Dignitaries on and off the Dias, Distinguished Chief Guest,Thiru. K.Megraj, I.A.S.,
Namakkal Collector, Most Respected, Chairman Thiru. K.P. Ramaswamy,
VANETRA Muthayammal Educational and Charitable Trust! Respectable Treasurer
Tmt. Sulochana Ramaswamy! Dynamic Secretary Mr. Muthuvel Ramaswamy!
Respected, Executive Director Tmt. Manju Muthuvel! Learned Colleagues! Non-
teaching staff members! Invited dignitaries! Parents! Well-wishers! Beloved students of this
elite institution! Technicians! Press and Media Personnel! Ladies and Gentlemen!
With great pleasure, I stand before you to extend a warm welcome on the occasion
of 26th Annual Day celebration. It is indeed a pride and privilege and a great pleasure to
present the annual report of our academic activites during the Academic year 2019-20.
Established in the year 1994, it offered five Undergraduate Degree courses with 83 students
and a meager amount ofof the teaching fraternity. Today, there is a drastic improvement in
terms of strength. The total number of teaching on the roll is 244 (including ML: 14 Staff
Members) and the Non-Teaching staff members are 41 in number. The college obviously
shows a gradual upward movement in terms of Admission. The number has by and large
augumented (Total Strength: 4939 - Men: 2712 Women: 2202 (UG-4422; PG-492;
M.Phil-17; Ph.D-08).
I take immense delight in expressing my gratitude to all our teachers who have
toiled themselves for the growth of our students. Though our college is situated in a barren
terrain backward area, it attracts the attention of stakeholders. It is to be noted that
students from foreign countries showed their remarkable interest in continuing their studies
in our college.
We offer a vast array of programmes in Arts, Science and Commerce at both Under
Graduate and Post Graduate level. As of now, 17 Degree courses at the Under Graduate level
and 13 at Post Graduate level are offered to our students. Besides offering courses, we
endeavoured to promote Research ambience in the Departments of Biochemistry,
Microbiology, Biotechnology, Commerce, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science,
Chemistry. Moreover, the College has a dynamic Alumni Association with chapters in Salem,
Chennai, Bangalore and Bhutan.

Academic achievements
We know pretty well that education is very essential to students. To educate and
enlighten them, we adopt various teaching methods to motivate our students to complete
their degree successfully. And also, we make aplea to our students to complete their
degrees without any arrears and also make them Industry-ready by sharpening their life
skills of our students. I can strongly say that a host of meritorious students expanded their

horizons by attending seminars at National and International level. We are good at adopting
peer learning method of teaching and vigorous coaching. Conducting test, in general,
refreshes and polishes up their academic performance. To enhance their academic
competence in the University examination, we tailor a series of remedial coaching classes in
the innate interest of our students. It gives me a great pleasure to state that enrichment
classes are also conducted for the sake of meritorious students to make them as a university
Gold medalist /Rank holders.
