Spend extra time walking around and see if there is anything need to buy but forget to put into the list

Separate different items in different area of the cart (only if buy a lot)

This action happened 10% of times based on survey

Take time reorganize the shopping sequence to spend less time walking and searching

    Have to re-bag and move

    everything again

Feel better just because it is

    OPPORTUNITY

People prefer not carrying extra things with them, even it might be fun to intereact with Conflicts between consumer interests and store profits are still there This design is not for few time use, but for a long time use From financial management perspective, less change to the current product is better

Refine Concept 4 by referencing dierent ideas from other concepts Improve the consumer - product interaction Refine Concept 4 to make it a more mature product

Zhiyan Wang / Project Portfolio / Purdue University / 2016

FRESHENDue to space limitation, lack of awareness and technology ... , most of the college students who live on campus do not have a comprehensive understanding about Food Safety.

My design goal is to create a unique experience for college students to build and maintain healthy food-related behaviors.

    Fridge for College Student

  • Zhiyan Wang / Project Portfolio / Purdue University / 2016

    FRESHEN Fridge / 2015.9 - 2015.11

OOPS! I TOTALLY FORGOT!How long do you usually keep your leftovers in your fridge? College students who cook or store food in fridge in their dorms usually cook a large amount of food each time and store those leftovers in their fridges for a long time concumption, which causes them forgeting what they stored and when they put certain food in.All these behaviors in most of the cases Food Poinsoning and other related health concerns.

Zhiyan Wang / Project Portfolio / Purdue University / 2016

    FRESHEN Fridge / 2015.9 - 2015.11

FOOD POISONINGLeftovers kept for more than 3 days in the fridge, the risk of food poisoning increases. Food poisoning - also called foodborne illness, is caused by harmful organisms, such as bacteria in contaminated food. Because bacteria typically dont change the taste, smell or look of food, you cant tell whether a food is dangerous to eat. So if youre in doubt about a foods safety, its best to throw it out.

WHAT CAUSE FOOD POISONING AT COLLEGE?Among College StudentsFood poisoning is caused by food and water which has become infected by bacteria, or viruses, parasites or toxins. This results in different types of food poisoning although they share the same symptoms, for example
