Lambang kota Jakarta berbentuk perisai segi lima. Di dalam perisai terlukis pintu gerbang dengan dasar biru, di tengah-tengah berdiri Monumen Nasional warna putih yang dilingkari padi dan kapas yang di bawahnya terlukis ombak laut lambang kota pelabuhan dan negara kepulauan. Di atas pintu gerbang terlukis sloka Jaya Raya satu sloka gelora semangat segala kegiatan-kegiatan Jakarta sebagai ibukota dan kota perjuangan Negara Kesatuan Republik Indonesia

PENGANTAR

Dengan memanjatkan puji syukur Kehadirat Tuhan Yang Maha Esa, BPS Provinsi DKI Jakarta telah dapat menyelesaikan publikasi JAKARTA DALAM ANGKA 2011. Publikasi ini menyajikan data dari hasil sensus dan survei yang dilaksanakan oleh BPS Provinsi DKI Jakarta serta beberapa data sekunder yang berasal dari berbagai instansi Pemerintah maupun Swasta di Provinsi DKI Jakarta. Meskipun telah diupayakan kelengkapan dan penyempurnaan data yang disajikan, namun barangkali masih belum sepenuhnya dapat memenuhi kebutuhan pemakai data secara menyeluruh. Oleh karena itu kami mengharapkan saran dan kritik yang konstruktif dari berbagai pihak, untuk perbaikan kearah penyempurnaan pada publikasi yang akan datang. PREFACE With Praises and Honour to the God Almighty, Statistics - DKI Jakarta has completed the publication of JAKARTA IN FIGURES 2011. Jakarta in Figures 2011 presents statistics resulted from censuses and surveys conducted by Statistics - DKI Jakarta, as well as secondary data compiled from various government institutions and private organizations in DKI Jakarta. Efforts toward completeness and comprehensiveness of this publication have been made, however it might not fully meet all customer needs. Therefore, comments and suggestions for the improvement of this publication are always welcome. We would like to express our appreciation and gratitude to pertinent agencies, institutions, and organizations in Regional Government of DKI Jakarta, Central Government, and Private organizations for their assistance and contributions in the completion of this publication. Hopefully, this collaboration will be maintained and improved in the future. Catatan Perubahan Sebagai upaya peningkatan kualitas produk statistik maka sejak 2011 Publikasi Jakarta Dalam Angka mengalami beberapa penyempurnaan sajian selain pemutakhiran data (upgrading). Upgrading dilakukan dengan pertimbangan semakin lengkapnya tingkat ketersediaan data serta semakin beragamnya kebutuhan konsumen. Penyempurnaan yang dilakukan terhadap substansi Jakarta Dalam Angka dilakukan berdasarkan kajian terhadap publikasi sejenis dari negara-negara lain agar data yang disajikan dapat lebih terbanding. Sebagai konsekuensinya selain terjadi perubahan tatanan, analisis deskriptif yang disajikan pada setiap bab dihilangkan namun tetap akan disajikan sebagai bagian yang terpisah dari publikasi Jakarta Dalam Angka. Dengan adanya penyempurnaan kualitas data pada Jakarta Dalam Angka ini diharapkan kebutuhan masyarakat termasuk perusahaan dan pemerintah baik di dalam negeri maupun luar negeri menjadi semakin terpenuhi. Proses evolusi Jakarta Dalam Angka ini dimaksudkan agar muatan publikasi ini dapat menjadi lebih baik dan sempurna. Beberapa perubahan penting yang dilakukan mulai edisi 2011 adalah sebagai berikut : Cakupan Bab: jumlah bab bertambah dari 14 menjadi 16 karena adanya penambahan dan pemecahan beberapa bab. Muatan Bab: terdiri dari tabel, grafik, dan penjelasan teknis, sedangkan analisis disajikan terpisah.

Changes Notes In the effort of improving the quality of statistics products, since 2011 Jakarta in Figure has experienced improvements in terms of contensts and presentation besides data upgrading. Upgrading has been done in line with data availability and the varying demand of data consummers. The changes of contents in Jakarta in Figure referred to several Jakarta in Figure of other countries so that data presented in the publication are more comparable. As a consequence, the descriptive analysis of each chapter is not presented in this publication anymore, but it will be presented independently from this publication.

It is expected that the improvement made in this publication would be useful for data users including companies and government institutions in and out of the country. This improvement and upgrading process is aimed to provide a better quality of Jakarta in Figure.

The changes of Jakarta in Figure starting from the 2011 edition are as follows: Chapter Coverage: number of chapters increased from 14 to 16 due to adding and splitting chapters. Chapter Contents: each chapter consist of tables, figures, and technical notes, whereas the analysis is presented in separated publication.

Restrukturisasi Tabel: mencakup penambahan, pergeseran letak, dan perubahan format tabel. Data Terkini: beberapa tabel berisi data tahun 2011, yaitu inflasi, ekspor, impor, dan PDRB. Statistik Kunci: mencakup beberapa indikator penting bidang sosial-ekonomi selama sepuluh tahun terakhir. Penjelasan Teknis: terjadi penyeragaman struktur penyajian pada masingmasing bab.
