Rafinosaadalahtrisaccharideterdiri darigalaktosa, glukosa, dan fruktosa. Hal ini

dapat ditemukan dalam kacang-kacangan , kubis , kecambah brussels,brokoli, asparagus ,

lain sayuran , dan seluruh biji-bijian . Rafinosa dapat dihidrolisis untuk D-galaktosa dan

sukrosa oleh enzim -galaktosidase(-!"#, suatu enzim tidak ditemukan dalam saluran
