NATAL dan Tahun Baru 2014 sebentar lagi

ba. Beber-apa hotel di Bali mulai menghias ruangan dengan pernak-pernik Na-tal serta memberikan promo-pro-mo menarik, begitu pula Grand Istana Rama Hotel, Kuta-Bali. Grand Istana Rama Hotel mulai menghiasi lobby hotel dengan ornamen khas Natal. Pernak-pernik Natal telah menghiasi seluruh ruangan hotel, terutama gerbang utama hotel. Di sana, pohon natal sudah berdiri lengkap dengan ornamen dan lampu natal beserta kado-kado di bawah pohon.

Namun, ada yang berbeda dari pohon Natal di hotel yang berada di depan pantai Kuta Bali ini. Sebagai hotel bintang empat, Grand Istana Rama Hotel membuat kreasi pohon Natal dengan memanfaatkan botol bekas. Pohon Natal yang sudah berdiri dengan nggi 3 meter dan lebar 1 meter ini terbuat dari bo-tol-botol bir bekas, yang kemudian dihiasi dengan lampu, pita dan hiasan-hiasan Natal agar terlihat megah dan elegan. Bianca Rose a selaku Sales and Marke ng Mana-ger menyatakan bahwa pembuatan pohon natal dari botol bir bekas ini menghabiskan 350 botol bir bekas yang dikerjakan oleh team hou-sekeeping dan engineering Grand Istana Rama Hotel dalam waktu satu minggu.

Pohon Natal yang terbuat dari botol bir bekas ini sangat mendu-kung kampanye Go Green: reduce, reuse and recycle. Bianca menam-bahkan bahwa banyak pengunjung Grand Istana Rama Hotel Kuta Bali yang tertarik dengan pohon natal ini. ”Para tamu banyak yang mengambil gambar di samping pohon natal yang terbuat dari botol bir bekas ini,” lanjut Bianca. CHRISTMAS and New Year 2014 will arrive soon, some hotels in Bali began to decorate the room

with Christmas trinkets and give some interes ng promo. Grand Istana Rama Hotel, Kuta-Bali, began to decorate the lobby of the hotel with typical Christmas ornaments. Christmas decora ons have graced the en re room hotel, especially the main gate of the hotel. The Christ-mas tree has been standing up com-pletely with the Christmas ornament,

the lamp and the small gi s under the tree.

Nevertheless, there is something different from the Christmas tree at the hotel located in front of Kuta beach Bali. As the four star hotel, Grand Istana Rama made a crea on of Christmas tree by u lized the used bo les. The Christmas tree that has been stand-ing up with high 3 meters, and width 1 meter is made from used beer bo les. The presenta on of Tri Hita Karana Tourism Awards was held on 29 November 2014 at Bali Arts Centre Den-pasar. Tri Hita Karana and accredita on is organized by the Tri Hita Karana Bali Founda on, fully supported by Bali Government, and it is dedicated to emphasize the com-mitment of hotels and other tourism related organiza ons in maintaining the culture of Bali as well as every aspects in rela on with the Tri Hita Karana concepts, which are three harmonious rela onship between humans and spiritual environment, social environment, and natural

environment.A total of 136 hotels and agencies were recorded to

rou nely receive this pres gious award held every year.Governor of Bali, Made Pas ka, said in his speech

that the development of Bali should be based on the philosophy of THK considering it posed a local knowledge inspired by Hinduism. The Tri Hita Karana becoming the cornerstone of Bali’s development was meant to realize the clean, comfortable and beau ful nature of Bali.

Cultural performances showcasing dance and music from different provinces of archi-pelagic Indonesia, including SAMAN dance from Aceh province, tribal dances from the provinces of Papua and Kalimantan, besides various tradi onal dances from the Bali Prov-ince, were also given.

Students from the differently-abled school (with poor vision) of Pan Sosial Bina Netra (PSBN) Mahatmiya in Tabanan, Bali performed dance drama tled “Enlighten-

ment v/s Evil Darkness”. These students are going to par cipate in the SAMBHAV 2014 Fes val in New Delhi in mid-November organized by the ALPANA Society.

Young students from Sanggar Indah Prima (SIP) per-formed ‘Sekar Jagat’ Balinese welcome dance. Balinese pop ar sts performed ‘Jai Bhagwadgite’ while dancers/devotees from local ISKCON temple performed ‘Damo-dar Puja’. Students from Taman Rama Interna onal School performed a Bollywood-based dance & song, while a student from Senior High School in Denpasar (SMAN4) gave a Balinese dance performance. Four students from this school are going to par cipate in a leadership seminar at Modern School in New Delhi later this month.

The event received enormous support from several partners and Balinese organiza ons. Over 40 raffle priz-es were contributed by different organiza ons includ-ing Air India, Singapore Airlines, Thai Airways, Wes n Hotel, L Hotel, Melia Bali Hotel, and others. Two grand prizes of return air ckets on Singapore-Delhi/Mumbai/Chennai-Singapore sectors on Air India were won by a local Balinese and an expat Indian through draw of lots.
