Psalm 46

God is our refuge and strength, an

ever-present help in trouble. Therefore

we will not fear, though the earth give

way and the mountains fall into the

heart of the sea, though its waters roar

and foam and the mountains quake

with their surging. There is a river

whose streams make glad the city of

God, the holy place where the Most

High dwells. God is within her, she will

not fall; God will help her at break of

day. Nations are in uproar, kingdoms

fall; he lifts his voice, the earth melts.

The LORD Almighty is with us; the

God of Jacob is our fortress. Come and

see the works of the LORD, the

desolations he has brought on the

earth. He makes wars cease to the ends

of the earth; he breaks the bow and

shatters the spear, he burns the shields

with fire. "Be still, and know that I am

God; I will be exalted among the

nations, I will be exalted in the earth."

The LORD Almighty is with us; the

God of Jacob is our fortress.

VERSE 3:

A E D A F#m7 D Esus E A

And though this world, with demons filled, should threaten to und - o us;

A E D A F#m7 D Esus E A

We will not fear, for God hath willed His Truth to triumph thr - ough us.

E/G# B E A E C#m7 F#m7

The prince of darkness grim, we tremble not for him,

F#m7 B7 E D C#7

His rage we can endure, for lo! his doom is sure,

F#m7 E Bm7 Bm7 E (A hold)

One little Word shall fe - ll him.

CHORUS: D E

If You were not on our side,

Who can stand against us, with You on our side? (REPEAT)

VERSE 4:

Revelation 19:4-6

The twenty-four elders and the four living creatures fell down and worshiped God, who was seated on the throne. And

they cried: "Amen, Hallelujah!"

Then a voice came from the throne, saying: "Praise our God, all you his servants, you who fear him, both small and

great!"

Then I heard what sounded like a great multitude, like the roar of rushing waters and like loud peals of thunder,

shouting: "Hallelujah! For our Lord God Almighty reigns…”

Revelation 5:11-12

Then I looked and heard the voice of many angels, numbering thousands upon thousands, and ten thousand times ten

thousand. They encircled the throne and the living creatures and the elders. In a loud voice they sang: "Worthy is the

Lamb, who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and praise!"

Psalm 145:1-13

I will exalt you, my God and King, and praise your name forever and ever. I will praise you every day; yes, I will praise you

forever. Great is the Lord! He is most worthy of praise! No one can measure his greatness. Let each generation tell its children of

your mighty acts; let them proclaim your power. I will meditate on your majestic, glorious splendor and your wonderful miracles.

Your awe-inspiring deeds will be on every tongue; I will proclaim your greatness. Everyone will share the story of your wonderful

goodness; they will sing with joy about your righteousness. The Lord is merciful and compassionate, slow to get angry and filled

with unfailing love. The Lord is good to everyone. He showers compassion on all his creation. All of your works will thank you,

Lord, and your faithful followers will praise you. They will speak of the glory of your kingdom; they will give examples of your

power. They will tell about your mighty deeds and about the majesty and glory of your reign. For your kingdom is an everlasting

kingdom. You rule throughout all generations.

Ephesians 2:1-10

Once you were dead because of your disobedience and your many sins. You used to live in sin, just like the rest

of the world, obeying the devil—the commander of the powers in the unseen world. He is the spirit at work in

the hearts of those who refuse to obey God. All of us used to live that way, following the passionate desires and

inclinations of our sinful nature. By our very nature we were subject to God’s anger, just like everyone else.

But God is so rich in mercy, and he loved us so much, that even though we were dead because of our sins, he

gave us life when he raised Christ from the dead. (It is only by God’s grace that you have been saved!) For he

raised us from the dead along with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms because we are united

with Christ Jesus. So God can point to us in all future ages as examples of the incredible wealth of his grace

and kindness toward us, as shown in all he has done for us who are united with Christ Jesus.

God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God.

Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it. For we are God’s

masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.

2 Corinthians 5:17-21 17

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come! 18

All this is from God,

who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: 19

that God was reconciling the

world to himself in Christ, not counting men's sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of

reconciliation. 20

We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We

implore you on Christ's behalf: Be reconciled to God. 21

God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him

we might become the righteousness of God.

G Em7 G/A D (Em7 D Em7 D Em7 D)

Who ever lives and pleads for me.

G D

My name is graven on His hands,

Upward I look and see Him there

G Em7 G/A D

My life is hid with Christ on high,

With Christ, my Savior and my God

G Em7 G/A D (Em7 D Em7 D Em7 D)

With Christ, my Savior and my God

Hebrews 7:23-26

Now there have been many of those priests, since death prevented them from continuing in office; but because Jesus

lives forever, he has a permanent priesthood. Therefore he is able to save completely those who come to God through

him, because he always lives to intercede for them.

