ABSTRAK
Andies Maftukhanan. 2018. Pengantar karya Tugas Akhir ini berjudul Perancangan Tipografi Berbasis Motif Batik Parang Curigo. Adapun permasalahan yang dikaji adalah (1) Bagaimana merancang tipografi berbasis
motif batik parang curigo sebagai salah satu identitas lokal budaya Indonesia. (2) Bagaimana merancang tipografi berbasis motif batik parang curigo yang terlihat
menarik dan estetik namun tetap fungsional. Tujuan perancangan ini adalah menghasilkan rancangan tipografi berbasis motif batik parang curigo sebagai media baru yang mampu melestarikan warisan budaya Indonesia kepada
masyarakat. Menghasilkan rancangan tipografi berbasis motif batik parang curigo yang memiliki nilai estetik dan fungsional. Diharapkan melalui media tipografi
tersebut dapat membantu mempermudah mengenal lebih jauh tentang motif batik parang curigo.

ABSTRACT
Andies Maftukhanan. 2018. The Final Project Introduction is titled “Designing Typography based of Parang Curigo Batik Motive”. The Examined problems are (1) How to design typography based of Parang Curigo batik motive
as one of the Indonesia’s local cultures identity? (2) How to design an attractive and aesthetic yet functional typography based Parang Curigo batik motive? The
purpose of this observation to generate typography design based of Parang Curigo batik motive as new media that is able to preserve Indonesian culture to people. Also to generate typography design based of Parang Curigo batik motive that has
aesthetic and functional value. It is expected that through this typography media, it will be easier for people to know more about Parang Curigo batik motive.
