A different type of school, a different type of career.
You’ll need the instincts of an entrepreneur. You’ll need to learn through real experience. You’ll need more than the status quo.
Because your time is irreplaceable. And your ideas can change everything.
This is why we exist. This is why we are different.

so you can work across cultures

so you can confidently lead others
At Hult, you’ll learn about the world
Cultural differences matter more than ever, so at Hult you’ll be immersed in diversity from day one.
Global businesses are run by local people Globalization is a fact of business life. Markets are more interconnected than ever before, companies are becoming multinational quicker, and global trade is taking a bigger and bigger percentage of global GDP.
However, business practices remain resolutely local. Attitudes to things like time keeping, communication style, and consensus building are deeply rooted in the local culture. Failure to navigate these fundamental differences is a major reason for not succeeding in international business. As a result, employers are increasingly looking to hire people with the ability to operate in a culturally diverse environment.
Learn to work across cultures The classroom diversity at Hult is unparalleled. Over the course of their degree, the average Hult student will work directly with teammates of over 30 different nationalities. Exposure to this broad range of cultures ensures that you graduate with a true appreciation of cultural differences and a deep understanding of how to navigate these effectively and sensitively in a working environment.
You can also choose to take advantage of Hult’s global campus network to gain on-the-ground experience of international business around the world. Our unique Global Campus Rotation enables you to study at any or all of our six campuses, whether in Boston, London, or San Francisco for the full academic year, or Dubai, Shanghai, or Ashridge for Summer Programs. Almost half of all students take advantage of the opportunity to study at more than one campus and experience different cultures.
Graduate with a global mindset Whichever route you choose through Hult, you are guaranteed to learn what makes other cultures tick, have an international perspective on business, and graduate with friends and connections all over the world—an incredibly valuable asset in your international career. Being immersed in the diversity at Hult will change the way you see the world forever.

Change is happening faster than ever, so at Hult you’ll learn about the technologies driving this disruption.
Traditional businesses cannot keep up We live in an age of upheaval. New technologies are changing the world as we know it, faster than ever before. As a result, the average life span of major companies is reducing dramatically. And the opportunity to create new enterprises is increasing substantially.
Traditional businesses are struggling because, unlike historic innovations that developed linearly over time, these new technologies are growing at unprecedented speed. Even the most experienced executives have been caught off guard by the impact these disruptive technologies have had on whole industries in such a short space of time. And the rate of change is only getting faster.
Learn to see the opportunity, and the risk At Hult, we believe it is important that you have an understanding of these emerging technologies and their potential impact. Technologies like artificial intelligence, blockchain, virtual reality, autonomous vehicles, 3D printing, and gene editing.
Each of these technologies has the power to change the world, for both better and worse. Autonomous vehicles will radically reduce the number of road deaths, but may cause mass unemployment. Gene editing has the potential to eliminate terrible diseases, but raises serious ethical questions around our right to manipulate the building blocks of life.
Graduate with a future mindset At Hult, you will learn the basics of these disruptive technologies, hear from industry experts leading their development, and discuss the likely implications of their adoption. You will also identify potential opportunities they could create for your own entrepreneurial ambitions, for companies of all sizes, and for the world’s most disadvantaged communities.
At Hult, you’ll learn about the future

At Hult, you’ll learn about yourself
We all have strengths and weaknesses, so at Hult you’ll learn how you can improve on both.
You can improve anything with practice The fact is, we all have things we’re good at and things we struggle with. Many of these attributes are determined by our genes and our upbringing. But at Hult, we believe that rather than just accepting these are impossible to change, it’s important to realize that we can build on our strengths and overcome our weaknesses. Because, as with any skill, we can improve with practice.
Skills such as being able to communicate clearly, being able to work in teams, influence others, and simplify complex problems are as important to success in business as having knowledge of the fundamental disciplines, such as finance, marketing, and operations. At Hult, you’ll work on both types of skills.
Learn to lead We’ve taken advanced practices from leadership development courses and built them into all our degree programs. It’s this approach that earned us the 2014 AMBA Innovation Award.
During the early part of your program, you’ll examine your personal attributes and what your strengths and weaknesses are on a number of leadership dimensions. Then, throughout the rest of the program, you’ll be given the opportunity to focus on a selection of key skills that you’ll improve through practice as well as faculty guidance and peer-to-peer feedback.
Graduate with a growth mindset No matter what your starting point on each of these key leadership skills, you can improve through constant practice and feedback. This proven technique means that you’ll not only be more self-aware and able to make better decisions, you’ll also be able to see your behaviors changing and feel your effectiveness in groups and organizations increasing.