Such a high priest meets our need—one who is holy, blameless, pure, set apart from sinners, exalted above the

heavens. Unlike the other high priests, he does not need to offer sacrifices day after day, first for his own sins, and

then for the sins of the people. He sacrificed for their sins once for all when he offered himself. For the law appoints

as high priests men who are weak; but the oath, which came after the law, appointed the Son, who has been made

perfect forever.

Romans 5:17-21

For the sin of this one man, Adam, caused death to rule over many. But even greater is God’s wonderful grace and his gift of

righteousness, for all who receive it will live in triumph over sin and death through this one man, Jesus Christ. Yes, Adam’s one

sin brings condemnation for everyone, but Christ’s one act of righteousness brings a right relationship with God and new life

for everyone. Because one person disobeyed God, many became sinners. But because one other person obeyed God, many will

be made righteous. God’s law was given so that all people could see how sinful they were. But as people sinned more and more,

God’s wonderful grace became more abundant. So just as sin ruled over all people and brought them to death, now God’s

wonderful grace rules instead, giving us right standing with God and resulting in eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Colossians 1:15-20

15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. 16 For by him all things were

created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or

authorities; all things were created by him and for him. 17 He is before all things, and in him all things hold

together. 18 And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the

dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy.19 For God was pleased to have all his fullness

dwell in him, 20 and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in

heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross.

Colossians 3:1-3

1 Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is seated at

the right hand of God. 2 Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. 3 For you died, and your life

is now hidden with Christ in God.

I once thought these things were valuable, but now I consider them worthless because of what Christ has done. Yes,

discarded everything else, counting it all as garbage, so that I could gain Christ and become one with him. I no longer

count on my own righteousness through obeying the law; rather, I become righteous through faith in Christ. For God’s

Bm A G

I am a conqueror and co-heir with Christ,

Romans 8:31-39

What, then, shall we say in response to this? If

God is for us, who can be against us? He who did

not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us

all—how will he not also, along with him,

graciously give us all things? Who will bring any

charge against those whom God has chosen? It is

God who justifies. Who is he that condemns?

Christ Jesus, who died—more than that, who was

raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is

also interceding for us. Who shall separate us

from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship

or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger

or sword? As it is written: "For your sake we face

death all day long; we are considered as sheep to

be slaughtered." No, in all these things we are

more than conquerors through him who loved

us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life,

neither angels nor demons, neither the present

nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor

depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be

able to separate us from the love of God that is in

Christ Jesus our Lord.

Ephesians 2:1-18

Once you were dead because of your disobedience and your many sins. You used to live in sin, just like the rest of the world,

obeying the devil—the commander of the powers in the unseen world. He is the spirit at work in the hearts of those who

refuse to obey God. All of us used to live that way, following the passionate desires and inclinations of our sinful nature. By

our very nature we were subject to God’s anger, just like everyone else.

But God is so rich in mercy, and he loved us so much, that even though we were dead because of our sins, he gave us life

when he raised Christ from the dead. (It is only by God’s grace that you have been saved!) For he raised us from the dead

along with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ Jesus. So God can point

to us in all future ages as examples of the incredible wealth of his grace and kindness toward us, as shown in all he has done

for us who are united with Christ Jesus.

God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a

reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it. For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us

anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.

Don’t forget that you Gentiles used to be outsiders. You were called “uncircumcised heathens” by the Jews, who were proud

of their circumcision, even though it affected only their bodies and not their hearts. In those days you were living apart from

Christ. You were excluded from citizenship among the people of Israel, and you did not know the covenant promises God had

made to them. You lived in this world without God and without hope. But now you have been united with Christ Jesus. Once

you were far away from God, but now you have been brought near to him through the blood of Christ.

For Christ himself has brought peace to us. He united Jews and Gentiles into one people when, in his own body on the cross,

he broke down the wall of hostility that separated us. He did this by ending the system of law with its commandments and

regulations. He made peace between Jews and Gentiles by creating in himself one new people from the two groups. Together

as one body, Christ reconciled both groups to God by means of his death on the cross, and our hostility toward each other

was put to death.

He brought this Good News of peace to you Gentiles who were far away from him, and peace to the Jews who were near.

Now all of us can come to the Father through the same Holy Spirit because of what Christ has done for us.

