BRISyariah mengelola dana masyarakat untuk membiayai kembali usaha masyarakat dengan memperhatikan keselarasan kepentingan ekonomi, sosial, dan lingkungan hidup. BRISyariah menerapkan pendekatan green banking yang mengintegrasikan aspek lingkungan dan sosial dalam kebijakan dan proses pembiayaan untuk mendukung usaha yang berkelanjutan. Dengan demikian, kinerja keuangan berkelanjutan juga akan terjaga sehingga mampu menjadi sebuah dasar keberlanjutan.

Kinerja tersebut kami sampaikan dalam laporan ini; sebuah dasar pijakan untuk meletakkan dasar keberlanjutan yang kokoh bagi pencapaian tujuan pembangunan berkelanjutan (sustainable development goals/SDGs).

BRISyariah manages public fund to refinance community business by paying attention to the harmony of economic, social, and environmental interest. BRISyariah performs green banking approach that integrates environmental and social aspects in financing policies and process in order to support sustainable business. Thus, sustainable finance performance would be preserved, and capable becoming sustainability foundation.

This performance we present in this report; a groundwork to place a robust sustainability foundation for achievement in sustainable development goals/SDGs.

This sustainability initiative aligns with financial inclusion program proclaimed by government in encouraging national economic growth.

Melalui pendekatan green banking, BRISyariah mengintegrasikan aspek lingkungan dan sosial dalam kebijakan dan proses pembiayaan kepada dunia usaha. BRISyariah juga melaksanakan tanggung jawab sosial perusahaan (CSR) sebagai bagian penting dan menyatu dengan strategi korporasi jangka panjang yang dijalankan oleh Perusahaan.Through green banking approach, BRISyariah integrates environmental and social aspects in financing policies and process to business sector. BRISyariah also performs its corporate social responsibility (CSR) as an essential part and joined with long term corporate strategies.

BRISyariah selalu menjaga komposisi karyawan sesuai kebutuhan Perusahaan dan meningkatkan kompetensinya dalam bidang perbankan syariah untuk memberikan layanan prima kepada nasabah.BRISyariah maintains the composition of employees in accordance with the Company’s needs and improves their competencies in syariah banking to provide prime services to customer.

BRISyariah menerapkan tata kelola perusahaan yang baik di seluruh kegiatan/aktivitas operasional perbankan.BRISyariah performs good corporate governance in all banking operations.

For BRISyariah, sustainability means to integrate economic, environmental, and social aspects in the company’s operations policy, which aligns with corporate governance. This sustainability foundation is in line with five aspects (5Ps) in the interrelated sustainable development goals (SDGs), which are: people, planet, prosperity, peace, and partnership.

REPORT OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Assalamu’alaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh.Pemangku kepentingan yang terhormat,

Alhamdulillah, puji syukur kita panjatkan kehadirat Allah SWT yang telah membimbing kami melewati tantangan utama tahun 2016 akibat dinamika ekonomi global yang mengakibatkan pertumbuhan ekonomi domestik mengalami perlambatan. Data Survei Laporan Moneter Indonesia Triwulan IV 2016 Bank Indonesia menunjukkan pertumbuhan ekonomi 5,02%, di bawah target pertumbuhan 5,2% yang dicanangkan Pemerintah.

Pencapaian tersebut masih belum cukup mendorong pertumbuhan signifikan pada dunia perbankan. Data terakhir dari Otoritas Jasa Keuangan (OJK) melaporkan total aset, pembiayaan, dan Dana Pihak Ketiga (DPK) industri perbankan nasional hanya mampu tumbuh single digit. Oleh karena itu, masih diperlukan upaya

Alhamdulillah/Praise be to God, our gratitude to Allah SWT that has guided us through major challenges in 2016 due to the dynamic of global economy causing the slowdown in domestic economic growth. Survey Data of Monetary Policy Report Quarter IV 2016 of Bank Indonesia shows 5.02% for economic growth, below the growth target 5.2% announced by Government.

The achievement is still inadequate to drive significant growth in banking sector. The latest data from Financial Services Authority (OJK) reports total assets, financing, and Third Party Fund (DPK) of national banking industry only managed to develop in single digit. Therefore, substantial effort is needed to

Landasan KeberlanjutanPada saat kondisi perekonomian masih penuh dengan dinamika, kami berupaya untuk memperkokoh landasan keberlanjutan. Kami memulainya dengan inisiatif green banking pada tahun 2016 sebagai wujud komitmen untuk mengaktualisasikan keuangan berkelanjutan (sustainable finance). Komitmen ini tertuang dalam kebijakan perusahaan yang mengintegrasikan kinerja ekonomi, lingkungan, sosial dan tata kelola perusahaan.

Kami berinisiatif membentuk Satuan Kerja Pendampingan Implementasi Sustainable Finance. Satuan kerja ini membantu menentukan arah strategis dan target BRISyariah dalam meningkatkan integrasi keuangan berkelanjutan serta sasaran pelaksanaan dalam implementasi Keuangan Berkelanjutan (KB)/Lingkungan, Sosial dan Tata Kelola (LST) di BRISyariah.

Kami mengimplementasikan praktik inisiatif keuangan berkelanjutan melalui upaya: menerapkan kebijakan pembiayaan green banking; penguatan teknologi informasi (TI); mengelola sumber daya insani dan melaksanakan tata kelola berkelanjutan. Inisiatif ini bertujuan mendukung pencapaian sasaran peta jalan sustainable finance untuk periode 2015-2019 sebagaimana telah tertuang dalam Peraturan OJK (POJK).

Salah satu upaya yang kami lakukan adalah penguatan struktur permodalan. Dalam memperkuat struktur permodalan dan menunjang kegiatan pengembangan usaha berupa penyaluran pembiayaan, kami meluncurkan Sukuk Mudharabah Subordinasi I dengan akad mudharabah sebesar Rp1 triliun pada semester II 2016. Sukuk ini meraih rating A+ dari Fitch Rating dan oversubscribed hingga mencapai Rp2.075 triliun atau 200% dari rencana emisi. Strategi KamiKegiatan pengembangan usaha BRISyariah didukung berbagai kemudahan transaksi nasabah melalui layanan on-line banking/electronic banking untuk mewujudkan program inklusi keuangan yang telah dicanangkan oleh Pemerintah. Tahun 2016, kami mengintensifkan program Laku Pandai yang diprakarsai Otoritas Jasa Keuangan (OJK) melalui layanan Laku Pandai BRIS (BRISSMART) dengan pencapaian 284 agen dan 859 nasabah. Kami juga

encourage economic growth, especially in small and medium enterprises (UMKM).

Sustainability FoundationWhen the economic condition was still overwhelmed with dynamics, we endeavored to strengthen the sustainability foundation. We initiated green banking initiative in 2016 as commitment in actualizing sustainable finance. This commitment is expressed in company’s operations policy that integrates economic, environmental, social performances, and corporate governance.

We took the initiative to establish Sustainable Finance Implementation Assistance Working Unit. This working unit helps determining strategic directions and target of BRISyariah in improving sustainable finance integration as well as implementation objectives regarding Sustainable Finance (KB)/Environmental, Social, and Governance (LST) in BRISyariah.

We implement sustainable finance initiative practices through these efforts: implement green banking financing policy; reinforcement of information technology (TI); manages human resources, and performs sustainable governance. This initiative aims to support the achievement of objectives of sustainable finance roadmap period 2015-2019 as stated in Regulation of OJK (POJK).