The first triple-accredited U.S. business school
Hult is recognized by business education’s three most prestigious international accrediting bodies: AACSB, AMBA, and EQUIS. We are the first and only business school in the U.S. to achieve this “triple crown” status, which is held by just one percent of business schools worldwide.
The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) is the world’s largest business education alliance and is internationally recognized as a hallmark of quality reserved for the world’s best business schools.
EQUIS is a global accreditation scheme granted and run by the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD), whose mission is to raise the standard of management education worldwide.
The Association of MBAs (AMBA) is the international impartial authority that represents the highest standard of achievement in postgraduate business education and is earned only by the best programs globally.

THE HULT STUDENTTHE HULT STUDENT
“To go far with your career you must have a good understanding of other people and their cultures. No matter how strong the cultural differences may be, in diverse teams you can learn new ways of doing things and achieve better results together.”
Degree: Bachelor of Business Administration, Major in Marketing
Languages spoken: Russian and English
Why Hult? One of the reasons why I decided to study business at Hult was the fact that the curriculum includes all areas of knowledge. Even though I’m doing a Major in Marketing, I’ve gained knowledge and expertise in areas such as finance, entrepreneurship, management, and many other disciplines—even history!
Why London? London is an international business hotspot—everything is here. There are so many things happening here like networking events and conferences, and lots of global companies offering great graduate opportunities. In this city, every door is an open door for business students.
Clubs and societies: Since my first year, I’ve been an active member of the Hult Model United Nations club. This club has helped me take my public speaking skills to a new level. I’ve attended conferences across London, Cambridge, and Oxford. This has not only expanded my network but has also shown me new ways of negotiating for the greater good of society.
Career preparation: Throughout my three years at Hult, I’ve learned so many skills and tips from the Careers team. My Career Advisor taught me how to build a strong resume and has supported me to develop an all-star professional profile.
Future aspirations: I would love to work within an NGO or as part of a team that leads the corporate social responsibility practices of a global firm.
To me, Hult is... More than an institution where I earned my bachelors degree. It is a family away from home.
Vera EliseevaRussianClass of 2018London campus
Degree: Bachelor of Business Administration, Major in Entrepreneurship

The Hult difference: The practical experience and international environment at Hult is something I’ve never experienced before. For our Hult Business Challenge, our client is McLaren’s F1 division and we’re working to reinvent their sponsorship model. I have learned so much about different people and cultures and how the interaction of the two can impact team performance.
Personal development: I eventually want to start my own business and at Hult, I’ve learned how to turn my ideas into reality. Since joining the school I’ve been actively involved with the Hult Founders Lab, an in-house startup accelerator. I’ve tested two business models and learned so much in the process.
Rotation to Boston: I was able to rotate to the Boston campus and take new classes—like The Arts in Boston—that further opened my understanding of the world. My favorite city experiences included visiting the Boston Public Library (great place to study), my morning runs by the Charles River, and playing soccer with locals in Boston Common.
Best Hult memory: We recently took a trip to visit the hometown of our Norwegian classmates. To make our American friend feel at home, we cooked them a traditional Thanksgiving dinner. It was one of those classic Hult moments when strangers from continents apart can become friends.
To me, Hult is... I’ve always considered myself to be somewhat of an outsider. People often tell me I am very soft spoken and I should be more outgoing. It is scary to step out of the comfort zone and embrace the unknown. In 2015, I traveled to the other side of the planet and started my bachelors at Hult San Francisco. At Hult, I met people I could relate to and suddenly it was okay to be different.