Romans 3:23-26

For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard. Yet God, with undeserved kindness, declares that we

are righteous. He did this through Christ Jesus when he freed us from the penalty for our sins. For God presented Jesus as

the sacrifice for sin. People are made right with God when they believe that Jesus sacrificed his life, shedding his blood. This

sacrifice shows that God was being fair when he held back and did not punish those who sinned in times past, for he was

looking ahead and including them in what he would do in this present time. God did this to demonstrate his righteousness,

for he himself is fair and just, and he declares sinners to be right in his sight when they believe in Jesus.

Then the angel spoke to the women. “Don’t be

afraid!” he said. “I know you are looking for Jesus,

who was crucified. He isn’t here! He is risen from

the dead, just as he said would happen. Come, see

where his body was lying. And now, go quickly and

tell his disciples that he has risen from the dead,

and he is going ahead of you to Galilee. You will

see him there. Remember what I have told you.”

The women ran quickly from the tomb. They were

very frightened but also filled with great joy, and

they rushed to give the disciples the angel’s

message. And as they went, Jesus met them and

greeted them. And they ran to him, grasped his feet,

and worshiped him. Then Jesus said to them,

“Don’t be afraid! Go tell my brothers to leave for

Galilee, and they will see me there.”

Psalm 40:1-5

I waited patiently for the Lord to help me, and he turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the pit of despair,

out of the mud and the mire. He set my feet on solid ground and steadied me as I walked along. He has given me a new

song to sing, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see what he has done and be amazed. They will put their trust in

the Lord. Oh, the joys of those who trust the Lord, who have no confidence in the proud or in those who worship idols.

O Lord my God, you have performed many wonders for us. Your plans for us are too numerous to list. You have no

equal. If I tried to recite all your wonderful deeds, I would never come to the end of them.

Ephesians 3:14-21

When I think of all this, I fall to my knees and pray to the Father, the Creator of everything in heaven and on earth.

I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit. Then

Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep

you strong. And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how

high, and how deep his love is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully.

Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God. Now all glory to God,

who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.

Glory to him in the church and in Christ Jesus through all generations forever and ever! Amen.

I will exalt you, my God and King, and praise your name forever and ever.

I will praise you every day; yes, I will praise you forever.

Great is the Lord! He is most worthy of praise! No one can measure his greatness.

Let each generation tell its children of your mighty acts; let them proclaim your power.

I will meditate on your majestic, glorious splendor and your wonderful miracles.

Your awe-inspiring deeds will be on every tongue; I will proclaim your greatness.

Everyone will share the story of your wonderful goodness; they will sing with joy about your righteousness.

The Lord is merciful and compassionate, slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love.

The Lord is good to everyone. He showers compassion on all his creation.

All of your works will thank you, Lord, and your faithful followers will praise you.

They will speak of the glory of your kingdom; they will give examples of your power.

For your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom. You rule throughout all generations.

Titus 3:3-8

At one time we too were foolish, disobedient, deceived

and enslaved by all kinds of passions and pleasures.

We lived in malice and envy, being hated and hating

one another. But when the kindness and love of God

our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of

righteous things we had done, but because of his

mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth

and renewal by the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out

on us generously through Jesus Christ our Savior, so

that, having been justified by his grace, we might

become heirs having the hope of eternal life. This is a

trustworthy saying. And I want you to stress these

things, so that those who have trusted in God may be

careful to devote themselves to doing what is good.

These things are excellent and profitable for everyone.

Hebrews 2:14-18

Since the children have flesh and blood, he too shared in their humanity so that by his death he might destroy him who holds

the power of death—that is, the devil—and free those who all their lives were held in slavery by their fear of death. For surely

it is not angels he helps, but Abraham's descendants. For this reason he had to be made like his brothers in every way, in

order that he might become a merciful and faithful high priest in service to God, and that he might make atonement for the

sins of the people. Because he himself suffered when he was tempted, he is able to help those who are being tempted.

1 John 4:15-18

If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in him and he in God. And so we know and rely on the love

God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in him. In this way, love is made complete among us

so that we will have confidence on the day of judgment, because in this world we are like him. There is no fear in love. But

perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.

1 Corinthians 2:6-10

We do, however, speak a message of wisdom among the mature, but not the wisdom of this age or of the rulers of this age,

who are coming to nothing. No, we speak of God's secret wisdom, a wisdom that has been hidden and that God destined for

our glory before time began. None of the rulers of this age understood it, for if they had, they would not have crucified the

Lord of glory. However, as it is written: "No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared

for those who love him"—but God has revealed it to us by his Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of

God.

Mark 8:34-38

Then he called the crowd to him along with his disciples and said: "If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and

take up his cross and follow me. For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me and for the

gospel will save it. What good is it for a man to gain the whole world, yet forfeit his soul? Or what can a man give in

exchange for his soul? If anyone is ashamed of me and my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of Man will

be ashamed of him when he comes in his Father's glory with the holy angels."

believe. This High Priest of ours understands our weaknesses, for he faced all of the same testings we do, yet he did not sin.

