Hagshama founded the Cogress investment house in London’s business district as an expression of its transcontinental investment vision.

The London team comprises top-notch professionals: economists, lawyers, and accountants. The chairman of the investment committee, Lord Jonathan Mendelsohn, has extensive knowledge of the local capital and real estate markets.

During its first year of activity, Cogress raised NIS 129 million worth of equity, with the total value of its transactions reaching more than NIS 2.4 billion. The overall Cogress vision is to build a global investment house, consisting of local branches in Israel, the UK, the USA, and other strategic locations.

These branches will allow investments to be raised for projects by investors worldwide simultaneously, and will provide Hagshama investors with flexibility and availability for the entire range of available investments.

Hanan Shemesh | Chairman and CEOOwner and senior partner of the Aharoni Shemesh Bar Dov law firm, specializing in the business field, and specifically real estate.After a decade’s professional military service, during which Shemesh served as a naval special forces officer and managed unique defense projects, he was discharged with the rank of Major and became the owner and CEO of a private agricultural produce export company.Hanan Shemesh is leading Hagshama’s global expansion strategy since 2014, with the establishment of the Cogress branch in London. These days he’s leading the expansion in the US with the first branch in Philadelphia and with other branches that will open up in 2016.

Tal Orly | Cogress CEO | London Founder of Symbia Realty, with extensive experience initiating, developing and managing real estate projects. He has been involved in various large and complex projects since 1992. Orly is highly experienced in acquisition, development, and resale within the residential and commercial sectors. As a licensed attorney, he is familiar with complex real estate laws in many markets, as well as legal, financial and planning issues, and is able to take the vital steps required to increase the value of investments in real estate projects.

Avi Katz | President and FounderHas an impressive record in the entrepreneurial and retail fields. Founder and former owner of the Blue Square Group, where he managed an annual sales turnover of NIS 800 million. The company was sold to the Alon Group for significant shareholder profits after a remarkable series of business activities. He later founded Hagshama with the aim of connecting developers with investors and allowing private investors to receive a high return on their investments. In 2013, he founded Cofix and led another commercial revolution for the public’s benefit. Today the Cofix chain consists of 100 branches and is expected to reach 110 branches by the end of 2015.
