Ground Preformed Tension Clamp
FUNCTION
Dead-ends are designed to hold insulated cables and bare homogeneous cables in transmission
and distribution construction. Mechanical strength for these dead-ends are superior to that of
homogeneous cables. But, for steel-core cables the strength is approx the same as the breaking
load of the aluminum strands.
This products are manufactured with aluminum covered steel for ACSR and homogeneous
conductor, with copper covered steel for copper conductors and galvanized steel for direct
application on insulator conductor.
These transmission and distribution dead-ends must be used with a clevis thimble and insulators
which have smoothly contoured surfaces adequate groove widths and loop diameters.
NOTE:
The out layer direction of transmission and distribution dead-ends must be same as that of the
outer standing of the conductor to which it is applied.

DESIGN
This type of dead ends is a fast, simple safe method for retaining or securing cables such as stay
wires, ground wires etc.
Standard products have an open helix loop but they can be supplied with a cabled loop to
prevent slackening of the line after prolonged installation.
The dead ends are made of material compatible with the cable to which they are applied
The dead ends with helical wires are used to given an even distribution of force ever a wide
surface preventing strain concentration and potential damage to conductors.
Its breaking load exceeds that of the conductor to which is applied.
NOTE
The layer direction of distribution-grip dead ends must be the same as that of the outer stranding
of the conductor to which it is applied.

FunctionIt has higher supporting capability of dynamic stress,suspend the OPGW to the Poles/ towers

Side ties
FUNCTION
Side ties are designed for securing conductors in the side groove of insulators. Both vertically or
horizontally mounted. They eliminate fatigue and wear problems on conductors.
Its design takes into account a tie pad to protect the bare conductor from abrasion at the
conductor-insulator Interface.
Tie pads are not required with jacketed conductors.This product is manufactured with aluminum
covered steel for ACSR and homogeneous conductors with copper covered steel for copper
conductors and galvanized steel for direct application on insulated conductor
MECHANICAL STRENGTH
Side ties have a slip load superior to 3.5kN in unbalanced load conditions. This strength is usually
sufficient to contain a broken conductor to a single span.
NOTE
The lay direction of side ties must be the same as the that the outer stranding of the conductor to
which it is applied.

FUNCTION
Distribution ties are designed for securing conductors in the top groove of rigid insulators
vertically mounted.
This specific distribution tie provides perfect resistance to mechanical strain under all types of
motion including aeolian vibration, galloping and sway.
Distribution tie design takes into account a tie pad to protect the bare conductor from abrasion at
the conductor insulator interface.
Tie pads are not required with jacketed conductors.
This product is manufactured with the same grade material| as the conductor to which it is
applied.
MECHANICAL STRENGTH

Armor Rods (HXT)
The armor rods can protect the optical cable by preventing the vibration damper aluminum
clamp from nipping directly onto the OPGW cables to cause damages of the cable.

E Armor rods
PROTECTION
Armor Rods are recommended for the protection of conductors at the point of suspension and
stock bridge vibration damper, on alignment or with angles. They protect conductors for line
angles up to 30°. Armor Rods fit tightly with the suspension and prevent bending of the
conductors.
MATERIAL
These products are made from aluminium alloy.
NOTE
Lay direction of the armor rod must be the same as that of the outer stranding of the conductor
to which it is applied.