One of the efforts that we conducted was strengthening capital structure. In the spirit of strengthening capital structure and supporting business development in the form of financing dibursement, we launched Mudharabah Sukuk Subordination I with mudharabah qardh Rp1 trillion in semester II 2016.This sukuk obtained A+ rating from Fitch Rating and oversubscribed until it reached Rp2,075 trillion or 200% of emission plan.

Our StrategiesBusiness development of BRISyariah is supported by various customer transaction conveniences through online banking/electronic banking service to realize financial inclusion program announced by Government. In 2016, we intensified Branchless Bank program that was initiated by Financial Services Authority (OJK) through Branchless Bank BRIS (BRISSMART) with achievement of 284 agents and 859 customers. We also amplified ATM BRISyariah

memperkuat jaringan ATM BRISyariah dengan jaringan ATM Prima dan ATM Bersama di seluruh Indonesia. Jumlah transaksi di ATM BRISyariah mengalami peningkatan sebesar 10,56% dari sebesar 15,43 juta transaksi di tahun 2015 menjadi 17,06 juta transaksi.

Pencapaian kinerja tahun 2016 tidak lepas dari dukungan sumber daya insani sebanyak 5.147 karyawan BRISyariah. BRISyariah berusaha untuk menjaga komposisi ideal antara lini Marketing dan Non-Marketing dengan tetap menjaga produktivitas dari tiap-tiap Unit Kerja. Selain itu, kami konsisten terus menjalankan program pengembangan utama, yakni Sharia Officer Development Program (SODP). Jumlah peserta SODP yang masuk kedalam tahap pendidikan pada tahun 2016 sebanyak 59 orang dari berbagai daerah dan Universitas di Indonesia.

Seluruh karyawan BRISyariah terus ditingkatkan kompetensinya melalui program pendidikan/pelatihan perbankan syariah. Pada tahun 2016, telah dilaksanakan pelatihan klasikal sebanyak 105 program dengan jumlah peserta 1.626 orang. Selain itu, terdapat pelatihan e-learning sebanyak 47 program dengan jumlah peserta 10.262 orang. Peningkatan kompetensi karyawan difokuskan kepada para tenaga pemasar agar berkualitas dan produktif. Secara bersamaan peningkatan kompetensi pada lini yang lain juga tetap dijalankan bagi karyawan BRISyariah.

Pada tahun 2016, kami fokus menerapkan strategi segmentasi dan komposisi pembiayaan green banking untuk mendukung program pemerintah, seperti pada segmen kelistrikan dan UKM. Pada segmen kelistrikan, pembiayaan green banking telah disalurkan kepada delapan nasabah untuk membangun Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Mini Hidro (PLTMH). Total plafon yang disetujui sebesar Rp233 miliar, telah direalisasikan sebesar Rp134 miliar, dan baki debet pada akhir tahun sebesar Rp59 miliar.

Selain itu, komitmen menuju keuangan berkelanjutan (sustainable finance) juga diwujudkan melalui segmen bisnis mikro. Pembiayaan mikro yang disalurkan meningkat 11,88%, dari Rp3,53 triliun pada tahun 2015 menjadi Rp3,92 triliun pada tahun 2016. Rerata pertumbuhan Mikro pertahun selama 6 (enam) tahun terakhir sebesar Rp583 miliar.

Number of SODP participants who managed to penetrate education stage in 2016 amounting to 59 people, coming from diverse regions and Universities in Indonesia.

Competencies of all BRISyariah employees are continually improved through sharia banking education/training program. In 2016, classroom training was conducted in a total of 105 programs with 1,626 participants. Moreover, e-learning training was held as many as 47 programs with 10,262 participants. Employee competencies improvement was focused on marketers in order to be qualified and productive. Competencies improvement in other lines were also conducted by BRISyariah’s employees simultaneously.

In 2016, we focused on the implementation of segmentation strategies and green banking financing composition to support government program, such as electricity and SME segments. In electricity segment, green banking financing has been disbursed to eight customers to build Mini Hydro Power Plant (PLTMH). Of the agreed total of ceiling of Rp233 billion, it has been realized to the amount of Rp134 billion, and debit balance in year end amounting to Rp59 billion.

Furthermore, committment towards sustainable finance was also embodied in micro business segment. DIsbursed micro financing in 2016 increased by 11.88% from Rp3.53 trillion in 2015 to Rp3.92 trillion in 2016. Average of micro growth per annual throughout the last 6 (six) years reached Rp583 billion.

Meraih Peluang BisnisKami juga berupaya mengenalkan operasional bisnis bank syariah kepada masyarakat melalui kegiatan tanggung jawab sosial perusahaan (CSR). Melalui program ‘BRISyariah Berfaedah’ pada bidang pendidikan, kami menghibahkan aplikasi laboratorium perbankan Sistem Aplikasi Laboratorium Minibanking BRISyariah dengan nama ‘SALAM BRIS’ pada tahun 2016 kepada 42 anggota Asosiasi Fakultas Ekonomi dan Bisnis Indonesia (AFEBI).

Pelaksanaan CSR ini merupakan salah satu strategi BRISyariah sekaligus investasi jangka panjang untuk mencapai pertumbuhan dan keberlanjutan (sustainability) Perusahaan. Kami meyakini peluang untuk tumbuh dan berkembang BRISyariah masih sangat besar, mengingat share perbankan syariah di Indonesia yang masih sangat kecil (±5%).

Optimisme meraih peluang masa depan yang lebih baik, kami bangun dengan terus berupaya meningkatkan dan melakukan perbaikan nilai pelaksanaan GCG di seluruh level unit kerja. Hasil self assessment penerapan GCG BRISyariah tahun 2016 memperoleh nilai 2 atau masuk dalam predikat “Baik”.

Terkait target-target yang belum terpenuhi pada tahun 2016, seperti pencapaian pembiayaan mikro yang baru mencapai 91,80% dari target yang ditetapkan, kami terus berupaya untuk mengimplementasikan strategi terbaik dalam menghadapi berbagai kendala. Kami berupaya mencapai semua target di tahun 2017.

Seizing Business OpportunitiesWe also strive to introduce sharia bank’s business operations to the public through corporate social responsibility (CSR). By means of ‘BRISyariah Berfaedah” program in education, we granted banking laboratorium application BRISyariah Minibanking Laboratory Application System or known as ‘SALAM BRIS’ in 2016 to 42 members of Indonesian Association of Economics and Business Faculties (AFEBI).

This CSR implementation is one of BRISyariah strategies as well as long term investment to achieve growth and sustainability of the Company. We believe the opportunity to grow and improve are still boundless since shares in Indonesia’s sharia banking is still relatively small (±5%).

With the optimism of achieveing a better future, we keep developing to increase and improve GCG implementation value in all working unit levels. Results of self-assessment in 2016 GCG BRISyariah managed to get score 2 or fell under the predicate of “Good”.

Related to incomplete targets in 2016, such as the achievement of micro financing that just reached 91.80% of the established target, we continued to implement outstanding strategies in facing various obstacles. We made efforts to achieve all targets in 2017.