So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us

when we need it most.

1 Peter 1:3-9

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope

through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade—kept in

heaven for you, who through faith are shielded by God's power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed

in the last time. In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials.

These have come so that your faith—of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire—may be proved

genuine and may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed. Though you have not seen him, you love

him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, for

you are receiving the goal of your faith, the salvation of your souls.

2 Corinthians 6:14-18

Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For

what do righteousness and wickedness have in

common? Or what fellowship can light have

with darkness? What harmony is there between

Christ and Belial? What does a believer have in

common with an unbeliever? What agreement

is there between the temple of God and idols?

For we are the temple of the living God. As

God has said: "I will live with them and walk

among them, and I will be their God, and they

will be my people."

"Therefore come out from them

and be separate, says the Lord.

Touch no unclean thing,

and I will receive you."

"I will be a Father to you,

and you will be my sons and daughters,

says the Lord Almighty."

Galatians 5:1

It is for freedom that Christ has set us free.

Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves

be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.

Psalm 146

Praise the Lord! Let all that I am praise the Lord. I will praise the Lord as long as I live. I will sing praises to my God

with my dying breath. Don’t put your confidence in powerful people; there is no help for you there. When they breathe

their last, they return to the earth, and all their plans die with them. But joyful are those who have the God of Israel as

their helper, whose hope is in the Lord their God. He made heaven and earth, the sea, and everything in them. He keeps

every promise forever. He gives justice to the oppressed and food to the hungry. The Lord frees the prisoners. The Lord

opens the eyes of the blind. The Lord lifts up those who are weighed down. The Lord loves the godly. The Lord protects

the foreigners among us. He cares for the orphans and widows, but he frustrates the plans of the wicked. The Lord will

reign forever. He will be your God, O Jerusalem, throughout the generations.

Matthew 21:6-11

The disciples went and did as Jesus had instructed

them. They brought the donkey and the colt, placed

their cloaks on them, and Jesus sat on them. A very

large crowd spread their cloaks on the road, while

others cut branches from the trees and spread them on

the road. The crowds that went ahead of him and

those that followed shouted,

"Hosanna to the Son of David!"

"Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!"

"Hosanna in the highest!"

When Jesus entered Jerusalem, the whole city was

stirred and asked, "Who is this?"

The crowds answered, "This is Jesus, the prophet

from Nazareth in Galilee."

Zechariah 9:9-12

Rejoice greatly, O Daughter of Zion!

Shout, Daughter of Jerusalem!

See, your king comes to you,

righteous and having salvation,

gentle and riding on a donkey,

on a colt, the foal of a donkey.

I will take away the chariots from Ephraim

and the war-horses from Jerusalem,

and the battle bow will be broken.

He will proclaim peace to the nations.

His rule will extend from sea to sea

and from the River to the ends of the earth.

As for you, because of the blood of my covenant with

you, I will free your prisoners from the waterless pit.

Return to your fortress, O prisoners of hope; even

now I announce that I will restore twice as much to

you.

mercy of our God, by which the rising sun will come to us

from heaven to shine on those living in darkness and in the

shadow of death, to guide our feet into the path of peace."

1 John 1:1-3

See how very much our Father loves us, for he calls us his children, and that is what we are! But the people who belong to

this world don’t recognize that we are God’s children because they don’t know him. Dear friends, we are already God’s

children, but he has not yet shown us what we will be like when Christ appears. But we do know that we will be like him, for

we will see him as he really is. And all who have this eager expectation will keep themselves pure, just as he is pure.

Ephesians 3:14-21

When I think of all this, I fall to my knees and pray to the Father, the Creator of everything in heaven and on earth. I pray

that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit. Then Christ will make

his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong. And may you

have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. May you

experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness

of life and power that comes from God.

Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might

ask or think. Glory to him in the church and in Christ Jesus through all generations forever and ever! Amen.

The earth is the LORD's, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it; for he founded it upon the seas and established

it upon the waters. Who may ascend the hill of the LORD? Who may stand in his holy place? He who has clean hands and a

pure heart, who does not lift up his soul to an idol or swear by what is false. He will receive blessing from the LORD and

vindication from God his Savior. Such is the generation of those who seek him, who seek your face, O God of Jacob. Selah.

Lift up your heads, O you gates; be lifted up, you ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in. Who is this King of glory?

The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle. Lift up your heads, O you gates; lift them up, you ancient doors,

that the King of glory may come in. Who is he, this King of glory? The LORD Almighty—he is the King of glory.
