Kumamoto Water Science Museum

Kumamoto Water Science Museum:

Due to Mt. Aso, Kumamoto possesses an incredibly huge reservoir of groundwater/springwater. Kumamoto City is reputed to have the best and purest tap water in Japan. All tap water in the city is actually spring/mineral water from Mt. Aso. The ladies of Kumamoto are reputed to have some of the best skin and complexion in Japan due to this fact. They are always washing their face and bodies with natural spring water.


Aso Farmland:

Aso Farmland has one of the most interesting “Onsen” Japanese Hot Springs available in the country. Almost like a hot spring theme park due to the various types available to guests.


Saga Prefectural Space & Science Museum

Saga Prefecture Space & Science Museum is a place where people can have fun with science through participation and experience. It was designed to resemble a spaceship awaiting takeoff from a space station. The museum has 5 exhibit sections. demonstrates how science is both interesting and mysterious, “Discovery of Saga Zone,” which introduces the diverse ecosystems of Saga, “Toy Box of Science,” where people can experience mysterious phenomenon and “Kids’ Square,” where young kids can become familiar with science through play. There is a 200-person capacity planetarium on the 3rd floor which features a state-of-the-art projector. Many hands-on experience programs are available to museum goers.
