Syukur Pudjiadi is the founding father of The Jayakarta Group. Under his leadership, The Jayakarta Group has transformed from the hotel business into prestigious property player in Indonesia. Syukur Pudjiadi opened the first Jayakarta Hotel for business in 1973 which has a restaurant, supermarket, and movie theater. To accommo-date the growing market in Jakarta, the hotel was renovated and in 1977, it was the tallest hotel building with 21 floors.
