Tutorial Menginstall JAVA pada Windows

Saat ini, java banyak digunakan orang maupun perusahaan-perusahaan yang bergerak dibidang IT. Hal ini dikarenakan Java dapat dioperasikan pada semua sistem operasi yang

ada saat ini. Java merupakan bahasa pemrograman tingkat tinggi yang memiliki

karakteristik simple, object-oriented, distributed, interpreted, aman, dan memilikiperformance yang tinggi. ahasa pemrograman Java merupakan compiler sekaligus

interpreter, dimana sebagai compiler, program yang telah dibuat akan diubah menjadi

java bytecodes dan kemudian sebagai interpreter java bytecodes tersebut dijalankan padakomputer.

Java platform memiliki ! komponen yaitu Java "irtual #achine yang berfungsi sebagai

jembatan antara bytecode dengan hard$are dan Java %pplication &rogramming Interface'Java %&I( yang merupakan komponen-komponen dan kelas java yang telah jadi dan

memiliki kemampuan untuk menangani objek, string, angka, dan sebagainya.

&ada kesempatan kali ini saya ingin sharing kepada pembaca bagaimana cara menginstall

program java pada sistem operasi $indo$s. eberapa syarat penting yang harus diketahui

sebelum menginstall java adalah )

Note - The J/ has t$o version numbers -- e5ternal version number '+( and an

internal version number '6.+.3(.

Notes-- Trying to install the J/ on a non-supported version of #icrosoft 2indo$sor on a machine that doesn7t have a sufficiently up-to-date Service &ack $ill cause the

installer to generate this $arning) 82e recommend that you do not install this Java

platform for the follo$ing reasons) This Java platform does not support the operatingsystem or operating-system service pack on this machine.8 See the system

re1uirementsabove for information on supported configurations of #icrosoft

Installation Instructions

In this procedure, you $ill run the self-installing e5ecutable to unpack and install the

J/ soft$are bundle. %s part of the J/, this installation includes an option to

include the public Java Runtime Environment. 'The J/ also contains aprivateJ* for use only by its tools.(

a convenience.

3hould & set the AT2 variable4Set the &%TH variable if you $ant to be able to conveniently run the J/ e5ecutables

'j/v/.exe, j/v/.exe, j/v/do.exe, etc.( from any directory $ithout having to type

the full path of the command. If you don7t set the &%TH variable, you need to specify

the full path to the e5ecutable every time you run it, such as)

It7s useful to set the &%TH permanently so it $ill persist after rebooting.

2ow do & set the AT2 permanentl'4

To set the &%TH permanently, add the full path of the5d1.6.789version:;bin

directory to the &%TH variable. Typically this full path looks something likeC/;rogram -iles;Java;5d1.6.789version:;bin. Set the &%TH as follo$s on

#icrosoft 2indo$s)

&%TH environment variable is a series of directories separated by semi-colons'@( and is not case sensitive. #icrosoft 2indo$s looks for programs in the

&%TH directories in order, from left to right.

>ou should only have one bindirectory for a J/ in the path at a time. Those

follo$ing the first instance are ignored. If one is already present, update it tojdk6.+.3

The ne$ path takes effect in each ne$ command $indo$ you open after

setting the &%TH variable.

our computer system should no$ be ready to use the J/. In this step, you7ll run

some simple commands to make sure it is $orking properly.

Uninstalling the JDK

If you should ever $ant to uninstall the J/, use the 8%ddFemove &rograms8 utility

in the #icrosoft 2indo$s 0ontrol &anel.

Troubleshooting the Installation

If you see the error messagecorrupt cabinet !ile then the file you have

do$nloaded is corrupted. 0heck the file si=e against the e5pected file si=e

listed in these instructions. If they don7t match, try do$nloading the bundleagain. % cabinet file contains compressed application, data, resource and AA

files.

If you see the error message 3'stem Error during $ecompressionthen

you might not have enough space on the disk that contains your T*#&

directory.

If you see the error message 8 This program cannot be run in 9S mode.8 then

membutuhkan fasilitas ocumentation.

&ada komputer harus terpasang mouse untuk memudahkan pemilihan topik

instalasi maupun instruksi pada fasilitas ocumentation.

&rocessor yang digunakan minimal jenis &entium II atau yang lebih baik.

diperoleh secara gratis melalui internet pada alamat berikut Java.com

Setelah syarat diatas tadi sudah dipenuhi, proses instalasi dimulai dengan menjalankan

file yang anda do$nload tadi. &ada sistem operasi $indo$s filenya jdk-+-$indo$s-iKG+.e5e yang merupakan sistem Java versi J/ 6.+.3. J/ sendiri merupakan singkatan

dari Java evelopment /it. Instalasi dimulai dari membaca file sumber Java. /emudian,

setelah melalui beberapa proses yang singkat, instalasi Java akan menampilkan form

persetujuan. %nda tinggal mengikuti instruksi yang diberikan hingga keluar form untuk

menentukan dimana kita akan meletakkan sistem Java. Saya sarankan untuk menginstallJava pada directory 8c)EJava8. Selanjutnya anda tinggal melanjutkan intruksi yang

diberikan hingga proses instalasi java selesai.

Setelah proses instalasi selesai, Java akan menampilkan form penutup. irectory

8c)EJavaEbin8 berisi file-file yang dibutuhkan untuk mengolah file program java. :ntuk

tingkat dasar kita hanya membutuhkan ! file )

4ile javac.e5e digunakan untuk mengcompile file program java.

4ile java.e5e digunakan untuk menge5ecute file program java yang telah

dicompile.
