WHO WE ARE

4 V I M B R A N D G U I D E N ov 2 0 19

ORIGIN STORYWhat inspired the creation of our company is the harsh fact that buildings are compromising our environment as the largest contributor to excessive resource consumption and waste, which is a direct result of the industry’s fragmented process and litigious culture of accountability.

We need to change that. And we can.

We are determined to transform the way that architects, engineers and construction professionals design and build buildings. By combining our decades old expertise in business, art and science we lead the industry’s rallying cry for a better future for our planet’s population.

OUR BR AND PROMISEWe promise to help you realize your design’s intent, each and every time you engage with our solution.

We promise to make collaboration work for you. By removing the artificial walls between the AEC disciplines, we enable teams to deliver and sustain a building’s design intent, from its originally approved conception to its ongoing operation – for years and years to come.

We promise to help you remove AEC bias. VIM treats all AEC disciplines with equal appreciation to help you realize your building’s intended function, aesthetics, construction and environmental leadership.

OUR MISSION STATEMENT

We help you design, deliver, and operate better buildings for a better world

OUR LOGOOur brand has evolved with our company to keep up with our growth and aspirations. Our current rebrand was developed over many months of market reseach and careful process to create something durable for our present and future.

The first big change we made was dropping “AEC.” Just call us VIM! It’s easier to say and it really is the core of what we are.

The new VIM brand is a V cut from a hexagon with facets that refract light. We have a color logo shaded with our brand colors and our main version of that is the vertical one with VIM below the mark.

We have alternates for situations where the main vertical one is not a good fit. The following pages outline how to use the logo and which backgrounds are approved for logo placement. If you have questions about logo usage please direct them to your design lead.

Make sure you are using the right format of logo for your job. For online, choose a logo from the raster logos folder. Please don’t convert to gif or jpeg. For print there is an .ai file for each logo set up in CMYK in the vector logo folder.

Clear space equal to the height of the V in VIM must be kept around the logo no matter where it is placed.

COLOR LOGOSThe vertical logo in color is our preferred VIM logo. It’s not always possible to work with this shape so we also have a landscape option as well as an option with white text.

12 V I M B R A N D G U I D E N ov 2 0 19

WHITE LOGOSOur white logo is much like the color one with delicate gradient detail. It comes in both the vertical and landscape formats

THE WORLD IS EVOLVINGAnd the traditional Design and Construction business model struggles to keep up.This exciting transformation of gaming technology into other business applications has resulted in VIM founding the VIM (Virtual Information Modeling) technology. As a leader in the AEC industry, through converting the BIM (Building Information Model) into a VIM quickly and seamlessly. The combination of 3D gaming and VR technology with innovative cloud solutions enables sophisticated building design visualizations and facilitates optimized BIM workflows. Brought together in a single, easy to use tool, the integrated visualization software by VIM streamlines all phases of the design process.

VIM offers a unique arsenal of powerful visualization capabilities that gives architectural firms the ability to inspire clients all over the world without leaving their desks. Capable of bringing BIM models to life, the platform facilitates architectural presentation in unprecedented ways. Seamlessly importing Revit models via the VIM, into an awe-inspiring, interactive, and fully immersive virtual walkthroughs of even the most intricate architectural designs.

The VIM Cloud makes the creation process of these impressive visualization outputs a breeze. The simple importation feature and full suite of intuitive tools are user-friendly for both programming professionals and novices alike. To optimize workflows and significantly reduce production timelines, the VIM also simplifies rapid testing. In addition, the fully customizable platform deploys outputs to multiple operating systems including Windows, Mac, and Linux as well as mobile platforms such as iOS, Android, Windows Phone, and many others.

These impressive features are revolutionizing the architectural industry, and the VIM collaboration is leading the way. Once used only for developing recreational games, the advanced visualization technology now designs buildings and even entire cities!

WE ARE ROLLING OUT A NEW PRODUCT

Read more about it in the December issue of Wired magazine. Watch the demo here

Use generous margins and ample white space.

Keep line about the same weight as the heading it lines up with.

Keep text LEFT aligned, avoid mixing alignments and stay away from centered text as much as possible..

Track out all-caps. Use lighter weights for body copy. We are aiming for high contrast between the levels of type hierachy.

SOCIAL MEDIA

25 V I M B R A N D G U I D E N ov 2 0 19

SOCIAL MEDIA We have visual and editorial standards for our social media. Here is a general idea of how we sound and look in each space.

VIM LinkedIN, Twitter, FacebookPosts are professional, newsy, properly tagged. Tone is positive and all posts are about what VIM is doing or who we’ve partnered with. Do not get into off-topic banter or post casual social images from events. You may respond to questions or concerns in a friendly tone and direct them to a private message conversation.

VIM Instagram

This is where we can tell more of a story about VIM, a “making of” rather than just the news headlines. Keep posts tightly focused on VIM’s process and follow the templates outlined in the next pages. The photo quality should be high, well composed and images should help tell the story.

Public Twitter, LinkedIN accounts of our company leadership Our company leaders can engage in more direct dialogue with industry peers. Please don’t share memes unless we create them. They are often funny but might be hosted or created by a source that doesn’t align with VIM. You are representing the company as well as yourself online in a public forum. Any controversial, racist, sexist remarks could result in some very bad press. When in doubt, leave it out.
