Pertemuan dihadiri juga oleh pejabat dari AS, Australia dan wakil dari ADB, GTZ, AusAID, EC, USAID, WCO (World Customs Organization), ILO, WHO, FAO, IMO (International Maritime Organization) dan APEC Task Force on Counter Terrorism

Pertemuan diketuai Mr. Napoleon L. Morales dari Filipina.

Lead Country untuk CIQS Task Force adalah Filipina

Indonesia ditunjuk sebagai Champion (Ketua) untuk Quarantine Group, dengan tugas :

1. Coordinate the activities of the Sector.

2. Assist in charting the strategic direction, identifyingpotential program, projects and activities, andaddressing bottlenecks in the implementation ofproject and activities of the sector.

3. Develop annual work plan for the Sector.

4. Monitor the implementation of Sectoral projects andactivities and report to the CIQS Task Force;

5. Provide technical and administrative support toSectoral meetings;

6. Facilitate the dissemination of information amongthe Sector members;

7. Facilitate the Collection of information pertaining toSectoral

Projects and concerns and submit to the Sector asneeded; and

8. Encourage private sector participation in SectoralMeetings and other related activities.

Focal Point Champion untuk Isu Karantina

Kesepakatan terkait isu Quarantine :

a. To initially implement the following priority programsand/or projects with the assistance of DevelopmentPartners and/or Multilateral Partner Organizations :

1. Conduct of Public Awareness Programs for keystakeholders in each Member Countries;

2. Conduct of training among quarantine officers andprofessionals in the sub region;

3. Construction of quarantine facilities in ports with noquarantine facilities and/or upgrading of quarantinefacilities in port with limited quarantine facilities.

4. Compilation, consolidation and dissemination of

quarantine information of Member Countries to

BIM EAGA stakeholders using BIMP EAGA

official website;

5. Completion of BIMP EAGA CIQS Primer to

disseminate CIQS Information to BIMP EAGA

stakeholders

b. Indonesia and Malaysia will hyper-link their CIQS

agencies website to the BIMP EAGA website
