Lucrative opportunities abounding in BangladeshBangladesh's economy is projected to grow at 6.8 percent for the fiscal year 2022, says the Asian Development Bank (ADB), and the apparel exports are likely to fetch $50 billion in 2022, which reflects a strong recovery supported by strengthening manufacturing, and the next phase of Bangladesh's economic growth would hugely depend on the textile & apparel industry.

Despite the COVID-19 pandemic having battered global garment exports in the past two years, Bangladesh's readymade garments (RMG) showed a reverse growth, with a total export of US$35.57 billion in 2021, which increased 29.4% with 2020, the export volume of knitwear is greater than plain fabrics.

As the key growth driver for Bangladesh export, RMG will keep bringing glory to the nation with continued expansion in the world economy and effective government recovery policies. The necessity of related RMG machinery keeps increasing domestically. As the largest textile & garment exhibition in Bangladesh, DTG attracts over 30,000 overseas buyers every year and has strong support from local associations.
