IBEA lawnmowers can be grouped together in

Series, each series identified by the width of cut. There is a Series to meet all needs: from the smallest 350 Series with a 35cm width of cut, to the 530 Series, offering a 53cm cut.

Series 350 and 420 lawnmower decks are made of ABS. This material makes the chassis very rigid and firm, with a proven advantage in quality of cut. Fur-ther, ABS considerably reduces noise levels. These lawnmowers are also very strong, with their 4 mm thick blade. On 420 machines wheels are mounted on ball bearings for maximum smoothness.

Lawnmowers of series 430 and 470 are in aluminium, and the advantages are clear: reduced weight, great strength, no rust. Height of cut adjustment is centralised and continuous, for great precision. The grass bag collector is made of a double thread, more robust material, for safer operating condi-tions, and it reduces dust emission when cutting in dry conditions.

Series 530 offer a great price/quality ratio. These are units with an extraordi-nary grass collection capacity, reliable and robust. Wheels are equipped with ball bearings, the deck is in aluminium, strong, lightweight, rust-free and very rigid. Quality of cut is superior. A mulching dedicated and a side dis-charge model are also available in this range; the latter very useful when cutting in rough conditions.

ProLite series was designed for landscapers and garden professionals. The aluminium deck is reinforced by a steel ring for protection against stones that may occasionally be hit by the blade. Wheels are made in aluminium and equipped with professional ball bearings for maximum reliability. The transmission has three gears and is designed for professional use. This unit is equipped with a Pro Line OHV Honda engine.

Cut grass is conveyed in a vortex of air via the extra large discharge tunnel to the grass-collecting bag.

Grass is cut and retained within the deck in a vortexof air created by the special blade. It’s then cut and re-cut into tiny fragments and distribuited on to the

ground as natural fertiliser.

The very heart of any lawnmower is the blade and Ibea’s design engineers have developed a special winged blade that optimises performance in both “cut and collect” and “mulching” modes. For the operator this means that at every cut it is a simple quick decision whether to ‘mulch’ or ‘collect’ dependant on prevailing conditions.

CUT AND COLLECT - The traditional way to maintain lawns is now made even more efficient with the combi-nation of the new blade, deck and collecting bag. Grass clippings are conveyed in an air vortex via the huge discharge tunnel into an easy to empty collecting bag. The smooth, deep deck design gives a consistent, even flow of grass that optimises collection even in wet heavy conditions.

MULCHING - The environmentally friendly future of lawnmowing. Mulching instead of collecting saves energy and can reduce mowing time by up to 40%. It also eases pressure on landfill sites, as there are no clippings to dispose of. Advantages of mulching go far beyond faster, easier cutting. The tiny fragments of grass left be-hind on the lawn are made up of 90% water and the balance contains nutrient rich organic material that can be returned to the soil. This rich organic matter includes Nitrogen, Phosphorous and Potassium and in smaller quantities Iron, Calcium and Magnesium - all essential elements in healthy plant growth.

“TWIST TRACTION” - The revolutionary drive system from IBEA that has evolved from the world of motorcycling. Operation of “TT” system is based on a similar intuitive movement of the wrist. As with motorcycles a throttle is used to increase and decrease forward speed. Speed variation of between 0 and 5 kph is available with a simple wrist movement. Releas-

ing the throttle immediately disengages the drive. When traction is disengaged a special device within the gearbox neutralises drive allowing the lawnmower to be manoeuvred backwards or forwards with no friction drag from the gearbox. Another Ibea exclusive

“MONO MATIC” - Models not fitted with the “TT” system still enjoy the same innovative drive system. Even without the throttle it is still possible to slow down the mower by “feathering” the traction lever thus enabling the operator to manoeuvre easily in difficult areas. Smooth, jerk free starting every time.

Ibea’s range of Minitransporters is the ideal solution for moving heavy goods and materials in not easily accessible environments. Very versatile, they are available in two different loading capacities, two types of beds and two un-loading solutions,manual or hydraulic, so as to offer the proper solution to any requirement. With the extendible box bed they are ideal for the trans-port of fruit, logs, packages; the dumper bed is designed for sand, soil, ce-ment, manure.The four loading capacities are 250, 300 and 400 kg. for the smaller units, which are equipped with two forward and one reverse speed transmission, and 500 kg. for the larger one, with three forward and two reverse gears.
