Grommet Tube

Grommets, juga disebut tympanostomy atau ventilasi tabung, adalah tabung plastik kecil yang dimasukkan ke dalam celah kecil di gendang telinga anak dalam operasi.

Indikasi :

Indikasi yang paling umum untuk tabung telinga penyisipan tetap persisten (> 3 mo) otitis media dengan efusi (OME), atau serous otitis media (SOM), yang tidak sembuh setelah 3 bulan pengamatan klinis atau tidak membaik dengan terapi antibiotik. Penyisipan tabung telinga membantu drainase cairan telinga tengah, yang dapat menyebabkan keterlambatan bicara dan bahasa jika tidak ditangani dalam waktu lama. Cairan telinga tengah juga merupakan predisposisi infeksi berulang.

Indikasi lain untuk Penyisipan tabung telinga adalah otitis media akut (OMA) yang refrakter terhadap terapi antibiotik. Pada orang yang tidak mentolerir terapi antibiotik dengan baik, tabung telinga penyisipan memungkinkan jalan keluar cairan telinga tengah (purulen, serous, mukoid) dan memungkinkan pengiriman mudah tetes antibiotik topikal untuk ruang telinga tengah.

Indikasi tambahan untuk telinga yang cepat Penyisipan tabung telinga termasuk komplikasi dari OMA, seperti meningitis, kelumpuhan saraf wajah, dan mastoiditis. Pada pasien dengan komplikasi ini, tabung telinga dapat membantu menghentikan luka membran timpani (misalnya, dari kantong retraksi, yang mendistorsi gendang telinga, dan proses halus otitis media adhesive, yang membatasi getaran tulang pendengaran dan dapat menyebabkan gangguan pendengaran permanen). Penyisipan Prompt tabung tympanostomy ventilates ruang telinga tengah dan mencegah retraksi lanjut dari gendang telinga di bawah tekanan negatif.