Melalui proses focus group discussion (FGD) pada 1 Maret 2017, BRISyariah menentukan prioritas aspek dan isu keberlanjutan yang material dengan kategori tinggi dan sedang. FGD dihadiri oleh Corporate Secretary Group (CSG), Commercial Banking Group (CBG), Risk Management Group (RMG), Financing Review Group (FRG), Financing Support Group (FSG), Network and Logistic Group (NLG), Operation and Service Group (OSG), Retail Banking Group (RBG), Compliance Desk (COD) dan Human Capital Group (HCG) sebagai pemangku kepentingan internal dan akademisi, serta penggiat kinerja keberlanjutan perbankan sebagai pemangku kepentingan eksternal. Pelibatan Pemangku Kepentingan Proses identifikasi pemangku kepentingan menggunakan metode pemetaan berdasarkan dampak yang dipengaruhi dan mempengaruhi kehadiran BRISyariah. Hasil pemetaan dimanfaatkan sebagai acuan penyusunan sustainability roadmap. BRISyariah juga telah menunjuk Corporate Secretary Group untuk melakukan pertemuan, maupun berkomunikasi dengan para pemangku kepentingan yang lain. [G4-25]

Stakeholder Engagement Identification process of stakeholders used mapping method based on the impacts influenced by and affected the presence of BRISyariah. Wujud kerja sama Perusahaan dan karyawan dituangkan dalam Peraturan Perusahaan (PP) yang ditandatangani setiap karyawan. Peraturan Perusahaan ini disesuaikan setiap dua tahun.

Rantai Pasokan [G4-12]

BRISyariah memenuhi kebutuhan produk dan jasa untuk kegiatan operasional melalui pemasok yang diseleksi ketat berdasarkan prasyarat Perusahaan. Proses seleksi pemasok dilakukan dengan metode pemilihan langsung dan penunjukan langsung. Pada tahun 2016, BRISyariah bekerjasama dengan perusahaan atau institusi lain sebanyak 134 sebagai pemasok barang dan 139 pemasok jasa.

The embodiment of Company and employees’ cooperation is stated in Company Regulation (PP) signed by each employee. This Company Regulation is to be made compatible with every two years.

Supply Chain [G4-12]

BRISyariah meets product and services needs for operational activities through a tight selection process of suppliers based on Company’s prerequisites. The supplier selection process is conducted based on direct selection method and direct appointment. In 2016, BRISyariah worked collectively with other companies or institutions comprising of 134 goods suppliers and 139 services suppliers.

Kinerja keuangan merupakan aspek material bagi BRISyariah yang disajikan dalam laporan ini karena memberikan informasi penting pencapaian kinerja yang diraih selama tahun 2016.

Kinerja ekonomi terus ditingkatkan untuk menjaga pertumbuhan dan perkembangan, serta sebagai landasan bagi berjalannya kegiatan Perusahaan. Melalui upaya efisiensi dan perbaikan kegiatan operasional, BRISyariah terus berupaya untuk menumbuhkan kinerja positif yang ditandai adanya peningkatan laba sebelum pajak 41,13% pada tahun 2016 dibandingkan tahun sebelumnya. Kinerja ini meningkat dari pencapaian tahun lalu dan upaya-upaya terus dilakukan untuk meningkatkan laba hingga mencapai sekitar Rp400,39 miliar di tahun 2017. Evaluasi terhadap kinerja keuangan dilakukan melalui laporan keuangan sesuai dengan peraturan Bank Indonesia, OJK dan Standar Akuntansi Keuangan. Kinerja keuangan dipantau langsung oleh Direktur Operasional. [G4-DMA]

Financial performance represents material aspect for BRISyariah presented in this report as it provides significant information on performance achievement throughout 2016.

Economic performance continues to be improved to maintain growth and developments, as wellc as the foundation for the operation of the Company’s activities. Through efficiency and operational activities improvement, BRISyariah continued to cultivate positive performance which was marked with the increase of profit before tax of 41.13% in 2016 compared to the previous year. This performance improved from last year’s achievement and would be improving until it reached Rp400.39 billion in 2017. Evaluation to financial performance was conducted through financial report pursuant to Bank Indonesia’s regulation, OJK, and Financial Accounting Standards. The financial performance was monitored directly by Operations Director. [G4-DMA]

Kinerja Ekonomi BRISyariah membukukan pendapatan sebesar Rp2,63 triliun pada tahun 2016, naik 8,64 % dibandingkan tahun sebelumnya. Adapun laba sebelum pajak sebesar Rp238,61 miliar, tumbuh 41,13% dibandingkan tahun 2015. Pencapaian kinerja ekonomi tahun ini banyak dipengaruhi oleh kualitas pembiayaan, meningkatnya outstanding pembiayaan, dan komposisi pembiayaan yang stabil, serta turunnya biaya dana.

Tahun 2016, kontribusi BRISyariah kepada negara berupa pembayaran pajak sebesar Rp102,76 miliar, naik 199,14% dibandingkan tahun sebelumnya. Selama ini BRISyariah tidak menerima bantuan finansial langsung dari negara dalam merealisasikan seluruh kegiatan operasional. [G4-EC1]

Economic PerformanceBRISyariah recorded a revenue at Rp2.63 trillion in 2016, increasing by 8.64% compared to the previous year. As for profit before tax was amounting to Rp238.61 billion, growing by 41.13% compared to 2015. This year’s economic performance achievement was influenced by financing quality, the increasing outstanding financing, and stable financing composition, as well as the declining fund cost.

In 2016, BRISyariah’s contribution to the country came in the form of tax payment of Rp102.76 billion, increasing by 199.14% compared to the previous year. To date, BRISyariah did not receive direct financial assistance from the state in realizing all of its operational activities. [G4-EC1]

Pembiayaan Dunia Usaha BRISyariah sebagai lembaga intermediasi memiliki peran menggerakkan roda perekonomian nasional melalui pembiayaan kepada dunia usaha. Per Desember 2016 total pembiayaan sebesar Rp1,80 triliun, naik 10,18% dibandingkan tahun sebelumnya.

Dari segi kualitas pembiayaan, rasio NPF gross pada Desember 2016 tercatat sebesar 4,57% mengalami penurunan dibandingkan Desember 2015 sebesar 4,86%. Penanganan pembiayaan bermasalah dilakukan dengan menerapkan prinsip 3R, yaitu restructuring, rescheduling, dan reconditioning.

Business FinancingBRISyariah as an intermediary institution plays the role of moving the wheel of national economic through financing to businesses. Per December 2016, total financing amounting to Rp1.80 trillion, increasing by 10.18% compared to the previous year. Of financing quality, gross NPF ratio in December 2016 was recorded at 4.57% experiencing a decline compared to in December 2015, which reached 4.86%. The handling of non-performing financing was conducted by implementing 3R principles, which are restructurization, rescheduling, and reconditioning.

Pembiayaan Segmen MikroPembiayaan mikro merupakan salah satu pilar pertumbuhan bisnis BRISyariah yang berkontribusi 21,73% dari total pembiayaan yang disalurkan. Sasaran utama pembiayaan mikro adalah 75% pedagang sembako dan 25% pedagang pakaian di pasar tradisional. BRISyariah memiliki tiga skema pembiayaan segmen mikro, yakni Mikro 25, Mikro 75 dan Mikro 500. Sesuai dengan namanya, Mikro 25 adalah produk pembiayaan yang memiliki plafon sampai dengan Rp25 juta, begitu pun seterusnya.

Hingga 31 Desember 2016, BRISyariah menyalurkan pembiayaan kepada 347 outlet Unit Mikro Syariah, naik dari tahun sebelumnya 291 outlet Unit Mikro. Jumlah pembiayaan mencapai Rp3,93 triliun, atau tercapai 91,80% dari target yang telah ditetapkan pada tahun 2016 sebesar Rp4,28 triliun. Dari sisi tingkat kesehatan aset, tingkat NPF segmen mikro berhasil dijaga di kisaran angka 4,91%, dengan Repayment Rate (tingkat kelancaran pembayaran angsuran) masih diangka 90,3%. Micro Segment FinancingMicro financing is one of business development pillars of BRISyariah that contributed 21.73% of the total distributed financing. The main target of micro financing is 75% of nine-staple sellers and 25% of drapers at traditional market. BRISyariah has three micro segment financing, which are Micro 25, Micro 75, and Micro 500. Corresponding to the name, Micro 25 is a financing product that has a ceiling reaching Rp25 million, and so with the others.