Why Hult? During my search in finding the right school, I fell in love with the Hult campus as soon as I stepped on it. I knew I wanted to study in San Francisco and the route to campus offers the most breathtaking view across the bridge. The school has a smaller professor-student ratio, which is something I value a lot. You get to really know your professors and have more support in achieving your goals. The ability to rotate campuses within the same institution was also a huge factor; I can’t think of a better way to grow and learn than through studying abroad. In the end, Hult was the only school I applied to.
Clubs and societies: I’m part of three clubs. The Business in Fashion Club, where I get to build my network and experience in a sector I’m very passionate about. The African Legacy Club, to proudly represent and share the beauty of Botswana. Finally, I’m President of PRISM—the first LGBTQ+Allies & Friends Club in Hult undergraduate history. I created this club because I felt it was necessary to break barriers and unite people.
Life on campus: There’s not one way to describe it, but overall everyone is friendly, forever smiling, and there’s a strong culture of embracing differences. Classes are very interactive and the diversity of the student body creates a collaborative and open environment. There is no such thing as a stupid question.
To me, Hult is... A melting pot of cultures and people driven to make a difference and feed their interests. Hult is a place where I have gained a new sense of independence, self-awareness, and freedom.

The Hult difference: I was a Sociology student at Colgate University and transferred to Hult to build an international future for myself. I love that Hult professors actually run their own businesses and the fact that our student body represents over 100 nationalities. No other business school provides a platform to learn from such a multitude of perspectives and a chance to form real, global connections.
Why San Francisco? San Francisco is the city where innovation, imagination, and dreams become reality. It is a city at the heart of a growing technological community that is constantly changing the world as we know it. There’s plenty for students to do, from museums and sporting events to touring Alcatraz, Napa Valley, and more.
Clubs and societies: I’m a member of Hult’s Business in Fashion Club. Being involved means that you get to be an intern at the San Francisco Fashion Week and help run the events. Anything you’re interested in pursuing, you can either find a club or create your own. There are no limitations to
what you can do or where you can go while at Hult.
Career preparation: My Career Advisors have been my go-to mentors. They’ve checked over my resume and sample essays multiple times and prepared me for interviews, and they help us connect with major corporations like Cisco.
Personal development: I have grown immensely as an individual. Even my parents have noticed. I’ve strengthened my communication skills and become much more confident in having business discussions with my father, who runs his own firm.
To me, Hult is... A bridge between international cultures and communities.

Why Hult? Hult is a truly global school and for me, a global school is shown not only by the diversity of its students. At Hult, it’s also the international background of our professors, practical classes, and chance to rotate to another campus. You learn and experience firsthand what is happening in the world.
Life on campus: There’s a great atmosphere on campus. Students have good relationships with faculty and staff—it’s very easy to connect with anyone at Hult. We’re all part of the global generation and very passionate about working toward a better future.
Clubs and societies: It’s my second year as Head of Sports in the Hult Student Association. I’m also part of the Hult Tennis Club (Founder) and Hult Football Club (President). I have learned a lot about leadership, working with different cultures, and communication, and have been able to share my love for sports. I would definitely encourage every student to be part of or create their own club.
Most memorable experience: I rotated to Dubai and was able to see firsthand how business is done on the other side of the world. As part of my Luxury Marketing course, I attended the World Arab Luxury Conference, connected with industry leaders in the region, and worked with a global brand to enter the Middle Eastern market.
To me, Hult is... Global, unique, diverse.

Why San Francisco?: The San Francisco campus is close to Silicon Valley and near the city’s big financial area. It’s a good place for young people, and I enjoy living in a city with a good business atmosphere.
Life on campus: I think that although we have different cultural backgrounds, Hult students always seem to have a lot of things in common. We enjoy sharing ideas and learning new things from each other. We all value international connections and I myself have made many friends from around the world.
Personal development: Before I came to Hult, I was very shy and really afraid of public speaking. During the program, I’ve had many assignments where I’ve had to step out of my comfort zone and speak in front of a large audience. Today, I have much more confidence when speaking, both in a team presentation or an individual pitch.
The Hult difference: At Hult, it’s like we’ve already put ourselves in the business world. We’re solving real problems. Hult is different because it focuses on every single aspect of what you need to succeed in business, from your interpersonal and communication skills to your knowledge of new technologies.
To me, Hult is... A very important step in my life. It’s a unique place to learn about business, people, and yourself.

