STATOR WINDING
• IT INDUCES EMF AND SUPPLIES LOAD PLACED IN SLOTS OF STATOR CORE • TWO LAYER LAP WINDING.
• IT IS MADE UP OF NUMBER OF STRIPS, INSTEAD SINGLE SOLID PIECE TO REDUCE SKIN EFFECT.
• MATERAIAL USED IS COPPER.
COOLING
• De-ionized water with in the stator coil is used for cooling the stator
• The exciter is air cooled. The cooling air is circulated in a closed circuit and re-cooled in two cooling sections arranged along side the exciter