Up to 31 December 2016, BRISyariah disbursed financing to 347 Sharia Micro Unit outlets, increasing from the previous year amounting to 291 Micro Unit outlets. Total financing reached Rp3.93 trillion, or 91.80% of the established target in 2016 amounting to Rp4.28 trillion. As for health assets level, NPF level of micro segment managed to be maintained at the range of 4.91%, with Repayment Rate at 90.3%. [G4-FS7, G4-FS14]

BRISyariah menempatkan teknologi informasi (TI) sebagai informasi penting yang disajikan dalam laporan ini karena teknologi berdampak langsung pada peningkatan efektivitas dan efisiensi operasional bisnis, serta pengelolaan informasi kegiatan usaha perbankan. BRISyariah mengembangkan kebijakan manajemen risiko, termasuk di dalamnya prosedur untuk teknologi informasi, jaringan komunikasi data dan standarisasi perangkat lunak, manajemen sistem akses, pengembangan layanan perbankan elektronik, serta keamanan aksesibilitas hingga disaster recovery plan.

Dengan diterapkannya teknologi pada aspek perbankan, Perusahaan menargetkan pelaksanaan sistem pembendaharaan dan anggaran negara-bank operasional II (SPAN-BOII) sehingga dapat meningkatan dana murah bagi BRISyariah. Telah ditunjuknya BRISyariah sebagai Bank Operasional II, maka ditargetkan pada tahun 2017 BRISyariah dapat melayani seluruh pembayaran gaji PNS/TNI/Polri di beberapa Kementerian dan Satuan Kerja di bawah Kementerian, diantaranya Kementerian Agama, Kementerian Pendidikan dan lainnya. Dengan ditunjuknya BRISyariah menjadi BO II, diharapkan dapat meningkatan pendanaan bagi BRISyariah.

Berbagai kemudahan transaksi nasabah ditawarkan BRISyariah melalui layanan on-line banking/electronic banking yang mampu menjangkau masyarakat luas tanpa terkendala batas waktu dan wilayah. Layanan berbasis teknologi ini sejalan dengan program inklusi keuangan yang dicanangkan Pemerintah. BRISyariah places information technology (TI) as significant information presented in this report for technology directly affects the improvement of effectivity and efficiency of business operations, as well as information management of banking activities. BRISyariah develops risk management policy, including its procedures for information technology, data communication network and software standardization, access system management, electronic banking service development, as well as security accessibility up to disaster recovery plan.

With technology implemented in banking aspect, Company targeted state treasury and budget system-operating bank II (SPAN-BOII) to increase low-cost fund for BRISyariah. After appointing BRISyariah as Operating Bank II, thus it has been targeted in 2017 BRISyariah will be able to serve all payrolls of Civil Servants/Indonesian National Armed Forces/Indonesian National Police in several Ministries and Working Units under the Ministries, among which are Ministry of Religious Affairs, MInistry of Education, and others. With BRISyariah appointed as BOII, it is expected to increase financing for BRISyariah.

Several customer transaction conveniences are offered by BRISyariah through online banking/electronic banking which able to reach wider public without limits of time and place. This technology based service is in line with financial inclusion propgram announced by Government. Menembus Batas melalui BRISSMART BRISyariah merupakan bank syariah pertama di Indonesia yang menerbitkan produk layanan keuangan tanpa kantor bernama BRISSMART (Sarana Menghadirkan Bank Syariah Terdekat) pada 12 Desember 2015, dan mulai berjalan pada Mei 2016. BRISSMART memberikan akses layanan keuangan bagi masyarakat luas yang belum mengenal atau menggunakan layanan perbankan.

BRISyariah bermitra dengan PT Sumber Alfa Trijaya (Alfamart) dalam rangka mengembangkan layanan BRISSMART. Dengan 12 ribu outlet Alfamart yang tersebar di seluruh Indonesia, layanan BRISSMART lebih mudah diakses masyarakat secara luas. Pengembangan produk BRISSMART ini sejalan dengan program Laku Pandai (layanan keuangan tanpa kantor dalam rangka keuangan inklusif) yang digagas Otoritas Jasa Keuangan (OJK). Sampai dengan 31 Desember 2016, transaksi perbankan melalui layanan BRISSMART mencapai Rp240.729.223 atau sesuai target yang telah ditetapkan Perusahaan. [G4-F13]

Menjangkau Nasabah dengan ‘Grebek Pasar’ BRISyariah mengembangkan layanan pembukaan rekening secara online dan pemasaran produk-produk pendanaan lainnya melalui program ‘Open Table’ dan ‘Grebek Pasar’. Kegiatan Grebek Pasar ini dilakukan di point-point of interest dengan tetap mengedepankan prinsip kehati-hatian.

Area yang menjadi sasaran, diantaranya adalah pusat keramaian, pusat bisnis serta masjid, dan sekolah-sekolah, juga area publik yang digunakan untuk acara-acara sosial yang menarik massa yang cukup besar. Kegiatan Grebek Pasar di tahun 2016 dilakukan empat di Kantor Cabang Besar, yaitu Bandung, Medan, Makassar dan Surabaya. Kegiatan ini menghasilkan 211 rekening pendanaan baru. [G4-F13]

A Breakthrough through BRISSMARTBRISyariah is the first sharia bank in Indonesia that published financial service product without office called BRISSMART (facilities providing the nearest sharia bank) on 12 December 2015, and started to operate in May 2016. BRISSMART provides access to financial service for wider public who has yet known or used banking service.

BRISyariah is partnered with PT Sumber Alfa Trijaya (Alfamart) as part of the effort to develop BRISSMART service. With 12 thousands Alfamart outlets spread across Indonesia, BRISSMART service is easy to access by wider public. This BRISSMART product development aligns with Branchless Bank program (financial service without office in the context of financial inclusive) which was initiated by Financial Services Authority (OJK). Up to 31 December 2016, banking transactions through BRISSMART service gained Rp240,729,223 or in accordance with the established target of Company. [G4-F13]

Reaching Out to Customer with ‘Grebek Pasar’BRISyariah developed online account opening service and other funding products marketing through ‘Open Table’ and ‘Grebek Pasar’. This Grebek Pasar is conducted at point-point of interest by continuously putting forward prudent principles.

The targeted area, among which were crowd center, business center as well as mosque, school, and public area used for social occasions that could attract greater mass. Pelayanan Berbasis TeknologiBRISyariah melakukan berbagai inovasi, enhancement serta optimalisasi pada seluruh layanan berbasis TI yang dimilikinya dengan tetap memperhatikan penerapan manajemen risiko, tata kelola TI serta pengamanan yang memadai. Pelayanan transaksi berbasis teknologi diimplementasikan BRISyariah untuk memudahkan transaksi nasabah, diantaranya pada pembayaran SPP universitas/sekolah, pembayaran gaji (payroll), pembayaran PBB, rekening koran online, serta implementasi layanan Devisa.

Saat ini nasabah BRISyariah juga dapat melakukan pendaftaran/pembayaran/pelunasan haji di Kantor Layanan Syariah (KLS) BRI. Fitur ini memudahkan nasabah BRISyariah yang lokasinya berjauhan dengan kantor cabang BRISyariah. Hingga akhir 2016, terdapat 756 lokasi KLS yang tersebar di kantor-kantor cabang Bank BRI, naik 12% dari tahun sebelumnya sebanyak 675 KLS. [G4-FS13]

Disaster Recovery Center BRISyariah terus melakukan pengembangan sistem teknologi informasi melalui enhancement Core Banking System ‘SYIAR’ yang dimilikinya. SYIAR memiliki arsitektur yang open platform dan open system sehingga lebih fleksibel untuk dikembangkan. SYIAR berada di data center maupun Disaster Recovery Center (DRC).