Why do you teach at Hult?
I love the entrepreneurial spirit here on campus. It empowers my students to take what they’ve learned in class and immediately act on it. It’s such an inspiring environment to be in. How does your experience impact your classroom?
During my career I have taken on a range of roles, from within the U.S. Department of State and the National Security Council, at The White House, but my core skills and knowledge that I bring to the classroom are concentrated in strategic influence, tri-sector engagement, and tackling emerging risks. What are the benefits of studying your subjects?
My aim and passion is to bring the real world into the classroom. Regardless of your major, everyone needs to understand how to work effectively across genders, sectors, and cultures. My career has taken me to teams and projects in the Middle East, Africa, Asia, and Latin America—so believe me, knowing corporate diplomacy is important. What is one piece of advice you’d give to the next generation of business leaders?
Find something you are passionate about, and then pursue it fearlessly. Ultimately, work is the mortgage you take out on your life, so make it count.

The Financier
The Sports Specialist
“Almost everyone takes the easy path and tries to do the same thing. If you have a passion, you have an advantage. Capitalize on that.”
“I discovered a passion for an industry I knew very little about before I came to Hult, and secured a sponsored role at Barclays in London.”
Have you always known what you wanted to do?
Before Hult, I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do. Hult helped introduce me to an industry that is practically non-existent in my home country.
How did you break into the finance industry?
Through the classes I took, joining the Finance Society, and the careers events and coaching at Hult, I got to learn more about working in the finance industry. Through my electives I developed a vast knowledge in terminology and asset management practices. This helped me reach the final round of interviews for a major asset management firm—third out of 1,200 applicants. I’ve since accepted a role at Barclays, who have sponsored my U.K. work visa.
What is your advice to future students?
My advice for new students is not to worry about what you want to do just yet. Just worry about who will be teaching you and where you will learn.
Why did you decide to study business?
After completing high school and suffering several injuries, I gave up my dreams of competitive skiing. I decided to study business to keep my options open.
When did you launch your own ski wear brand?
It was about two years into my degree. When I arrived at Hult San Francisco, I met Professor Hap Klopp—the founder of The North Face. I was sure the sportswear mogul would be far too busy to help with my new business venture but Hap was an amazing professor and mentor. He has been the godfather of the business and introduced me to his partners and designers, who have helped with our latest collection.
How has your passion for sports influenced your career choices?
After graduating from Hult, I landed a one-year internship with GoPro in Munich. Now I work at Real Madrid C.F. as a video specialist. The mindset I learned at Hult has helped me build a career based on my passions.

The Tech Specialist
“Starting the job search early and going out and networking led to my ideal role at Apple in San Francisco.”
“My cutting-edge knowledge of the latest technological innovations in my industry was what landed me my job at KPMG.”
Did you have a specific career goal before you came to Hult?
Yes: to work in the tech industry and to stay in San Francisco.
How did you make it a reality?
I worked with the Career Development team from my first year, which included finding an internship in the tech industry.
What role did the Hult network play in landing your dream job?
My story proves that the network you build while you’re at Hult is likely to be crucial to the success you’ll have afterward. If speakers at Hult had not directed me to some great meetups, I would not have been able to connect with the person who ultimately sent my resume to a recruiter, which eventually landed me a job at Apple. So, to give yourself the greatest chance of success, start early and get networking.
What did you want to achieve with your degree from Hult?
My goal was to start an auditing career at one of the biggest and most international firms.
Was there anything special about your Hult degree that made you stand out?
The professors have taught me many skills that are not only useful for my employment, but also for leading my everyday life. The insight I have gained from my professors regarding the newest auditing regulations and fintech used by large corporations, as well as how those companies are trying to keep up with and incorporate the latest technology, I believe, was one of the main reasons I was offered a position in KPMG, even before I graduated.
What’s your number one tip for future students?
Be open-minded and willing to be challenged, but always have a goal in mind, and of course be ready to spend your next few years among amazing and talented individuals.
