary and Fotsy are around.

We go through a lot in life. The towering highs and the deepest lows. Still, there is always a set of things that feed our souls. Our constants.

Later, I came to know that they call it holistic living. As they say, ?Choose holistic living?. For me,

it was not a choice. It was a need. I call it self-mothering.

I am excited for the future to see what my life has in store for me, including the possibility of another relationship. I will deal with things coming my way. My constants are in place and I do not depend on anyone for that. They are with me. They were with me when I had everything. They were there when I had nothing.

Are you guys wondering if Mrs. Batliwala replied? Well, not yet. Honestly, I do not care for the reply, but I will surely slide another letter if I find her disturbed ever again.

Take life as it comesI looked at the red sun,Hiding behind the closet of trees,Its warmth was ever affirming,For the promise of tomorrow.

The gist of life,Can be encompassedSomething in as simple as the setting sun.

Every day comes,With its own pack of energy,And yet the day has to end,In its own time and nature.

We worry a lot about our lives,How will we earn? What will we do?What's the purpose, meaning?

And yet at the end,All we realize is that,There's no fixed goal,Life doesn't stop,A day starts, and it ends.

Let us start to cherish,As and when things come to us.Over-planning and overthinking,May kill the surprise.Breathe mindfully,And take on the challenge,When it comes!

You don't need to lose people to understand their price.

You don't need to have a partner to know the meaning of love.

You just need to spend some time with yourself

To reflect on the wisdom within

To see the respect for others hidden in the walls of your heart

And, to touch the bubbles of love dancing in your gut.