BRISyariah telah meningkatkan kapasitas DRC, baik pada link dan perangkat network, server, database, storage serta perangkat pendukung lainnya. Pengujian DRC dilakukan dengan mengoperasikan Core Banking SYIAR production dari lokasi DRC tanpa kendala dan penurunan kualitas layanan. Peningkatan kapasitas DRC ini merupakan salah satu bukti komitmen BRISyariah untuk memberikan jaminan keamanan dan ketersediaan layanan kepada nasabahnya apabila data center mengalami kegagalan sistem.

Technology Based ServiceBRISyariah conducts diverse innovation, enhancement as well as optimilization to all owned IT based services by continuously heeding risk management implementation, IT governance as well as appropriate security. Technology based transaction service is implemented by BRISyariah to facilitate customer transaction, among which were university/school payment system, payroll, land and building tax payment, online checking account, and foreign exchange services implementation.

Currently, BRISyariah customer is also able to perform hajj registration/payment/settlement at BRI’s Sharia Service Office (KLS). This feature facilitates BRISyariah customer whose location is distant from BRISyariah branch office. As of the end of 2016, 756 KLS location which spread at Bank BRI branch offices, increased by 12% of the previous year which was 675 KLS. [G4-FS13]

Disaster Recovery Center BRISyariah continues to perform information technology system developments through enhancement Core Banking System ‘SYIAR’ to which they own. SYIAR has architecture with which open platform and open system makes it more flexible to be developed. SYIAR is located in data center and disaster recovery center (DRC).

BRISyariah has perfected DRC capacity, whether on link and apparatus of network, server, database, storage, as well as other supporting apparatus. DRC testing is conducted by operating Core Banking SYIAR production from DRC location flawlessly and declining service quality. This improvement of DRC capacity serves as one of proofs of BRISyariah commitment in providing security guarantee and services availability to the customer should data center experiences system failure.

BRISyariah gains trust from OJK and WWF to be one of the bank pioneers involving in Pilot Project of Implementation of Integration Guidelines on Environmental, Social, and Governance (LST) for Bank.

Of Company’s internally, BRISyariah carried out green banking approach in operational activities by using resources efficiently. Proses penilaian calon nasabah green banking BRISyariah diantaranya mencakup pemenuhan dokumen analisa mengenai dampak lingkungan (AMDAL), pemenuhan aspek teknis pengelolaan lingkungan, hingga kesesuaian tata ruang yang seluruhnya diawasi dandilaksanakan dengan perizinan. Ensuring Sustainability FoundationBRISyariah has green banking financing policy to ensure client’s business would not bring negative impacts to environment and social. Risk assessment related to operational impacts on BRISyariah green banking customer is carried out through a series of fit and proper test as well as strict audit. Assessment process of BRISyariah green banking prospective customer, among which were the fulfillment of environmental impact analysis document (AMDAL), the fulfillment of technical aspect of environment management, and up to spatial conformity which overall was supervised and conducted with permit.[G4-FS1, G4-FS2]

BRISyariah berinisiatif membentuk Satuan Kerja Pendampingan Implementasi Sustainable Finance yang akan terdiri dari Project Steering Committee dengan dibantu oleh Project Secretary yang membawahi:

Satuan kerja ini bertugas membuat perencanaan, mengelola pelaksanaan serta mengawasi implementasi green banking secara komprehensif dan terpadu. Satuan tugas ini juga bertanggung jawab terhadap seluruh proses dan mekanisme program green banking yang terdiri dari serangkaian kegiatan pendampingan integrasi aspek Keuangan Berkelanjutan (KB)/Lingkungan, Sosial dan Tata Kelola (LST), khususnya pada pembiayaan berkategori berdampak risiko tinggi seperti sektor energi, infrastruktur, industri pengolahan, pertanian dan UMKM dan aspek lain yaitu operasional dan masyarakat. Dengan demikian, satuan kerja ini memiliki fungsi menentukan arah strategis dan target BRISyariah dalam meningkatkan integrasi keuangan berkelanjutan serta sasaran pelaksanaan dalam implementasi KB/LST di BRISyariah.

Secara berkala satuan kerja melakukan evaluasi bagi nasabah penerima pembiayaan green banking terkait pelaksanaan prinsip-prinsip keuangan berkelanjutan (sustainable finance). Kegiatan evaluasi dilakukan melalui kunjungan berkala minimal 4 bulan sekali untuk melihat kinerja keberlanjutan. Untuk itu, BRISyariah terus meningkatkan kompetensi tim satuan kerja yang bertugas menjalankan kebijakan pembiayaan green banking dengan mengikutsertakan mereka dalam kegiatan seminar dan pelatihan. Di sisi lain, BRISyariah mendorong nasabah yang mendapatkan pembiayaan green banking agar terus meningkatkan kinerja keberlanjutan melalui pembinaan dan sharing pengetahuan atau pengalaman berupa kegiatan diskusi. Inisiatif

This working unit is also responsible for all processes and mechanisms of green banking program consisting of series of integration assistance activities of Sustainable Finance (KB)/Environmental, Social, and Governance aspects (LST), especially on high risk impact financing, such as energy, infrastructure, processing industry, agriculture, and SME sectors; and other aspects, which are operational and community. Therefore, this working unit functions to determine BRISyariah’s strategic direction and target in improving sustainable finance integration as well as targets in KB/LST implementation in BRISyariah.

Periodically, working units performs evaluation for green banking financing beneficiary regarding the implementation of sustainable finance principles. The evaluation is conducted at least every 4 months to observe the sustainability performance. Therefore, BRISyariah continues to improve team competencies of working unit that responsibles for performing green banking financing policy by having them participated in seminars and trainings. Operasional Ramah LingkunganSejalan dengan pendekatan green banking, BRISyariah berupaya melakukan kegiatan operasional yang ramah lingkungan dengan cara menggunakan kertas, listrik, air, dan bahan bakar secara efisien.

Inisiatif penggunaan kertas secara efisien, antara lain menggunakan kertas bekas untuk kebutuhan internal dan menggunakan aplikasi e-nodin untuk korespondensi internal BRISyariah. Environmentally Friendly OperationalIn accordance with green banking approach, BRISyariah strived to perform operational activities that were environmentally friendly by utilizing paper, electricity, water, and fuel efficiently.

The initiative of efficient use of paper, among which was using used paper for internal use and utilizing e-nodin application for BRISyariah internal correspondences. As of 31 December 2016, the use of paper at head office reached 3,262 reams, rose by 13.46% of the previous year. The increase of the paper use depended on company’s business development.

Pada akhir 2016, penggunaan biaya konsumsi listrik di kantor pusat tercatat sebesar Rp1.342.209.109, turun 51% dari tahun sebelumnya. Penurunan terjadi karena perpindahan Data Center yang awalnya berada di Gedung Jamsostek, Jakarta Selatan ke Data Center BRI di Ragunan, Pasar Minggu, Jakarta Selatan dan juga mematikan lampu ruangan kerja ketika tidak digunakan dan jam istirahat.

Biaya penggunaan air di kantor pusat sepanjang tahun 2016 mencapai Rp90.478.891 turun 6,93% dari tahun sebelumnya. Penurunan ini terjadi karena komitmen karyawan untuk menggunakan air sesuai keperluan.

