LEDpara Tubos LED • for LED Tubes

El LED (Diodo Emisor de Luz) es un dispositivo semiconductor sólido y de gran resistencia que al recibir una corriente eléctrica de baja intensidad y polarizarse de manera directa, emite luz de forma eficiente, con alto rendimiento y de espectro reducido; fenómeno conocido como una forma de electroluminiscencia.

Este dispositivo semiconductor está comúnmente cubierto de un polímero de mayor resistencia que las de vidrio, que usualmente se emplean en las lámparas incandescentes. Aunque el plástico puede tener algún color específico, es sólo por razones estéticas, ya que ello no influye en el color de la luz emitida. Usualmente un LED es una fuente de luz compuesta por diferentes partes, razón por la cual el patrón de intensidad de la luz emitida puede ser bastante complejo.

Para obtener una buena intensidad luminosa debe escogerse bien la corriente que atraviesa el LED y evitar que este se pueda dañar. Para ello, hay que tener en cuenta que el voltaje de operación va desde 1,8 hasta 3,8 voltios aproximadamente (lo que está relacionado con el material de fabricación y la temperatura de color que emite) y que la gama de intensidades que debe circular por él varía según su aplicación.

Los diodos LED tienen enormes ventajas sobre otras fuentes de luz comunes, tales como: su bajo consumo de energía, un mantenimiento casi nulo y con una vida aproximada de 50,000 horas o más.

The LED (Light Emitting Diode), is a solid and high resistance semiconductor device that emits light efficiently, with high yield and narrow spectrum, gets directly polarized that by receiving a low intensity electric current; phenomenon also known as a form of electroluminescence.

This semiconducting device is typically covered with a polymer of higher strength than glass, which is usually used in incandescent lamps. Although plastic can have a specific color, that’s only for aesthetic reasons, since this doesn’t affect the color of the emitting light. Usually, a LED light source is made of different parts, reason why the intensity pattern of the emitted light can be quite complex.

In order to get a good light intensity, the current that flows through the LED must be well chosen and prevent it from damage. For this, it must be kept in mind that the operating voltage ranges from 1.8 to about 3.8 volts (which is related to manufacturing equipment and the color temperature emitted) and that the range of intensities that must circulate it, varies by application.

The LED diodes have huge advantages over the common light sources, such as its low power consumption and its near-zero maintenance with an approximate lifespan of 50,000 hours or more.

Proyectos LEED (“Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design”) es un sistema de certificación de edificaciones sostenibles, desarrollado por el Consejo de la Construcción Verde de Estados Unidos (US Green Building Council).

Se compone de un conjunto de normas relacionadas a la utilización de estrategias que buscan la sostenibilidad en todo tipo de edificios. Se basa además en la incorporación de aspectos relacionados con la eficiencia energética en el proyecto, el uso de energías alternativas, la mejora de la calidad ambiental interior, la eficiencia del consumo de agua, el desarrollo sostenible de los espacios y la selección de materiales.

La certificación es de uso voluntario y tiene como objetivo avanzar en la utilización de estrategias que permitan una mejora global en el impacto ambiental de la industria de la construcción.Los sistemas de iluminación LED pueden ser un importante aporte en la obtención de la certificación LEED para un nuevo edificio o remodelación, ya que pueden contribuir en la obtención de dicha certificación en áreas como: la eficiencia en el uso de la energía, sistemas de control de iluminación y uso de productos, y procesos innovadores.

Por medio de la nueva línea de luminarias LED, en Sylvania ayudamos a nuestros clientes a obtener importantes logros como la certificación LEED, contribuyendo a su vez con el ambiente y el aprovechamiento racional de los recursos naturales; ya que, si todos reemplazáramos la iluminación actual por productos LED, en 10 años reduciríamos el consumo de carbón en casi 153 millones de kilolitros, por lo que se necesitarían 230 plantas nucleares menos y se disminuirían unos 10 millones de toneladas de emisiones de dióxido de carbono a la atmósfera; además de lograr un ahorro mundial de electricidad de 1.93 billones de dólares.

With the new LED fixtures application, Sylvania may contribute in obtaining a LEED certification for your company and collaborate with environmental sustainability. This certification system of sustainable buildings called “LEED Projects” (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design), was developed by the Green Building Council of the United States.

It is composed of a set of rules related to the use of strategies that seek sustainability in all types of buildings. It is also based on the incorporation of energy efficiency aspects in the project, use of alternative energy, improvement of the indoor environmental quality, water use efficiency, sustainable development of areas and materials selection.

The certification is of voluntary use and aims to advance in using strategies that enable a global improvement in the environmental impact of the construction industry.

LED light systems could be a significant contribution in the LEED Certification for new buildings or remodeling, as they may contribute in obtaining this certification in some areas, such as: efficient use of energy, illumination control and products use systems, and innovative processes.

Through our new LED fixtures line, Sylvania helps our customers to obtain significant achievements such as LEED certification, contributing at the same time with the environment and the rational use of natural resources; because if we’d replace all the current lighting LED products, in 10 years we would reduce coal consumption by nearly 153 million kiloliters, so 230 nuclear plants would’t be necessary and about 10 million tons of carbon dioxide emissions into the atmosphere would decrease, in addition to achieving 1.93 billion dollars of global electricity savings.
