Dear All,

Greetings from SARATH’I, We are glad to share our newsletter for the year 2015 – 2016 with you all. This year we had done the satisfactory work with help of so many friends, volunteers, organizations, supporters, & Wellwishers. Our volunteers are our strength. With the support of our volunteers & experts team we had conducted sessions to youths in schools, Colleges, as well as in slum areas & community peoples in Solapur, Pune, Kolhapur and Latur, & Nanded district (Maharashtra). We had also done special activities i.e. donated clothes, Tilgul program and Diwali Faral distribution to Leprosy & homeless peoples. We hope that this valuable relationship continues with us so that we can serve youth of India efficiently and effectively.

About Us

SARATH’I Youth Development Organization (SYDO) is a registered organization under the Societies Registration Act & BPT Act on 26th Feb 2010, with the aim to work for & with the young people, to support them to grow as an Independent, responsible and productive human beings. SYDO is working on volunteer base.

News from the Prerna project

In the year 2015 - 16 SARATH’I team of Prerna Project, conducted 01 TOT workshop & 40 Sessions in that 20 school sessions, 6 college sessions, 9 Community sessions, 5 Anganwadi adolescent’s group sessions in Solapur & Nanded district on Teenage Body changes, body development, HIV/AIDS & Sexually transmitted diseases (STD) for creating the awareness among the youth, women, & adolescent girls. Prerna projects team created awareness in 2781+ youths & community peoples.

News from Sarathi De-addiction Helpline: 72 76 677 277 We provide telephonic counseling through this helpline to addicted peoples. We have taken 28 calls regarding tobacco, Guthka, & Alcohol addictions. Objectives of the Project:

Increase De-addiction awareness

Decrease of new adductors cases

To provide references & linkages

Why Helpline:

Telephonic easily available affordable media, if any person feels uncomfortable, feel unsecured to talk in face to face, that time telephonic counseling is best media.

माझ्यामध्ये सुरुवातीला अजिबात स्टेि डअेर िंग नव्हते त्यावेळी मी सा थीमध्ये स्वयिंसेवक म्हणुन रुिू झाले. सा थीच्या काययक्रमात सहभागी झाल्यानिंत हेल्पलाईन सेवा कशी असत ेहे पाहायला ममळाले, ववववध काययक्रमात सहभागी होण्यास सुरुवात केली. भीती वाटायची पुढे िाऊन बोलण्यासाठी पण सतत सिंधी ममळाल्यामुळे हळूहळू ती भीती कमी होत गेली. एखादा काययक्रम घ्यावयाचा असेल त ननयोिन कसे क ायचे, समो च्या व्यक्तीसोबत कायायलयीन स्त ाव कसे बोलायचे, नोंदी कशी ठेवावी, सामाजिक कायायसाठी प वानगी कशी ममळवायची, स्टेि डअेर िंग, सिंभाषण कौशल्य, अहवाल लेखन, काययक्रम ननयोिन, Zero बिेट काययक्रम, वेळेच े ननयोिन, पे्रसनोट तया क णे व वतृ्तपत्र कायायलयास पोहचवणे, िनिागतृी काययक्रम घेणे, असे ववववध अनुभव सा थीमुळे ममळाले.

एक वेळ अशी होती कक मी कोणा एका व्यक्तीसमो स्वत:च े मत मािंडू शकत नव्हत े पण आि मी सा थीमुळे ककशो वयीन मलुीिंच्या गटासाठी मागयदशयन काययक्रम स्वतः घेत.े चुकेन पण मशकेन हह भावना सा थीमुळे माझ्यामध्ये ननमायण झाली. धन्यवाद सा थी…!!

हदव्यािंची माळ तया होते, त्याप्रमाणेच माणसाला माणुस िोडत गेल कक

माणुसकीच ेएक सिंद िग तया होत !!

व ील ओलीिंची प्रचीती मला सा थी सिंस्थेमध्ये आल्यापासून आली. आिच्या धकाधकीच्या िीवनात शक्यतो कुणाकड ेइत ािंसाठी वेळ नसतो एकाद्याच ेद:ुख िाणुन घेऊन त ेद ु क णे हे त द ूची गोष्ट. मी एक माणुस म्हणुन माझ हह समािाप्रती देण लागत, याची िाण ठेऊन समािकायय क णा ी सा थी हे त्यामधील एक उदाह ण. नावाप्रमाणेच समािातील ककत्येक युवा ववकास घटकािंच े सा थ्य क ीत आहे असे म्हटले त ी वावगे ठ णा नाही.

माझ्या मनाला भाऊन गेलेली घटना म्हणिे सोलापु कुष्ठ ोग वसाहतीतील तीळ गुळ वाटप काययक्रम सा थी प्रनतननधीबाबत तथेील हहवास्यािंच्या मनात आद ाच ेस्थान पाहून सा थी ववषयी अमभमान वाटला. यानिंत मीही सा थी स्वयिंसेवक म्हणून रुिू झाले.

सा थीच े प्रत्येक काययक्रम उल्लेखनीय व कौतुकास्पद असतात मग त े सामािातील युवक-युवती साठी असो कक स्वयिंसेवकासाठी असो. एच आय व्ही / एड्स, गुप्त ोग, व्यसनमुक्ती, व्यजक्तमत्त्व ववकास सा खे मागयदशयन काययक्रम व मशबब े यामाध्यमातून गोंधळलेले/ घाब लेले अशा युवक-युवतीिंना योग्य हदशा देण्याच े काम सा थी क ते. सा थीच्या सामाजिक कायायच्या यशामध्ये आपला हह खा ीचा वाटा आहे याचा अमभमान आहे.

सा थीमुळेच. योग्य वेळेला योग्य मागय सा थीने मला दाखवला ज्यामुळे आि मी स्वावलिंबी बनू शकले आहे. सा थीमध्ये मला चािंगले मागयदशयक म्हणण्यापेक्षा चािंगले गुरु ममळाले असे म्हणण्यास आद वाटतो.

समाजकायय विद्यार्थयनी ते स्ियांसेिक सारथीसोितचा प्रिास:

हटळक महा ाष्र ववद्यापीठमधुन पहहल्या वषायसाठी क्षेत्रकायय अभ्यासासाठी मी सा थीमध्ये आले. सा थीचा एक क्षेत्रकायायचा भाग म्हणुन अभ्यासताना सा थीच ेयुवकािंमधील काम समिले. सा थीमधील प्रनतननधी ामचिंद्र वाघमा े स ासोबत बोलताना कोणतीही गोष्ट अवघड नसत ेअस समिले. माझ्यामधील कौशल्य पाहून वेगवेगळी सिंधी सा थीमधुन सतत ममळत गेली ज्यामुळे माझ्यामधील आत्मववश्वास आणखीन वाढतच गेला.

सूत्रसिंचालन कसे क ावयाच,े ककशो वयीन मुलीिंमध्ये वयात येताना होणा े बदल, पे्रम आकषयण, एचआयव्ही/एड्स सा खे ववषय सहि मािंडू लागले. आि तागायत कधीही कोणत्याही काययक्रमामध्ये सहभाग न नोद्वाणा ी मी सा थीमुळे कोल्हापू जिल््यामध्ये िाऊन एचआयव्ही/एड्स सा ख्या ववषयाव पथनाट्य साद केले.

माझ्यामध्ये हा अमुलाग्र बदल घडववन्यामध्ये सा थीचा आणण ामचिंद्र वाघमा े स ािंचा खुप मोठा वाटा आहे.