Inisiatif penggunaan bahan bakar minyak secara efisien dilakukan dengan cara mengoptimalkan penggunaan kendaraan secara bersama untuk tujuan yang sama (carpooling system). Sampai dengan 31 Desember 2016, biaya konsumsi gas/bensin mencapai Rp321.735.623 turun 2,8% dari tahun sebelumnya.

At the end of 2016, the use of electricity consumption cost at head office recorded at Rp1,342,209,109, declining by 51% of the previous year. The decline occurred because of Data Center’s transition which initially located at Gedung Jamsostek to Data Center BRI in Ragunan, and also turning off workroom lights when finished using and during break hour.

Water use cost at head office during 2016 reached Rp90,478,891, declining as much as 6.93% of the previous year. This decline was due to employee’s commitment in using water properly.

The initiative of efficient fuel use was carried out by optimizing collective use of transportation for mutual purpose (carpooling system). As far as 31 December 2016, gas/gasoline consumption cost reached Rp321,735,623 decreasing as much as 2.8% of the previous year.

MEMBANGUN MASYARAKAT Building Community

Sumber dana CSR BRIsyariah berasal dari dana kebajikan (qardul hasan) dan zakat. Dana kebajikan berasal dari infak dan sedekah (karyawan BRISyariah dan masyarakat umum), denda dari kegiatan penyaluran pembiayaan dan penghimpunan dana, pendapatan non-halal, serta dana sosial lainnya. Penggunaan dana kebajikan untuk pelaksanaan CSR BRISyariah merujuk pada Surat Edaran Direksi PT BRISyariah NO.SE.B.001-PDR/03-2016 tanggal 31 Maret 2016.

BRISyariah CSR fund was sourced from good deeds fund (qardul hasan) and zakat. The goods deeds fund derived from infaq and sadakah (BRISyariah and public), penalty from financing disbursement and fund raising, non-halal income, as well as other social fund. The use of good deeds fund for BRISyariah CSR was based on Circular of the Board of Directors of PT BRISyariah NO.SE.B.001-PDR/03-2016 of 31 March 2016.

Dana zakat berasal dari zakat profesi karyawan dan 2,5% dari laba perusahaan, zakat simpanan, zakat non simpanan, zakat nasabah serta masyarakat umum. Dana zakat yang terkumpul disalurkan kepada mustahiq atau yang berhak sesuai ketentuan syariat Islam melalui BAZNAS (Badan Amil Zakat Nasional) dan Yayasan Baitul Maal (YBM) BRI untuk kegiatan sosial.

MEMPERKUAT SINERGI KARYAWANSTRENGTHENING EMPLOYEES’ SYNERGY

Sumber daya insani (SDI) merupakan salah satu aspek material dalam menentukan keberlanjutan BRISyariah kerena kegiatan operasional bertumpu pada hasil kinerja karyawan.

Sejak 2014 hingga sekarang, Perusahaan menerapkan kebijakan ‘zero growth external recruitment’ dengan tujuan untuk memperkuat sinergi tim-tim bisnis dan pendukung bisnis yang lebih solid. Pada akhir 2016, jumlah karyawan tetap BRISyariah mengalami kenaikan 6,40% dibandingkan tahun sebelumnya.

Pada tahun 2017 rasio produktivitas yang dicerminakan dari besarnya jumlah laba/karyawan dan jumlah pendapatan/karyawan ditargetkan meningkat 20% dari tahun sebelumnya. Jumlah ini akan disesuaikan sejalan dengan target pertumbuhan Perusahaan. Evaluasi pelaksanaan pengelolaan SDI sepanjang tahun dinilai dengan menggunakan Sistem Manajemen Kinerja (SMK). Pemantauan kinerja SDI dilakukan oleh Grup Sumber Daya Insani dan diawasi langsung oleh Direktur Utama. [G4-DMA]

Human resources (SDI) is one of material aspects that determines BRISyariah’s sustainability as operational activities rest on employee’s performance results.

Since 2014 to present, Company has been implementing ‘zero growth external recruitment’ policy with the purpose of strengthening business teams’ synergy and more solid business supports. At the end of 2016, number of BRISyariah’s full-time employees experienced 6.40% increase compared to the previous year.

In 2017, productivity ratio projected by the total profit/employees and total target of profit/employees could be increasing by 20% of the previous year. This number would be adjusted accordingly with Company’s growth target. Evaluation of SDI management throughout the year was based on Performance Management System (SMK). SDI performance supervision is conducted by Human Resources Group and monitored directly by President Director. [G4-DMA]

Menjaga Komposisi Karyawan IdealBRISyariah selalu menjaga komposisi karyawan sesuai dengan kebutuhan Perusahaan untuk memberikan layanan prima kepada nasabah. Hingga akhir tahun 2016, jumlah perekrutan karyawan BRISyariah sebanyak 481 orang. Pada 31 Desember 2016 tingkat turnover BRISyariah berada pada posisi 10,79% atau menurun sebesar 39,90% dari tahun sebelumnya yang tercatat sebesar 17,95%. Secara umum turnover karyawan terjadi karena kurangnya pencapaian target. [G4-LA1]

Maintaining Ideal Composition of EmployeesBRISyairiah constantly maintains its employees’ composition according to Company’s needs in order to provide excellent services to customer. Until the end of 2016, total of BRISyariah’s employee recruitment amounting to 481 people. On 31 December 2016, BRISyariah’s turnover rate was 10.79% or declining by 39.90% of the previous year which was recorded at 17.95%. In general, employee turnover occurred due to the lacking of target achievement. [G4-LA1]

MENINGKATKAN KOMPETENSI KARYAWANIMPROVING EMPLOYEES’ COMPETENCIES

Peningkatan pendidikan dan pelatihan SDI mengenai perbankan syariah merupakan aspek material bagi BRISyariah untuk mendorong kinerja dan produktivitas seluruh karyawan. Pendekatan pendidikan/pelatihan karyawan dilakukan melalui kegiatan e-learning, in class training, dan on the job training.

Peningkatan kompetensi karyawan sejalan dengan upaya meningkatkan literasi perbankan syariah bagi pemangku kepentingan eksternal, mulai dari front office, back office, jurnal akuntansi, hingga pelaporannya. Selama tahun 2016, kegiatan peningkatan kompetensi dilakukan melalui pelatihan klasikal sebanyak 105 program yang diikuti 1.626 peserta dan pelatihan e-learning sebanyak 47 program yang diikuti oleh 10.262 peserta.

Pada tahun 2017, BRISyariah merencanakan pengembangan karyawan melalui media, diantaranya ujian dinas sertifikasi, pendidikan dan pelatihan untuk pemimpin cabang/cabang pembantu dan tenaga pemasar serta pelatihan melalui program ‘Yuk Kita Sharing’ dan video learning. Pelaksanaan pendidikan dan pelatihan perbankan syariah SDI dipantau oleh Grup Sumber Daya Insani dan kinerja ini dilaporkan kepada Direktur Utama. [G4-DMA]

Education and training improvement for SDI regarding sharia banking constitutes a material aspect for BRISyariah in order to encourage performance and productivity of all employees. Education/training approach for employees is conducted through e-learning, in class training, and on the job training.

Improvement of employee’s competencies is in line with the endeavor of improving sharia banking literacy for external stakeholders, starting from front office, back office, accounting journal, up to its reporting. During 2016, the competencies improvement was conducted through classroom training amounting to 105 programs that was followed by 1,626 participants and e-learning training amounting to 47 programs with 10,262 participants.

