ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh adanya temuan penggunaan katakana pada
kosakata selain gairaigo dan onomatope pada shounen manga dan shoujo manga
dimana hal tersebut bukan lah fungsi utama katakana. Sehingga itu bisa membuat
pembelajar bahasa jepang kebingungan ketika membacanya. Penelitian ini mengkaji
tentang analisis penggunaan huruf katakana pada shounen manga dan shoujo manga
selain gairaigo dan onomatope.Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui
kosakata apa saja ditulis dengan huruf katakana, apa persamaan dan perbedaan
penggunaan katakana pada shounen manga dan shoujo manga, serta untuk mengetahui
apa yang mempengaruhi penggunaan katakana dilihat dari sisi alih kode dalam
sosiolinguistik. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode analisis deskriptif.
Populasi penelitian ini adalah shounen manga dan shoujo manga. Shounen manga
yang akan dijadikan populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah Detektif conan, Fairy tail,
Naruto, dan Onepiece. Sementara shoujo manga yang akan dijadikan populasi adalah
3D kanojo,Aoharaido, Kaichou ha maid sama, dan LDK. Dengan sampel penggunaan
huruf katakana selain gairaigo dan onomatope. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, baik
pada shounen manga maupun shoujo manga penggunaan katakana ditemukan pada
kosakata kata ganti orang, kata keterangan, kata tunjuk, kata sifat dan kata benda.
Namun pada shounen manga penggunaan katakana lebih bervariasi dan sering
ditemukan pada kosakata kata ganti orang seperti `ore dan anta `, kata tunjuk seperti
`are` dan katakana untuk menekankan ekspresi terkejut seperti `are dan baka` .
Sedangkan pada shoujo manga penggunaan katakana justru lebih bervariasi pada
kosakata kata sifat seperti `kimoi` dan kata-kata untuk menghina `dasa dan bakayaro`.
Selain itu terdapat juga kesamaan diantara keduanya, seperti penggunaan katakana
untuk menekankan arti kata,emosi tokoh, grammar dan ekspresi terkejut.. Kemudian
dianalisis berdasarkan ahih kode dalam sosiolinguitsik, baik pada shounen manga
maupun shoujo manga, penggunaan katakana dipengaruhi oleh siapa yang berbicara,
siapa lawan bicaranya dan bagaimana situasinya. Hal ini menunjukkan adanya
beberapa fungsi katakana yang baru diketahui melalui media komik.

ABSTRACT
This research is motivated by the findings of katakana usage on vocabulary
excluding gairaigo and onomatopoeia in shounen manga and shoujo manga where it is
not the main function of katakana. So it could make the Japanese language learners
confused when reading it. The purpose of this research is to find out what vocabulary
is written in katakana, what the similarities and differences of katakana usage based on
its function in shounen manga and shoujo manga, and to know what affects the
katakana usage excluding gairaigo and onomatopoeia based on the code switching in
sociolinguistics. The research method used is descriptive anilisis method or
observation method with technique note. Shounen manga that will be populated in this
research are Detective Conan, Fairy tail, Naruto, and Onepiece. While shoujo manga
that will be the population are 3D kanojo, Aoharaido, Kaichou ha maid the sama, and
LDK. With sample are the katakana usage other than gairaigo and onomatopoeia. Based on the results of data analysis, both in shounen manga and shoujo manga the
katakana usage is found in the vocabulary of pronouns people, adverbs, pointers,
adjectives and nouns. However, in shounen manga the katakana usage in the
vocabulary of pronouns such as `ore and anta`, pointing words like` are` and katakana
to emphasize shocked expressions such as `are and baka` is more varied. While in
shojo manga the katakana usage is more varied on the vocabulary of adjectives such as
`kimoi` and words to insult such as` dasa and bakayaro`. In addition there are also
similarities between them, such as the katakana usage to emphasize the meaning of
words, emotion figures, grammar and shock expression. Then analyzed on the basis of
code switching in sosiolinguitsik, both on the shounen manga and shoujo manga, the
katakana usage are influenced by who is talking, to whom they are talking and what
the situation was. This indicates that the existence of several new katakana functions
have been known through comic.
