LISTENING SKILL LISTENING FOR KEY WORDS AND PHRASES

Key words and phrases tell you the important information about a topic. Speakers always

speak key words and phrases more tan once. Listening for Key words and phrases can

help you identify the topic of a conversation.

Remember the example from the listening 1 about Ben , Saud and Braxton Book Stores.

The topic of the conversation is “LOOKING FOR A SUMMER JOB”. The key words and

phrases are “ WORK THERE THIS SUMMER, JOB,AND CAREERS”. The speakers say