In 2017, BRISyariah is planning to improve employee development through media, among which were official certification examination, education and training for branch head/sub-branch head and marketers as well as training through ‘Yuk Kita Sharing’ program and video learning. Sharia banking education and training for SDI is monitored by Human Resources Group and this performance is reported to President Director. [G4-DMA]

Pengembangan Pendidikan/Pelatihan Perbankan Syariah Fokus pengelolaan SDI BRISyariah menekankan program pengembangan kompetensi internal dengan memberikan pelatihan/pendidikan perbankan syariah secara berkelanjutan.

Pada tahun 2016, jumlah peserta yang mengikuti pelatihan sebanyak 11.889, naik 34,08% dibandingkan tahun sebelumnya, yang sebanyak 8.867. Program ini diikuti oleh SDI antara lain dari: Segmen Bisnis, Support Bisnis, Operasional, Risiko, Kepatuhan dan Audit (pemeriksaan), dan Pengembangan Sumber Daya Insani.

Realisasi anggaran pendidikan dan pelatihan Sumber Daya Insani tahun 2016 sebesar Rp5,814 miliar, naik 3,93% dibandingkan tahun sebelumnya sebesar Rp5,594 miliar. Peningkatan ini karena bertambahnya jumlah pelatihan.

Sharia Banking Education/Training Development

Focus of BRISyariah Human Resources (SDI) development emphasizes on internal competencies development program by providing sharia banking training/education sustainably.

In 2016, the amount of participants who followed training amounting to 11,889, increasing by 34.08% compared to the previous year, which was 8,867. This program was followed by SDI, among which were coming from: Business Segment, Business Support, Operational, Risk, Compliance and Audit (investigation), and Human Resources Development.

Realization of Human Resources education and training budget 2016 amounting to Rp5.814 billion, increasing by 3.93% compared to the previous year amounting to Rp5.594 billion. This improvement was because of the increasing number of training.

Menebar SALAM BRIS Dunia Pendidikan BRISyariah mengenalkan operasional bisnis bank syariah kepada mahasiswa melalui kerjasama dengan 50 Perguruan Tinggi se-Indonesia. BRISyariah memberikan bantuan aplikasi laboratorium perbankan Sistem Aplikasi Laboratorium Minibanking BRIS ‘SALAM BRIS’ untuk dunia pendidikan yang telah disesuaikan dengan dunia kerja. Manfaat perangkat lunak laboratorium mini banking syariah ini bagi para mahasiswa antara lain mahasiswa mendapat pengetahuan praktis dalam operasionalisasi perbankan syariah.

Spreading SALAM BRIS EducationBRISyariah introduced sharia banking business operations to university students through cooperations with 50 Indonesian Universities. BRISyariah provides assistance of banking laboratorium application BRISyariah Minibanking Laboratory Application System ‘SALAM BRIS’ for education that has been adjusted to work environment. The advantage of this sharia minibanking laboratory software for the university students, among which was they could get practical knowledge in sharia baking operationalization.

Struktur tata kelola BRISyariah terdiri atas organ utama dan organ pendukung. Organ utama terdiri dari Rapat Umum Pemegang Saham (RUPS), Dewan Komisaris, Dewan Pengawas Syariah dan Direksi. Organ pendukung meliputi Komite-Komite di bawah Komisaris dengan anggota yang memiliki keahlian relevan dan sesuai dengan yang dipersyaratkan oleh ketentuan yang berlaku. Perseroan menerapkan kerangka pengelolaan risiko secara terpadu untuk mengendalikan 10 risiko yang terekspos di Perseroan.

Kerangka penerapan manajemen risiko tersebut, antara lain mencakup:

1. Pengawasan Aktif Dewan Komisaris, Direksi dan Dewan Pengawas Syariah

Dewan Komisaris, Direksi dan Dewan Pengawas Syariah bertanggung jawab atas efektivitas penerapan manajemen risiko di Perseroan. Dewan Komisaris melakukan evaluasi terhadap kebijakan dan proses implementasi kebijakan manajemen risiko yang dilakukan oleh Direksi. Evaluasi dilakukan dalam rangka memastikan bahwa Direksi telah melakukan pengelolaan risiko yang efektif di Perseroan. Dalam melakukan pengawasannya, Komisaris dibantu oleh Komite Pemantau Risiko.

Direksi bertanggung jawab terhadap pengelolaan seluruh eksposur risiko dan hubungannya dengan pengelolaan modal serta pengembangan budaya manajemen risiko. Direksi menetapkan kebijakan dan strategi manajemen risiko secara tertulis dan komprehensif serta melaksanakan kebijakan tersebut termasuk penetapan dan persetujuan limit risiko secara keseluruhan, untuk setiap jenis risiko dan setiap aktivitas fungsional Perseroan. Direksi di bantu oleh Komite Manajemen Risiko (KMR) sebagai komite tertinggi dalam sistem manajemen risiko Perseroan. KMR bersifat non struktural dan independen terhadap unit kerja operasional.

Dewan Pengawas Syariah (DPS) berfungsi melakukan evaluasi (review) atas kebijakan manajemen risiko yang terkait dengan pemenuhan prinsip syariah dan mengevaluasi pertanggungjawaban Direksi yang terkait dengan pemenuhan prinsip syariah. 2. Kecukupan Kebijakan, Prosedur dan Penetapan

Limit Manajemen RisikoKebijakan Manajemen Risiko (KMR) Perseroan menjelaskan tentang dasar-dasar kebijakan manajemen risiko Perseroan dan merupakan ketentuan tertinggi bidang manajemen risiko di Perseroan. Selain KMR, Perseroan pun memiliki kebijakan lainnya yaitu Kebijakan Aktiva Produktif Pasar Uang, Kebijakan Umum Pembiayaan Perseroan dan Kebijakan Umum Operasional Perseroan.

Company implemets risk management framework integratedly to control 10 exposed risks in the Company.

The risk management implementation framework, among which are:

1. On Site Supervision by Board of Commissioners, Board of Directors, and Sharia Supervisory Board

Board of Commissioners, Board of Directors, and Sharia Supervisory Board are responsible for the effectivity of risk management implementation in the Company. Board of Commissioners performs evaluation to policies and process of risk management policy conducted by Board of Directors. Evaluation is carried out to ensure that Board of Directors has performed effective risk management in the Company. In its supervision, Board of Commissioners is assisted by Risk Monitoring Committee.

Board of Directors is responsible for the management of all risks exposure and its relations with capital management as well as development of risk management culture. Board of Directors determines the risk management policies and strategies in writing and comprehensively as well as performs the policies including determining and approving risk limits thoroughly for each risk type and functional activity of the Company. Board of Directors is supported by Risk Management Committee (KMR) as the highest committee in Company’s risk management. KMR is non-structural and independent towards operational working unit.

Sharia Supervisory Board (DPS) functions to review risk management policies related to sharia principles fulfillment, and evaluate Board of Directors’ accountability relating to sharia principles fulfillment.

2. Adequacy of Policies, Procedures, and

Determination of Risk Management LimitsRisk Management Policy (KMR) of Company clarifies the fundamentals of Company’s risk management policies and constitutes the highest definiteness in Company’s risk management. Aside from KMR, the Company also has other policies, such as Money Market Earning Assets Policy, Company’s Financing Policy, and Company’s Operational Policy.

Penerbitan Pedoman Pelaksanaan Operasional (PPO) merupakan salah satu cara untuk memitigasi risiko yang akan muncul dilingkup Perseroan. Penerbitan PPO ini berfungsi sebagai peraturan tertulis yang digunakan unit-unit lain dalam menjalankan tugas dan fungsinya.

Prosedur pengelolaan dan penetapan limit untuk setiap jenis risiko disesuaikan dengan tingkat risiko yang akan diambil (risk appetite). Penentuan limit seperti penetapan limit aset likuid, limit posisi devisa netto dan limit pembiayaan ditentukan dalam KMR.

