Profesional competence is the habitual andjudicious use of communication, knowledge,technical skills, clinical reasoning, emotions,values and reflection in daily practice to improveyhe health of the individual patient andcommunity

attitude needed to perform effectively as amedical doctor Competency statement also implies that this

performance is carried out under a practicecontext or in another word contextualised.

Competency emphasiezes on what will beachived at the end of medical educationprogram, and not just about the acquisition ofknowledge or cogntive domain .

Competency statement requires an explicit levelof of achievment
