Objective was to grow the game of basketball on aglobal basis by driving greater engagement by fansand maximising use of historical data.

SAP HANA powers the web site that generates 250statistics per second, with up to 20k concurrentqueries, spread across 65 years of data, 215countries, and 380 million fans. Statistics for anygame are available for querying 5 minutes after theend of that game.