3. Proses Manajemen Risiko dan Sistem Informasi Manajemen Risiko

Proses manajemen risiko terdiri dari:a. Identifikasi Identifikasi dilakukan dengan menganalisis

seluruh sumber risiko yang terdapat pada setiap aktivitas dan produk-produk Perseroan.

b. Pengukuran Pengukuran risiko digunakan untuk mengukur

eksposur risiko Persero sebagai acuan untuk pengendalian.

c. Pemantauan Aktivitas pemantauan risiko dilakukan dengan

cara mengevaluasi eksposur risiko yang terdapat dalam seluruh portfolio produk dan kegiatan usaha serta efektivitas proses manajemen risiko.

d. Pengendalian Pengendalian dilakukan dengan mengelola

seluruh eksposur risiko, agar tetap berada dalam risk appetite dan risk tolerance, serta melakukan strategi mitigasi risiko.

The publication of Operations Guidelines (PPO) constitutes one of ways to minigate risks that will emerge in the environment of the Company. This PPO’s publication serves as written regulation used by others units in performing its duties and functions.

Management procedure and limits determination for each risk type are adjusted to risk appetite. Limits determination, such as liquid assets limits, net open position limits, and financing limits are determined in KMR.

Risk management process consists of:a. Identification Identification is conducted by analyzing all risk

resources identified in each activity and product of Company.

b. Measurement Risk measurement is used to measure Company’s

exposures in order to remain within risk appetite and risk tolerance, as well as performing risk mitigation strategies.

Sistem Informasi Manajemen RisikoTersedianya penggunaan metode pengukuran sistim informasi manajemen risiko dalam rangka melakukan kalkulasi secara tepat eksposur risiko pada setiap produk dan transaksi Perseroan, serta aktivitas fungsional Perseroan dan penetapan data dan informasi yang terkait dengan eksposur risiko sebagai input untuk mengambil keputusan.

BRISyariah melakukan penilaian profil risiko secara berkala kepada Otoritas Jasa Keuangan/Bank Indonesia. Dari hasil penilaian profil Risiko TW IV 2016, risiko komposit untuk BRISyariah berada pada predikat ‘low to moderate’.

Risk Management Information SystemThe availability of risk management information system as a measurement method in order to calculate risk exposure accurately in each product and transaction of Company, as well as its functional activity and determination of data and information relating to risk exposure as input for decision making.

BRISyariah carries out risk profile assessment periodically to Financial Services Authority/Bank Indonesia. Of the assessment result of Risk Profile of TW IV 2016, composite risk for BRISyariah was given the predicate ‘low to moderate’.

Sustainability Performance Highlights

Pencegahan Korupsi BRISyariah telah melaksanakan mekanisme manajemen anti-korupsi, termasuk anti-fraud sesuai dengan SE BI 13/28/DPNP tentang penerapan strategi anti-fraud bagi Bank Umum. BRISyariah memiliki dan menerapkan kebijakan khusus tentang fraud management yang didukung dengan pembentukan Satuan Kerja Anti Fraud, serta infrastruktur lainnya berupa ketentuan tentang whistleblower dan ketentuan tentang pengenaan sanksi bagi karyawan yang melakukan fraud. Kebijakan dan prosedur anti-korupsi BRISyariah disosialisasikan kepada anggota badan tata kelola dan seluruh karyawan melalui e-nodin, BRIS Newsletter, dan portal BRISyariah.

Semua Dewan Direksi dan Komisaris (100%) yang berjumlah 10 orang mengikuti pelatihan anti korupsi sepanjang tahun 2016, ditambah dengan 669 karyawan yang juga mengikutinya. Jumlah ini merupakan 13% dari total karyawan seluruhnya. [G4-

Sepanjang tahun 2016, BRISyariah telah mengidentifikasi enam kasus fraud yang telah dibuktikan dengan fakta. [G4-SO5]

Corruption PreventionBRISyariah has carried out anti-corruption management mechanism, including anti-fraud based on SE BI 13/28/DPNP on implementation of anti-fraud strategies for Commercial Bank. BRISyariah has and implements special policy on fraud management supported by the establishment of Anti-Fraud Working Unit, as well as other infrastructures in the form of regulation on whistleblower and such concerning sanction imposition for employees committing fraud. BRISyariah’s anti-corruption policy and procedure are socialized to members of governance body and all employees through e-nodin, BRIS Newsletter, and BRISyariah’s portal.

All Board of Directors and Board of Commissioners (100%), which in total consists of 10 people, participated in anti-corruption training in 2016, and so did 669 employees who participated in it. This number constitutes 13% of the total employees. [G4-

Menjaga kepuasan nasabah/pelanggan merupakan salah satu nilai budaya unggul yang dimiliki Perusahaan. BRISyariah menanamkan pada setiap karyawan agar memiliki kesadaran sikap serta tindakan yang bertujuan memuaskan pelanggan eksternal dan internal di lingkungan perusahaan.

Maintaining customer satisfaction is one of the best culture values owned by Company. BRISyariah instills in each of its employee in order to have attitude awareness as well as behaviors aiming to satisfy external and internal customer in the Company.

Survei Kepuasan NasabahBRISyariah melakukan survei secara periodik kepada nasabah. Survei ini bertujuan untuk mengumpulkan informasi layanan yang diberikan oleh masing-masing unit kerja.

Hasil survei kepuasan nasabah di Kantor Cabang memperoleh nilai 94,38%, atau naik 3,21% dari tahun sebelumnya dengan nilai 91,17%. Kenaikan nilai disebabkan naiknya kinerja produktivitas karyawan.

Customer Satisfaction SurveyBRISyariah performs survey periodically to customer (internal customer for Head Office and external customer for Branch Office). This survey is aimed to collect services information provided by each working unit.

Survey results of customer satisfaction at Branch Office received score 94.38% or increased by 3.21% of the previous year with the score of 91.17%. The increase was due to the increasing employee productivity performance.

Perlindungan NasabahNasabah BRISyariah dapat melakukan pengaduan terkait dugaan pelanggaran privasi melalui Call Center BRISyariah di 1500789 serta melalui media sosial (Facebook, Twitter dan Instagram). Mekanisme pengaduan nasabah dipermudah dengan adanya aplikasi online Complaint Handling System (CHS). Dengan aplikasi CHS tiap unit kerja yang terlibat dalam pengaduan dapat memonitor penyelesaian pengaduan sesuai dengan jangka waktu yang telah ditetapkan. Nasabah akan dihubungi kembali apabila permasalahan yang dikeluhkan telah diselesaikan.

Sampai dengan 31 Desember 2016, terdapat 7.256 keluhan pelanggan, turun 61,90% dibandingkan tahun sebelumnya. Jumlah keluhan dari badan regulator (OJK) turun 66,67% dibandingkan tahun sebelumnya. Semua (100%) pengaduan yang masuk telah ditindaklanjuti dan dinyatakan selesai pada tahun yang sama.

Customer ProtectionBRISyariah’s customer could file a complaint relating to alleged violation of privacy through Call Center BRISyariah at 1500789 and through social media (Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram). Customer complaints mechanism has been made simpler with online application Complaint Handling System (CHS). With CHS application, each working unit involved in complaint could monitor the complaint resolution according to the established period of time. Customer will be re-contacted if issues on hand have been resolved.

Up to 31 December 2016, there were 7,256 customer complaints, decreasing by 61.90% compared to the previous year. Total complaints from regulators (OJK) decreased by 66.67% compared to the previous year. All (100%) submitted complants have been followed-up and stated to be resolved in the same year.
